Bad place they go through personal items and "inventory them" I talked to some people who was also there her purse and wallet was taken and haven't return them and with financial instruments would not recommend them at all absolutely the worse towing company I have seen

Hide and Seek Recovery had my vehicle in their possession from June 12 to June 20, 2025. When it was finally returned to me, the vehicle was damaged and had been completely cleaned out — not a single personal item was left inside. Among the missing items were my children’s car seats, my license plates, a speaker system, electronics, cosmetics, and other valuables. Despite having the vehicle for over a week, none of my belongings have been returned, and I have received no response or explanation. I’ve called and reached out several times, but no one has followed up or taken responsibility. This company showed a serious lack of care, communication, and professionalism. I would not recommend Hide and Seek Recovery based on how my property was handled — or more accurately, mishandled.

They damaged and destroyed several things inside my vehicle. They broke the phone holder and broke my dash cam. They even took all the rounds out of my handgun that was secured in the vehicle and kept them when they returned the car. Horrible service.

Trash place!! Should be shut down due to poor customer service and no effort. Some of my stuff was stolen when my car was in their yard. They put your stuff in trash bags telling you that the lienholder told them to put it in there. Don't do business with these people as they're lazy and unprofessional

Yup! My car got got! I'm pretty sure they thought I wasn't coming for my vehicle, I did. HIDE AND SEEK ARE THIEVES!!! not only did they steal my stuff, but I had AMAZON packages from a route night before and they stole every single package, my tablet, and my battery booster! DONT SIGN OFF ON THE HARMFUL HOLD. It's their safety net to being thieves! I may not get my stuff back but you also started a fight with someone who has time! FAAFO as long as I'm breathing this is a constant review!

Worst tow yard experience I’ve ever been through and my car has been towed 4 times! They towed my car with my id in it and instead of handing me my purse to check, the worker went through my stuff without consulting me and it took 3hrs for me to get MY PERSONAL BELONGINGS. I don’t even know what stuff is on my belongings but the dirt and stuff etc was not on them.

When I say the worst place of business for a tow company, I mean just that. Not only are they unprofessional, but just overall not a good company to deal with on any level. Steer clear away from this company!!!!

this tow truck driver was driving erratically past me on the highway, speeding 15+mph over the limit & changing lanes without using a signal. i followed him into a residential neighborhood, where he ran a stop sign & continued to speed & turn without signals. when i confronted him about it, he had the nerve to get upset & call me a liar. i'm now permanently physically disabled because of dangerous drivers like this, & i don't appreciate your company allowing this sort of behavior. i reported the vehicle to the local police & will be alerting the neighborhood's HOA as well

Even though the situation is not the greatest going through a hardship is never easy, but having your car towed while having all your belongings and groceries is not easy as well! I am so thankful for the smooth process. I was skeptical as well from the reviews, but I prayed and remained hopeful. Each interaction was pleasant, with straight forward information. I found myself in an unfamiliar situation with my car repoed by these guys and didn’t know what to expect. Got everything straight with Chrysler Capitol and had a release letter in less than 24 hours. After reading all the bad reviews that were posted I was very skeptical and expected the worst but it was far from that. I went to make the appointment to retrieve my car but there was an issue so I called first thing in the morning and the lady was very helpful and said use the chat feature and they got with me and set up my appointment for later that day, I arrived early and they said no problem and everything went smooth. My property was not removed and no damage to my Jeep, be nice to them and they will be nice to you.

November/2023 I have some items missing from my car, also I don't know why whomever towed my car let my window down allowing a raccoon to get into my car and ruin some of my belongings as well! You leave the half empty bottle of perfume and water bottles, but take out of my vehicle a bottle of Eros Versace it is a full bottle $60 and some change! My car wasn't shaking and making a sound before your company towed it and the check engine light is on now! The Spanish man told me to file a complaint and he apologized saying he just took that store over. Please I want my things back and fixed Please and thank you! Trina Bishop I've been trying to file my complaint since I was given my car back, but it keeps saying the number is larger than the maximum which is the last 6 of your Vin I even tried 3 then 4 still the same thing still wasn't able to hit submit! Sad my car stinks because of the racoons your staff left my windows down. Truly don't know why you stole my things and then after I began complaining constantly, you then say it's your policy!

My truck got picked up on a Wednesday, I called them on Thursday and told them to leave my truck alone. I told them not to cut a key and I would be there the following Wednesday to pick my truck up. Showed up today got my truck and they totally ransack my truck and toolbox. Moved all my seats and messed up my automatic mirrors. This place is trash and should be shut down. Charged me $465 and the lady at the gate told me it would not be that much if they didn’t have to cut the key smh.

The breaking into your car and taking out all of your belongings to put in totes does not sit right with me. They make you stand at the street while they retrieve your vehicle and while you put your belongings back in your vehicle in an area that didn't feel safe. Also charges waayy too much for retrieval.

The situation sucked all together!!! But the service was great!!! The guy that helped me get my daughter’s car back was very pleasant. I hope that we never have to go thru this experience again but at least they weren’t rude to me and all her items were in the car.

I can’t speak for the other locations but I’ve had my car picked up three separate times (whoops) from reps at their Lancaster location and Every. Single. Time. They have been great, helpful and respectful There’s a guy that works the lot @ Lancaster and has been there everytime I pick up- big guy, bearded, always forget to ask his name. But they treat you with respect WITHIN THEIR ABILITY! If you call them and try to strong arm them into moving off their pickup procedures they will probably tell you to go kick rocks, as they should, it’s their house, their rules. But all the negative reviews and complaints here seem to be from entitled Karen’s who dont understand that they do not have to make things easier just to simplify your trouble…although if you’re decent to them and follow their stipulations they are 3/3 on returning the favor, and will help you out. 10 points to the big bearded lot manager for the Lancaster spot.

They will tow your car and steal 1/2 the items in your car. I'm surprised they are still in business, with all the shady thing they do. I went to pickup my belongings, and they gave a trash bag full of women shoes and school papers. Couldn't find my things because they probably gave it away or took it home. Unprofessional, they are the type of people to kick a man when he is down.

This is the rudest place I have ever called in my life. They start with having a attitude and love to say they don't need to do this, don't need to do that. As for getting your property back, that's out the window. Does not matter how much money and time you spend on getting your property back. They will not give it to you and they will be as rude as possible along the way. Excuse after Excuse. For anyone who has to deal with this place I'm so sorry.

They won’t answer their phone, the address listed is the wrong address making it impossible to find your vehicle. Even after paying all my fees I couldn’t get ahold of them and had trouble getting my property back. Even when you show the window say appointment only yet they don’t have any availability. Trying to get people to pay as many fees as possible. They are shady. Surprised they haven’t been sued yet. Their time is coming. Their address is 214 E Red Bird Ln, Duncanville, TX 75116

Tyler was very nice and helpful for both property and vehicle redemption. Both redemption appointments went quick and easy. Someone always answered the phone when I called and help clarify some of my questions. All my belongings were there and don’t see any damage on my car. I was very stressed at first, but everyone help me understand the process better and took a lot of the stress off.

Called several times to try to get my vehicle after paying and confirming with Loss Prevention that my vehicle was at their lot. Spoke to Diamond several times who claimed my vehicle was not on their lot nor did she have any paperwork. Diamond kept telling me to call the next day. I told her I was not going to do that so they can charge me an extra day of storage. Diamond then said they close at 3 so there is nothing she can do. After going back and forth with them and loss prevention for about 2 hours, Diamond then threatened to keep my vehicle for an additional 3 days and send paperwork to deny my release. I was finally able to speak to a supervisor who said all my paperwork was there and there should be no reason to keep my vehicle. I told the supervisor I wanted to file a complaint against Diamond for threatening to keep my vehicle and for the rude customer service she provided. Diamond can suck a huge eggplant for being the lazy, incompetent, rude person that she is

These reviews are out of there. My experience picking up my vehicle was a 9/10. Very professional about their job. Buuut i did notice some reviews quoted "they took personal belongings out of my vehicle" some being misplaced and some being returned... i had my handgun in there with an extra bullet holder. I did not find it when i got my vehicle i had to go back and ask for it. They returned my handgun but no bullets at all. Guy quoted "police come and inspect the vehicle". For what purpose though? Unsure as to why youd allow yourself to get in my vehicle & take it out to lock it up for safety reasons if you have lots of cameras. & the place looks very secured. A little problem that was resolved thankfully.

Not going to lie, i was nervous reading these reviews after i found out they were the ones with my vehicle. but i had a pretty good experience! the woman that answered the phone was so nice. she answered both times i called and also squeezed me in on a day with no more appointments. Kristian was awesome and reassuring and i got my vehicle back with no issues. I did have to come back to get my keys but they were pleasant all around! even the tow truck driving was kind of nice after i chased him down

To be honest i was dreading coming to this place after reading the reviews for just simply picking up property. I accompanied my spouse for back up (she is the lover, im the fighter). We had an appointment at 1:45PM and were in and out within 20 minutes with information issues. Chris or Christan (i forgot, I'm sorry) was very helpful and polite trying to get us in and out of the heat. Paid nothing to pick up our property and they never stepped foot in the vehicle. When I explained to him what I expected he says it's easier to write a bad review than a good one, which led to this POSITIVE REVIEW. Keep up the great customers service!! (Ft. Worth location)

I understand it's my fault the car is there. But scheduling an appointment to get MY OWN property out of the vehicle then my 3rd party getting there and the property was bagged and can't be found because the person is on vacation that bagged it is ridiculous. Extremely unprofessional. I had work items, my nephews car seat. And it's magically disappeared. No update since last Wednesday when I made the appointment the day before and the items were there. I NEED my stuff back.

it is my first time that I have this experience with this company, they took the car from my house and hit it from behind and when I pick up the car they tell me that they are not responsible for anything because they took a photo of the hit car when they already had it Inside the place, they told me that the car had already been hit and they told me lies that the car was taken from the front and my car was parked with the front part in front of the garage door. They are liars and collect people's belongings without authorization.

If I could give zero I would. I’m usually pretty open minded when It comes to operations, however, I feel like no one has consideration for people and their circumstances or their time. I understand you park illegally or whatever you may get towed. Had my vehicle towed. Paid to get vehicle back however after they received payment they make you make an appointment online. When that didn’t work they don’t answer the phone. Then once you have your “appointment” to pick up your vehicle, they don’t allow you to access the facility but don’t tell you to just wait at the gate. Regardless of the circumstance behind why the vehicle was towed you have to be responsive. They have poor processes and customer service. They took payment quickly however drug their feet to give me access to my vehicle that my daughter drives.
