SCAMMERS. Negative Stars. Weighed in with various visible metals. (Fencing/wire mainly with mix of tin and aluminum) Waited in line, got to the claw, unloaded, weighed out with 1600 lbs worth of metal.
After proceeding to check out, this is when the lady said they’re not paying for the wire from our load, even though it’s listed as accepted metal on the website. Not only did they not say a word about it during any of the process, they decided to guess the weight they wanted to pay. $21 for 1600lbs of metal. Scammers! Recyclers BEWARE!
Nice people. Kinda small for a tractor/trailer. Gotta watch out for traffic. But you're in and out in a timely manner. Scale is small so make sure to have your axles forward.
Rude girl at front desk that won’t say a word other than giving hand signals, also saw her beat on the window and yell at an old man on the scale so I know she wasn’t def. It was the one with the nose ring in case management wants to correct it, but it doesn’t seem like it since they watched it all go down. Hombre on the magnet crane likes to beat up trailers. Younger guy with the claw was very careful and respectful though. Scrapyard has potential if management steps up.
For those that bring in large loads the set up is great . The claw removes the top 2/3 and pulling forward to the magnet. Doing this takes the added weight of the claw off your trailer which helps protect your axles and especially axle bearings. You can also count on current market prices.
Wasn't sure how this worked, but the staff was very helpful. Weigh first,they collect your material then weigh again. Takes a little time but it's pretty simple.
While trying to safely drive home in the snow I slid very quickly across the loop directly in front of the corner of this fine establishment just inches away from a ditch and was there for about 30 minutes until 2 amazing young Latino men came and pulled me out and I thanked right before I rolled away from them and drove home !!!!
They are always fast and friendly. I have only taken cans for recycling, their price is .30 a pound. I took my cans this morning and made .90 cents for 3 lbs of cans, and got rid of some unsightly junk!! Woohoo!! Just what I needed! If you have some cans just laying around, this is the place to bring them to make few cents or bucks!!! Thanks Tyler Iron & Metal !!!!
They ripped me off 40 dollars 1.45 pound when its 236 a pound everywhere else don't go their sold number 1 and number 2 copper and brass and lot I would of got 120 at Phoenix scape in Garland
We called this morning to see how much they were paying for cast iron. We then called back this afternoon and a very rude woman told us they pay the same as they do for tin. Every other place plus the polite gentleman on the phone this morning says differently. We use to go here regularly but not anymore, we won't be returning.
