My dad's car broke down in Castroville, and Albino's truly went above and beyond to help him out. After calling them for assistance, they promptly came to pick him up and towed his car to their shop. Since the necessary parts wouldn’t arrive until the next day, they even drove him to a hotel to ensure he had somewhere to stay. The following day, they picked him up from the hotel once the car was ready. Not only was their service incredibly thoughtful and accommodating, but their pricing was also fair. Albino's genuinely takes care of their customers, and this is what real customer service looks like. I highly recommend them to anyone needing reliable auto service in Castroville. Daughters car overheated.She uses it for college & work.So I took the car and left it at Albinos to get checked out,put on machine and hopefully to get fixed.
When I arrived back at the shop I paid $80 for the car check , then the mechanic shaking his head and said it was very very bad and that I would need the cars heating system replaced and the timing chain since it's in the area and needs service as well.
I was quoted $3,500 and said that they can start right away.I told them I would make a decision and let them know. As I was walking out the mechanic then said we can instead charge you $2,000 instead. hmmm well,
Luckily I have an extra older car that my daughter used until I could get a second opinion elsewhere.
Well , the second opinion was an honest diagnoses from an honest mechanic who has a heart..It was the RADIATOR CAP!!! Car is running great now.no issues.
Albinos will try and rip you off. So Sad that people have to be so dishonest.From all this ..at least I found an honest mechanic in San Antonio.
And you have been honestly warned from a mom/grandma.So be careful and skip the rip offs at Albinos.
After attempting three times to get my inspection sticker & the area being closed, I went to Jiffe Lube in San Antonio where I found much better service & they were open. I will not be returning to Albino's again.
Stopped by for a vehicle inspection as I was sent here from another shop. Got there and was asked what I needed, when I said vehicle inspection they told me: "sorry we are closed...". Hours posted, staff on site, open doors, etc said otherwise... then they told me the system was down. Which one is it?
Brought my 13 to Jeep back to Albino's, even though I live in Colorado. His business is the only honest, reputable one I can trust without getting screwed over. He keeps you posted throughout the process and had a quick turnaround. I'll always use Albino's.
