I would like to post a review. Not something I normally do. But here goes. I am 68 years old and have dealt with several service shops over the years, and most of the time I was disappointed. But not with this shop. We have taken several of our vehicles to them in the past couple of years. It has always been a positive experience. I' want to give a shout out to Mindy. It is so refreshing to give my business to an automotive shop that I feel that I can trust.
Years ago, many friends recommended Eller’s to us, so we began doing business with them when they were at their old location. My husband buys and sells cars, and we take them to Eller’s for all necessary repairs. The new location is much further for us, but we stick with Eller’s for many reasons: they diagnose the problem quickly and always get it right the first time; never try to up-sell us; prices are always competitive; and we can always be sure they won’t try to scam us. Communication is great, service is fast, and everyone is friendly. They always make us feel as though we’re their top concern. It has been a refreshing experience. They’ve handled everything for us: from electrical issues, engine work, brakes, and even body and paint work—which turned out beautifully. This is one of the few remaining old-school family-owned businesses that know what they’re doing, know their customers, and know how to get it right the first time. So glad we found them. Definitely worth the drive!

Luckily Eller's is very experienced and more affordable than other auto shops, even though it's 20 mins away, I would prefer to go to Eller's

We were referred to Eller’s Auto Service by a family member. For most people, it might be far out (on Hwy 90W, past Castroville, going towards Hondo), however it’s definitely worth it!
If you live on the Far West Side of SA, Hill Country, or along the Hwy 90 corridor, I’d recommend considering Eller’s Auto Service.
You can’t lose with wonderful customer service, transparency, competitive pricing, and solid work.

Ellers cares about good customer service and satisfaction. When I had a turbo malfunction I was quoted $2000 from one local mechanic in Devine And came here and ended up spending $350. They also were able to get it done same day! I will be coming here from now on.
Took my truck in to get valve cover gaskets replaced. All the staff were friendly and professional. It took quite a bit longer than expected to get the job done, but they did get it done. Price was cheap and I have no more oil leaking. So, I'm satisfied. Definitely recommend and will be going there again, next time I need any maintenance/repairs.
Had my truck in there for almost a year 7 months to be exact! Give me the runaround. Only for them to break the original motor they gave me an overhauled older motor that is no good has a cracked head and now I am stuck with no vehicle!
If I could give no stars I would. I brought my vehicle there because it wasn’t starting come to find out it’s been evap code since I bought it. They change the ignition switch claiming that was the problem. Got the vehicle back and it does not run pass. 10mph and speed odometer doeDessn’t work and the gas needle never worked normally. I had one problem that needed to be resolved now I have 3 more problems and they refused to fix it without charging me. I am now a certified mechanic 2 years later. I would never recommend bringing my vehicle here. And I only brought it because of a referral. They are pocket thief’s. Thanks for not resolving nothing! Your son touched my vehicle and could tell me what they did.Desk Representative is of professional.
very well experienced and knowledgeable mechanics, and the front office staff was very nice and professional. took my car in and diagnosed it and had it ready the next day.
Can’t say enough about this shop. Took our suv in for multiple issues, front seat lumbar support was not functioning and the third row seat wouldn’t unfold. They troubleshot the issues, replaced a motor and switch. We were back in business in no time. Also did an oil change for me. We won’t be going anywhere else but here

Have used this shop for everything from repairing my p/u doors, tune-up, check engine light problem, and replace windshield wiper motor. ALWAYS great service at a fair price. Highly recommended !! 09/12/'23 Just returned from picking up my truck at Ellers. These guys work MIRACLES! They did not stop until they located the problem and dealt with it! Frankly I was becoming a little doubtful but they came through AGAIN !! AND am completely happy with the bill! Considering the amount of work I KNOW was done....it was bargain basement but with QUALITY results !!
My husband's truck is being fixed there as that's the town our transmission went out in. They told us it would be done Wednesday so we planned to go Saturday to pick up. Something came up and they failed to call us. It's Saturday It's still not finished. The secretary said she was going to call us back to see if we could pick it up this evening and now they won't take our phone calls to even let us know if we should be there today or when they will be finished. They are going to close in 4 min per the Google search and they have failed again to call us and let us know anything.
Best place to go for....well, anything really. Need an alignment? Need new brakes? Need an engine overhaul? Quiet place to go potty? Need a good recipe for Spanish rice? Eller's Auto Service is the place to go! Love this place!
I am new to the area and wanted o give Eller's a try. I got an oil change bringing my own top of the line oil and filter and had some minor mechanical work done. I am satisfied with the work performed and the service writer was nice.
Overall a great experience for my vehicle being in a bad condition. No complaints from me on time it took or the price. They gave me a estimate and didn't go over what I was told even with a few hiccups. I will definitely be taking mine and our other vehicles here from now on. Thanks guys!
Eller' Auto Service is excellent! I drove from San Antonio, TX to Castroville,TX, for an Outstanding car repair! I was a walk in but I didn't have to wait long. I had two diagnostic tests done on my vehicle in 2021 for one service. Eller''s Auto was able to beat last year's estimated prices... plus I had extra work done for less than the price of the diagnostic tests including labor! There are two John Eller's at this family-owned business. At separate times both John's took the time to explain what work was or wasn't needed on my vehicle. John Jr., mentioned that I'm going to eventually need a transmission. He explained how much just a rebuilt transmission costs..Ugh!! Both John's were honest enough to say that the transmission work wasn't an urgent matter and agreed that I could wait on this! Whew!! Most shops are in it for the money! I felt at ease and as though I was ALWAYS being told the truth!!! Did I mention that John Eller Jr. has a Batcholor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and worked on cars growing up?

I was impressed and yes, I asked a lot of questions!! The Customer Service is awesome everyone in the shop is very welcoming. The shop is clean and upkeep is nice! This is my new auto repair shop and I will let them do the body work my car needs too!! I highly recommend Eller's Auto Service and Body Work!!
I recently brought my car in because it was shaking when i would accelerate. They had my car ready by the end of the day. My car was in great shape and they're price was fair! I definitely will be coming back! I recommend!
I have used Johnny's services for years. They have kept my car (235,000 miles) running for over 5 years. Their prices are among the best and the results are tremendous. Their body work is second to no one. Even my skeptical ex-wife was completely impressed with their body work on my daughters car. (I've been known to accept lesser-quality for a cheaper price on some things) Lastly their turnaround time is exceptional. John the dad is a military veteran and has a great laugh when the joke is good.
I cannot believe the results! No more dents, scratches, all the parts look together! For the prices and the work they did, it was phenomenal. I feel like I’m driving a new car! Super happy with everything and I’ll definitely be coming here for my car needs! Thank you very much!
These people were fantastic. Came to Castroville for a long weekend, had an issue with the alternator. They got me in first thing and fixed my problem quickly. I am so glad they were such a wonderful group of people. Highly recommend!!
I've been using the Eller's family of garages for over 12 years. They are always quick to find and fix my vehicles problem for a very reasonable price without attempting to inflate with unnecessary fixes. They are the only family name that I trust with my vehicles.
2010 Ford Flex timing chain, water pump and shocks done. This is a big job and a lot could go wrong. Great work, car drives like new. If you are not reasonably satisfied with them, then you clearly don't understand the industry. Most likely you will not be satisfied with anyone. They treat people like family and take care of them.
Today I'm posting a review even thoe the work they did for me was couple years ago I took my 2007 gmc Yukon. I was having trouble with the oil pressure. I asked them for prices and wat they thought would be better for me to do. I decided to rebuild the engine $3600 was the cost. They took longer then wat expected first of all 2nd wen i got the truck back it was still having same issues. Long story short I moved out of state took the truck as is cause I was on a time crunch do to work . Truck made to destination. And has sat since cause I did have more money to invest in it till now. I had another mechanic look into the truck remove the motor and check to see what was up with it. He removed the oil pan being the oil pressure was and has always been an issue well to our surprise not only were there a ton of metal shavings. Which the gentleman at Ellers told me there would be cause they boared out the block and resurfaced everything. But we also found extra bolts and nuts on the oil pan. I'm beyond pist even thoe its been couple years just till did I have extra money like I said to invest in it. I'm just saying pick ur mechanics wisely and don't go to these back garage shops that don't do quality work and screw people over.
I highly recommend these guys! So honest and great prices! They definitely go above and beyond to make sure everyone’s vehicle is serviced properly.

I went there when my car was broken. They replaced the engine. After 6 days, my car stopped working. Went there again. Took 2 more days, I got the car again. The day after, it stopped working again. Went there again, took 2 more days again and again and again. They do not know how to fix a German car. And also my problem was just the engine. After I got my car fixed there, my coolant started to leak. So I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU TO GO THERE! BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!!
