Jesse was a great help and very communicative. He broke down the issues with my vehicle in detail and gave me several options on how to get my vehicle back on the road. He made my experience a lot less stressful, and also went over the repair financing options they had available.

I was pleased with the pricing and ability to quickly get the work done. My only complaint is that my vehicle now has a check engine light on that it never had prior to getting repaired. I brought the concern up to the front desk the next day and they told me I would need to make another appointment to get it checked out. I felt like this was something they should have taken care of.

Once again, excellent work and service from Goose! I had a simple upper brake light issue, and they were nice enough to quickly replace the small bulb free of charge. They are definitely the best auto shop in town, which is why I’m in my 2nd year of doing business with them. Thank you!

I had an excellent experience at Goose Automotive in Castroville! They were amazing — super helpful, fast-moving, and very professional from start to finish. The staff and technicians were kind, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything clearly. The manager Eileen was also extremely friendly and made sure I was taken care of. I brought in my Dodge Ram 1500 for diagnostics, and they quickly identified the issues and provided clear solutions. This morning I accidentally ran over a curb which made undercarriage hit bottom really hard. It was near all the construction at 90 and 471 gas station. I was sure I had major damage although nothing was visible to me and the car still ran. I took it to Goose Automotive for an evaluation to see if I could safely drive back to SA. Thanks to Jesse and another gentleman, they took the car into a bay for evaluation. In just about 10 minutes, Jesse advised me he could see no mechanical or other damage. I was so thankful for assisting me immediately and for their expertise. I would recommend taking your vehicle to these knowledgeable professionals.

I stopped in to have my tires aired up. They were very professional and had my car ready in less than 15 minutes. The office was nice and had a children’s play area (perfect for my 2 yr old grandson). Lots of seating, but no one waiting (good sign). They get you in and out!!! I will definitely go back!

I brought my son’s truck in to have the AC looked at. I communicated to the staff UPFRONT that I would bring it in right at opening because I needed it back by end of the day, as they are closed on the weekends. They did not start working on the truck until 5pm so by the time I got there at 5:45 to pick it up, they had not had a chance to fully determined where the leak was. They put Freon in it and charged me $279 which was completely gone before I even made it home 6 miles down the road. Not sure why anyone would do that knowing that it had a leak, other than to take me for $279 for absolutely nothing. Will never go back.

Just moved from Alabama, where you only need license plate only on back of your vehicle. Jesse, gladly screw in two holes and install my Texas license plate. Others places I went to wouldn’t touch it! Jesse did a wonderful job and did not charge me. He was So kind and professional! I will be returning with other car needs.

They do great work, got my brakes done and returned to get an oil change a couple weeks later. They do a full inspection of vehicle to notify you of any other issues you may have, and can opt in or out if those repairs at the time.

Do not use this place . 1 broke plastic trim off steering wheel 2. Said the vehicle was ready no more overheating after they replaced radiator and I picked the vehicle up and it overheated in 5 minutes in the parking lot. Had to leave another day. 3 they tore the under glow lighting off the bottom of the car and let it drag down the road. 4 . Scratched the bumper and fender leaving white paint on a black car. 5. The person on the phone explaining the cars issues kept referring to the evaporator coil which has nothing to do with the radiator and the work being done. 6 they lost the factory spring clamp to the hose and installed a regular screw pipe clamp. 7 I went in and asked them to replace the 2 radiator hoses and thermostat and they came back with hole in radiator and worn idler pulleys which is fine, approved all work. But the 3 items I wanted replaced were not. I do not recommend using Goose. I now have to repair their mistakes.and the radiator fan was not mounted back securely causing vibration

Had a great experience with them. This was my first time using this shop. I really like the detailed report/link that had what my SUV needed fixed and had pictures and video of what they found. The other thing I liked was the estimate (also linked) had the option to approve or decline the work. I felt with all that I had done on my SUV was at a good reasonable price. I like the contactless part of this, I was not pressured into doing something that was not needed. All was done by a text with a link to the Tekmetric shop report. Over all I had a great experience and have recommended them to my family.

I brought in my wife’s 2011 Jetta for an AC recharge after making an appointment on a Thursday afternoon to drop it off Friday morning, May 16. I dropped the car off at 10 AM and was asked if I needed it back the same day. I said no, I wasn’t in a rush. Later that day, just before closing around 5:50 PM, they called to let me know they wouldn’t be able to get to the car until Monday. I was fine with that since I understand shops get busy. Monday comes around and I don't hear anything all day. I get a call around 5:45 PM saying they tested the AC twice and it was "blowing cold." They said they'd test it again in the morning. They also mentioned adding UV dye to the system, supposedly to check for leaks. From what I gathered, they probably didn’t actually check for leaks since they felt the air was cold enough. On Tuesday, May 20, I received a text at 10 AM saying the car was ready for pickup and that the shop closed at 6. I showed up around 1 PM and spoke with Jesse, who told me they tested the AC a third time that morning and it was blowing cold. I paid \$270, got an itemized receipt showing they added R134a, and left. As I left the shop and turned onto Hwy 90 back to San Antonio, I rolled the windows down, turned the AC on full blast, and rolled the windows back up after about a minute. It took about 15 minutes for the car to go from warm to cool, and it never really got cold. Honestly, it felt the same as before. There was no noticeable difference, and I feel like I wasted my time and money. I wish they had just checked for a leak and tested the car during the hotter part of the day when the system is under real pressure. Testing early in the morning or in the shade does not reflect how the AC performs in real driving conditions (they said that they drove it but again, I don't know when that was exactly). If they tested it three times and still think that air is "blowing cold," then something's off. I will most likely not be bringing my wife’s car back to this place. I expected better communication, more accurate diagnostics, and results that matched what I was told.

Goose Auto Repair was the best choice for me. Their pricing was extremely reasonable compared to two other costs that I received. They were professional kept me informed of the outcome of my automobile repair. Integrity, honesty and professionalism are the pillar of what I demand and they stand up to my expectations. Please keep being who you are, and the service that you provide to your customers.

Had a metal piece dragging under my car called Goose in Castroville, spoke to Jesse, said to come on in, I did. It was something minor thank goodness, staff was really great and courteous. Glad to have them here in Castroville!

We really wanted to use this shop but will not be going back. After a not so great experience at another Goose location we decided to come here because our work was still under warranty. After they corrected the work, we set up an appointment to replace the timing belt/water pump, and valve gasket cover. This needed to be done and we thought we could trust this shop to do it. Unfortunately, accidents happen…but it is the response to the accident that is a redeeming factor for a shop. After the work was completed, the lower radiator hose had not been attached correctly- or at all. Upon leaving Goose, I immediately noticed the acceleration was off and there was a slight “whine” noise. I don’t live far, and had a toddler in tow so I proceeded to drive. White smoke began pouring out underneath the car and from the hood. As soon as I pulled into our driveway, there was a massive leak and severe burning smell. I tried to start the car to get it out of the driveway and it barely started. I called the shop and was told a tow would be sent the next morning since it was closing time. I received a text the following morning around 8:30 letting me know a tow would be sent. I had an appointment at 10:00 but told them I would be home by 11:00. I texted the shop just before 11 letting them know I was home. When I didn’t hear anything by 11:30, I called and was told the manager was sending a tow at some point today. I asked if they could provide me an exact time and was put on hold so this could be discussed with the manager. I was told they would have someone out within the hour. Tow was sent, and I followed to the shop asking to be provided updates as to what happened/needed to be done. I was assured they would clean all the coolant and double check to make sure everything was ok. They said it would take a few hours because they were going to replace the hose- cost was on them. I got a text around 4:30 saying it was done and was there 20 min later. The manager came out to inspect the car with us, only to find NOTHING had been cleaned. The coolant was still all over the underside of the frame, battery, and most other components under the hood. When I asked why it wasn’t cleaned she told us their pressure washer wasn’t working but that she could give us money to go get a car wash. I declined. I expressed my disappointment and she responded that she completely understood, and didn’t know why it wasn’t cleaned. A pressure washer out of order isn’t an excuse. They took it back again, to be properly cleaned and then Jesse walked me back to show me it had been cleaned. I had to wait over an hour for it to be properly cleaned and I was really upset at this point. If this shop couldn’t simply clean off coolant after being told it would be done, only to try and cover it up by saying the pressure washer was out of order, I don’t trust the work done for other things. When I asked how they knew engine damage wasn’t done they said they did a block test. I don’t have any confidence in the work done, or reassurance that damage wasn’t done. After we got home I double checked the radiator, only to find the coolant reservoir next to the radiator was bone dry. Filled it myself. Fast forward less than a week later,reservoir is almost empty, I am still finding my acceleration to be lacking, and after running a few errands the car was struggling to turn on. We are taking it for a second opinion. I really wish things did not go this way, but too many mistakes made. Big mistakes. The only reason I’m giving two stars is because of how kind and apologetic Jesse was (hope I’m spelling that correctly). I feel he had way more knowledge than the manager mechanically, and he apologized over and over. I could sincerely tell Jesse wanted to make it right.

On my way to a meeting last night, I got a large screw in my tire in a construction zone. I took it to Goose Auto Repair in Castroville this morning and they plugged it for me at no cost. I was in and out of there in less than 20 minutes. The team is very professional and helpful. I would recommend them for your auto needs. Great job Goose!

From the moment I called it was a pleasant experience. I got a quote over the phone for new tires and that's exactly what I paid out the door. I was given a courtesy ride so I didn't have to wait. Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable. I feel that the service went beyond expectations, doing a thorough inspection of the vehicle when I was just getting new tires mounted. I was pleasantly surprised to see that my floors had been vacuumed and my inside windshield had been cleaned. Definitely going back anytime I need any work done.
