Clean, comfortable, courteous These folk are the true definition of what a professional mechanic shop should be. They took me in as a walk in, quoted a beyond reasonable price, and had me out the door as quickly as they could. The head mechanic even took time to debunk some diagnostic issues another mechanic tried to talk me into doing - you heard me, they talked me out of spending money for repairs I didn't need. And they were friendly, I mean almost hospitable. Numerous times I was checked on, to a point I began to wonder if I looked distressed. This is how business should run, I hope I don't need them, but if I do, I'll gladly support them. This is an edit to an earlier review I drive an older automobile, and like many older auto's, things break down on them. Most of my truck is factory built and because it's old and used, it's lifeline is wearing out. That means repairs. I've taken my truck to other places and they keep it long, charge me a lot, and put a bandage on a bullet wound, I genuinely expected the same thing here....boy, was I wrong. I've done business with them before, but it was simple, this was not. This was one of those 'uh-oh' repairs that have you looking for a new truck just in case. But these guys are different. I dunno, it's very difficult to describe fully, it's as if they share that same auto with you. It's not just a way to make money, it's getting a part of the family healthy and running right. They could have gouged us, but, they didn't. They could have bent us over, but they didn't. Instead they were upfront honest, they helped us with a replacement rental, and they even shuttled us. The way they made me feel, was better than most family members do. If you haven't started using them, you deserve your car to break down.

I had my BMW service at safe auto repair, however the technician didn't perform the work that was needed causing other problems. However when the owner became aware of the issue he solved the problem for me. At the end of the day I was pleased with the outcome.

I did not like the interaction that I had with Lauren. I was very transparent with her about my situation. And how I could not be without a car. 15 minute diagnostic one day service. That’s what I was told. Made arrangements drop the car off on a Friday. They did not diagnose. I had to call Lauren to get the update and at that point she said only one person could check it and they were backed up and they could possibly get to it on Tuesday. It felt like a bait and switch and when I said something about it, she started going back-and-forth with me. it felt like a bad used car salesman. I asked to speak to who was above her and I never got a phone call back. I will never use them again. And just for reference my car is fixed and it was literally a one day service. With a different shop. Buyer beware.

Made me waste my time! I did an appointment to get an estimate for my diesel repair and show up on time, manager came a few minutes later saying that he had no body to work on the estimate and had no exact time, it would’ve been nice at least to get a call a day before so i could cancel or re schedule , drove 1 hr because i really had a good feeling about this shop but i had to look somewhere for my repairs

They do a really good job and do a complete check to see what is wrong with the vehicle. I would definitely recommend them and ask for Derek. He is very friendly and he stays in touch with you to let you know what's going on. So if you need work done on your car that's the place to go

People at front desk very courteous and helpful. I requested overall check up on my truck. Was given free check up with detailed pics of every thing. So I could pick what I wanted fixed or not. The engine light was on when I came there. They gave me estimate and started to work. Fast...effecient...and no bs. 3 yr warranty on all that they do...love this!!

I came early am with little wait! I keep hearing noise and vehicle pulling. So decided to stop by ! They checked my tires and internal wheel parts. I don’t know much about cars but the front guy and mechanics were very knowledgeable. Ended up finding what the problem was . I knew I wasn’t crazy hearing the noises. Great job and experience!! Everyone was helpful

DO NOT COME HERE! Would you trust a business that 14 hours ago gave you a quote for several services and then when you go, they make the price 150 dollars more, and on top of everything they call you a liar? (If google maps wouldn't hide reviews with bad words, this would be an Eminem song) - August 25th, 2025: I pass by the service shop, talked to the lady in the front desk and let her know what I wanted so I can get a quote (unfortunately I didn't get it written). It was oil change (with oil filter change), cabin air filter change, engine air filter and tire rotation. I had a coupon with some discounts. She told me: "let me talk with someone inside". She came out and said: it's about $100. I thought "that's a really good price". Just to make sure I mentioned to her 3 times what I needed, and she insisted that was the price. I scheduled for August 26th - August 26th: 2025: I go to the store, talk with another lady regarding my appointment, she gives me a different price, I told her yesterday the other lady told me it was about 100, she calls the other lady, who explain to her that the price was given by a big guy who I assume is the manager and she starts to give directions to the new lady of how to get to the $100 price. Then they call the big guy, and he tries to intimidate to me talking in a tone I didn't like it, saying: "it's 250, I see things here that were not present yesterday". I tried to explain that I talked to the lady and mentioned all the things, and she gave me a price, and they should respect it. He told me that I didn't mention everything yesterday (basically he called me a liar) and also the lady from the first day she said the same thing, in my face (what a miss of respect, they have no values as persons. If you miss your word, you are trash). I felt terrible by wasting my time dealing with this people, I am pretty sure they are not the owners, they are just employees, and they don't care about the customer.

I wasn’t going to leave a review, but since I’ve received more requests for a review than I ever got phone calls with updates on my car, here it is. This was my first and was my last time coming to this shop. My daughter's car sat there for over two weeks, and not once did I get the promised update calls—I had to constantly reach out myself just to get answers. The issue we had was that the battery was draining because the window kept randomly opening and closing on its own. I was quoted over $700 plus a $150 diagnostic fee to replace the passenger window module, harness and motor. Each time I called, I was told they were waiting for part to come in and they were trying to locate since it was showing to be discontinued. I eventually asked for the part number so I could try to help locate the on my end. After having my car for two weeks I called again to get an update and they finally ended up telling me to pick up car because they couldn’t fix it. When I finally got my car back, I did my own research and discovered this was a common issue in this car, and the discontinued part they told me I needed had nothing to do with my window components. The actual problem was a faulty door latch—something I was able to order on Amazon for $48 and fix myself. This whole experience was beyond frustrating and a complete waste of time.

First of all, I love the fact that this is a privately owned business and not owned by a private equity group that overworks & underpays a skeleton crew that is forced to overcharge and/or upsell at every opportunity. I got a detailed breakdown of all needed repairs along with the cost, and I was offered various ways payments could be made. They gave me a time frame of how long my vehicle would be at the shop, which seemed a bit long at first but there was a lot of work to be done and parts needed to be ordered so that’s fair. They finished early which was wonderful! It’s been a few weeks since my vehicle was repaired, and I feel like an excellent job was done as not only are my former issues gone but there are no new sounds or squeaks as have happened previously with other shops. Everyone I spoke with was courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. I definitely will use Safe Auto Repair for future repairs and will recommend them as they were recommended to me.

I thought my 2019 Ram needed a cam / lifter replacement and after they checked it out it turned out the fuel system was just dirty. They flushed it and did some other repairs to it and havent had any issues after. They are very detail oriented and I dont think they miss anything when it comes to diagnostic and quality. Definitely will be going back when I need work done!

Costomer Rep was not consistent with the messaging between me and the desk help.. said one thing but told desk help something else. I told them exactly the concern and eventually they agreed and could not do anything to fix it. Obviously a complete waste of time and noticed there were a few others that were not pleased with the care and service. Definitely not going back..

Brandon and the whole team at safe auto repair in Baytown are absolutely amazing. My husband had his cv axel come out of place. vehicle was towed to safe auto repair where they worked extremely hard to get our vehicle back to us by the end of the day and they did. Their rates are fair and reasonable will definitely bring my car back for any future work. Thank you so very much to the whole safe auto repair team you all are amazing.

Came in because a bracket came loose on my Chevy impala and it was scraping against my tire. Lauren was very kind and understanding to my situation because I did not want to be at a repair shop all day due to a missing bracket she directed me to Brandon who had my bracket fixed within 30 minutes. Would definitely recommend these guys to anyone and will be coming back in the future for any mechanical needs. Very kind and professional Atmosphere.

If I would give it a zero star Review I would, I took my vehicle to this place to check if I need to replace the brake pads or not and the horn aswell and obviously the inspection is free, but they came out saying that I needs a new ball joint suspension and also the horn need a new horn relay that’s causing the problem, They said that it came out with $1071.10 and that’s including the labor to do that job. I told them that I wanted to get a second opinion and sure enough it turns out that the ball joint is fine what a rip off, they will lie to your face There’s nothing wrong with it. Thankfully I got a second opinion cause if not, I would’ve gotten the rip off in this place. Don’t ever come here. Don’t waste your money here.

Was having problems with my air conditioner it wasn't cooling. Gave them a call on Friday at 4 knowing they were closing soon, to my surprise was told to bring it in. Not only was it excellent customer service the technician even stayed late to fix it for me. I would highly recommend everyone to go here if you're having any problems with your vehicle.

Axle broke on the way to the brand new concert. Got towed to safe auto. They fixed my car in less than a week. They were super honest about the findings and even offer a credit option for you to pay weekly. I recommend them to anyone. Three year warranty on the work done as well. Thank y’all safe auto.

The best in the industry, could not express the professionalism, the knowledge they have and how fast they are! If they are taking their time trust me it is because they care about your vehicle and want to make sure they do it properly and not a Jimmie rigg type fix. This place provided excellent service! I had my 2018 Jeep towed and they were fast, friendly and had me back on the road in no time! Oh and they provided me a free loaner so I was able to get to work while they worked on my Jeep. I would highly recommend, also everyone was very helpful and kind. Thank you!

We had a horrible experience with this shop. We chose this shop based on its high rating on google, but that was extremely misleading. From start to finish it was a complete disaster nightmare experience. We had our vehicle towed to this shop in hopes to get a FULL diagnosis on it and get it up and running again. What we received instead was sloppy work that will have to be repaired at another shop. There is a whole long story I could write out here but the main points are there salesmen CAMERON blatantly lied to us and attempted to sell us an entire new engine on our vehicle because the engine was “knocking”. When we asking for a video of this they could not even produce a video of the vehicle turning over all the way. We then were given an entire sales pitch from him on how $17,000 is a lot better than spending $80,000 on a new vehicle. Just for another representative to call us apologizing for CAMERON lying to us and that the engine is not knocking he can’t replicate the sound etc. We were told CAMERON is now at the Mont Belvieu location. It’s really pitiful to have to deal with dishonest people and it leaves a horrible taste in your mouth as a customer here for the first time. We ultimately paid our ticket and upon pulling out of their driveway our vehicle was running out of gas and BARELY made it across the street to the Chevron gas station. That was another red flag. We drove home about 10 minutes from the shop and parked it for a few hours while we ran errands. We got home to give it a proper test drive and see how it’s running and that’s when it caught fire by the fuel tank and lines that they worked on. My husband put out the fire and looked under the vehicle just to see dangling fuel lines, greasy finger prints all over and loose O-rings around hoses they worked on. Really just sloppy work and could have been so much worse had he not noticed the fire. We then left a lengthy voicemail as they closed already for the day. The next day were there as soon as they opened and were told by Doug I belive that he can’t refund us and that they would want the vehicle back to verify that they caused the fire. To which we replied that they are NOT credible at this point and we are NOT comfortable with them touching our vehicle at all at this point. He told me we would receive a call from the owners THAT DAY no later than 6 PM their closing time. Well, that call NEVER came. We are not a priority and never were despite all of the issues we incurred while attempting to have our vehicle repaired here. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE. I do not think this company hires honest people and they are definitely not doing honest work. During one of our trips to the shop we heard that same sales pitch being given to someone else. Please please please beware of this company if you’ve been lucky enough to have a good experience here I would just say to triple check the work. I don’t think they’re going to be refunding us our money. I will be contacting my bank at this point to figure out what can be done as we are ready to cut ties with this shop and find a shop that will do honest work and NOT lie to customers to ups-sale them. And also not verify that the work was done properly the first time. We took videos of under the vehicle so i just added one photo of the hose so whoever comes across this review can see. Right now we’re out over $2,000 and the company has seemingly ghosted us.

Took my car in for an oil change and they did a great job. The guy that wrote up my ticket was friendly and the waiting room is nice. Definitely recommend and I’ll be back when my car needs service.

Was a wonderful experience everything was explained and approved before they went forward and they worked well with my warranty co.will be using them as my normal mechanic on my Corvette. They got black beauty running great again.

03/03/2025 I like the way the owner who was probably the guy who was the one I was dealing with apologized only for the towe and not the gash on the side of my car. This guy has great anger issues. Wow I needed my car to start so I googled mechanics and went with my gut feelings. They offered a towe to their shop yesterday 02/272025 around 12 or 1. The towe man came and said are you paying or are they paying, I didn’t know how to answer that. I said I do. I was charged 135 for Graham Towing & something I forgot what else. So WDR called me this morning and said it was an electrical problem and that they want to run a diagnostic it was going yo be 135 something like that. I let them know that I spent too much money on the intowe. How can they charge 135 just to towe here in Baytown. It’s not customer service for them not to tell the customer that they should have the option to shop around for the cheapest towe driver. The man who manages got loud and asked that his guy did free basic things and that should his guy work for free? He asked would you work for free? Then he shouted that’s not customer service. He wouldn’t let me talk and spoke over me. Sad this man was so rude, never again will I come here and they have no customer service and my car has a big gash line running on the right side of passenger. Wow, God doesn’t like ugly.

Brought in a 2014 Jetta TDI, after spending upwards of 5,000$, the car left wdr with the same issue it was brought in for. EGR Cooler and DPF were “replaced”. Upon further evaluation I was also missing my skid plate, engine cover, and multiple missing bolts. My car is in worse condition now than when I brought it in. Lucky for them I can’t give a 0 star review.

This is my second time with WDR and I’d have to say that this place is definitely a few steps ahead of the rest. From the front desk to the waiting room, the shop to the service, they are top notch all the way around. The front staff was super friendly and helpful, the waiting room was clean, comfortable and fully stocked, the shop staff was knowledgeable and very thorough. The shop crew was more than willing to explain every aspect of the job in detail and in a way that I understood it. They kept me updated throughout the process and made sure that I felt like the priority. The owner, Justin, was very knowledgeable and friendly. He definitely takes pride in his business and does his best to ensure that he and his staff provide trustworthy and professional service while making you feel at home in the process. If you compare what you get from WDR to what you get from the other guys, WDR is not only more bang for your buck but, they also provide a much higher quality of service. WDR will definitely be my “go to” from here on out.

The team at WDR really blew me away. From the minute I walked in the door they went way beyond my level of expectation. I was really impressed with how clean and inviting the front desk and waiting area is and I was also pleasantly surprised to learn they work on both diesel and gas vehicles so I could bring my Audi back next time.
