Just left this shop. Let me begin by saying Ken runs a good and HONEST mechanic shop. He explained the issue, the cost based on if it can be fixed the easy way or the hard way. He kept his word and I got the price I was quoted. My dipstick funnel had broken in the pan of my Ram 1500 and it's not a easy fix.
This shop does most engine and vehicle repairs. You can bring your own parts, NO WARRANTY which is fair! Most mechanics uncharge you on parts, so they don't let you bring your own. In fairness just accept it isn't warranty, and you are getting a better price.
This location is honest and fair. Most mechanics honestly aren't. This place is deserving of business when your vehicle needs care.
Took my car to this shop based on good reviews. Sad to say the good service they offer is not offered to “everyone”. My bumper was removed and broken in the process to replace my radiator and they zip tied it back together and never mentioned the damage that was done. They also charged for a parts and labor that was obviously not completed. I would not recommend them to anyone.
As my daddy would say, “When you find a good, honest mechanic and not a parts changer, keep em!” Kens Auto is exactly that. I wouldn’t recommend them if I didn’t use them myself. And yes I use them myself. Just recently had my truck repaired for what I thought were bad O2 sensors which turned out to be bad catalytic converters. Go figure 🤷🏿♂️
Update: after using them for many years I had one bad experience about a year ago. Just make sure you double check any mechanic's work. That's all I'll say.
Took my car to a local shop that I've used in the past for an AC that would work sometimes and then it would stop blowing cold. This shop told me the compressor needed to be replaced for $1,400+. Called Kens and told him what it was doing and he said it didn't sound like the compressor needed to be replaced. Took it in and $300 later my AC is working like new. These are the type of people I like to do business with. Honest and fair is hard to come by these days, but I'll be using Ken's Automotive in the future for sure.
I was a mechanic in the army and I know when I'm dealing with a mechanic that isn't on the level. I highly recommend this shop. They are so professional and do excellent work. One time it turned out to be an easy fix and they didn't charge us at all. I trust these guys.
We are new to the area & we’re looking for a honest/fair mechanic when we found Ken’s Automotive. We’ve had a starter replaced on my car & a tune up in my husband’s car (Mercedes & Lexus). Both things were reasonably priced and the work has been too notch. So glad we found Ken!

Had trouble with my A/C system. Took it a different shop where I live. Was told that I needed to replace the compressor. Decided to get a second opinion, went to Ken's. Best decision, not only was the compressor just fine they were able to repair the system with a minor part, cost was VERY reasonable, less than 200 $, compared to approximately 1600 $ the first shop quoted. Repair was complete with in about 2 hrs.
Next time I will not waste time and effort to find a better place.

Words cannot even express how grateful I am to have found this shop!!! I prayed that God would lead me to somewhere to get my car fixed because the Hyundai dealership was going to charge me almost $900 to put on my alternator and a belt and was told it would take 2 days to get my car back LITERALLY!! So He lead me to Ken's Automotive!! I paid $522 and got my car back in almost 4 hours!! Hands down no doubt I never trust man or my own assumptions, but I do trust God's direction to people He knows that can be trusted!! Whoever reads this will not be disappointed!! Talked to one of the guys here at the body shop that needs some mechanical work done on my 98 blazer. I was being told by Precision Auto Repair that these are the mechanical issues that I'm facing. I'm not degrading Precision Auto repair at all. Not on here 4 all that. But $2300 versus $1100 is something that I'm totally against. Not only that, half of those issues was not even on the vehicle. I do tip my hats off 2 these guys 4 helping me out on spending $2300. Thanks a bunch, your the best and I do recommend these guys 2 anybody that is looking 2 get your vehicle worked on.

My car broke down at Winnie, TX, about 50miles from Ken’s shop. I called Ken around 10am and told him I would like my alternator replaced the same day so I can get to Austin, TX the same day. He promised he’ll take care of me, gave me the towing company phone number to get the car to his garage, and he ordered the part before I got there around 12:30pm. When I arrived one of his employees immediately started to work on the car with a big smile and they replaced the alternator in less than two hours. By 2:30 I was already on the road. What a fantastic service! Ken’s shop came through for me in critical situation and they won my trust. I highly recommend them for all your car service needs!
AC was not working right. Arrived at 4:30
They close at 5. Added Freon. Told me it needs a valve they did not have in stock. The valve was sticking. Told me to come back in the morning. Tried to pay my bill and was told they would get it tomorrow when I came in. Went back in the morning. Was charged $30:00. Great service. I recommend them.
Couldn't get truck inspected. We replaced everything we could think of. Engine light still on. 30 minutes at Ken's and running good and Passed inspection. Thanks
Had my air conditioner evacuated and recharged, drove around town and it wouldn't blow cold while driving. Went back and told him what was happening, he said they put the vehicle info in the computer and the machine does the rest, told me I probably had a bad part(all parts were brand new) or electrical problem. Went and spent another $80 on a sensor, didn't fix the problem. Started tracing wires, didn't find anything. Went on a wild goose chase trying to find the problem, when all was said and done, I paid them $178 to do the recharge, $80 on a sensor, and spent all this time and money and come to find out all it needed was a can of freon. So another $40. Not sure if its machine error or personnel error but I'm not happy and probably wont get my money back. I'll never stop foot back in this place and will not recomend that anybody go there either.
