Ellis Auto looked like a well run shop. I only went for an inspection sticker and they were efficient and professional. I will remember Ellis Auto if I encounter auto problems.

If I could give this business a NEGATIVE star rating I would. We took our car which we had just purchased 2 days earlier and was in pristine condition to get a knock sensor replaced they had us bring it in the evening before they were going to do the repairs, when we went to pick up the car there were 2 chips in the paint that were all the way down to the primer . When we brought it to their attention they said they hadn't done it. They said it was there when we brought the car in but we had shown the car to our neighbors before taking it in and it was not there. THEY ARE EXTREMELY DISHONEST AND I WARN ANYBODY THAT HAS A NICE THEY TAKE PRIDE IN DO NOT USE THESE LYING PEOPLE WHO HAVE NO REGARD FOR YOUR PROPERTY AND ARE THE MOST DISHONEST PEOPLE I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. BEWARE!!

Place was strongly recommended by a friend, all I needed on this day was Safety Inspection for my vehicle... Shop is busy with very knowledgeable & friendly techs, will probably come here for any future repairs when needed.

Chris Matthews was my technician and I could not be more pleased with the level of service, professionalism, and kindness put forth by him during our interaction here. Excellent prices as well. Highly recommend.

The WORST...This is my 2nd car I've taken here that ended up with more issues after I left. 1st car had to be towed 4 lights away that was $150, then another $150 for diagnostic when I told you what was wrong. After my alternator was fixed some how I ended up with a Crack in my fuel tank, stayed smelling gas the day I got it back home. Now my 2nd car was brought in for fuel pump. How do you take something apart and don't put it back together? Fuel pump in place, then I was the alternator and battery, then yesterday after the New battery was brought to the shop, Now they're are No lights, turn signal on the dash, No A/C or radio. But you called me to come pick up my car today. The last guy gave me my keys and left us there in front of the shop. Got into the car, back seat is not put together from when the fuel pump was installed. The car didn't even start, after 5 attempts then we couldn't get it to change gears. Finally was able to get it home and almost $1300 on just this one car. Just to get to looking and there's blown fuses. So here's what I think, the tech yesterday said there was no lights or turn signals working. The tech today said there's nothing wrong. So either some one is lying or you have people that half ass do their jobs. Then I tried to call the guy who locked up the shop and text, of course he didn't answer. WTH... Oh let's not forget that I looked up the prices for the parts needed and they're way cheaper than what you charged me, like $70+ cheaper... SAVE your money, Skip this place

Worst crooks ever. Took my car and said it was water pump. Thought my car was fixed. Then they messed up my coils, they replaced some coils my fiance even had to replace a coil. Drove it off and less than a mile, my car over heated again. This happened twice leaving the place. Then happened 3rd time. Took it back. The only honest guy was this young guy he said it was a fan relay. He said to pick up my car. Came to pick it up and they ended up saying it was a blown head gasket. I think they put the honest guy to lie as well. I'm not stupid, I know my car didn't have a blown head gasket. My car ran smooth. I know what it feels like to have a blown head gasket. I wasn't going to let them touch my car again. I picked up my car and took it to D Tech. The master technician said it was my fan and that there was nothing wrong with my engine. Spent so much money with the crooks and they wanted to charge me an extra $2600. D Tech fixed what they messed up like they loosened my power steering belt. Ellis auto is a nightmare. Beware. Thank God D Tech was recommended to me. DTech is honest. Go to D Tech. STAY AWAY FROM ELLIS AUTO!!

Amazing service, they came and got my vehicle not even an hour after calling, the tow was even in another town. Sadly my engine was running before I had it towed and after I got it back it wouldn’t even turn over. They also did not air up the tire before I towed it somewhere else. Luckily it was just a parts truck I wanted to see what was wrong with it.

David Ellis has a great automobile service business. He is honest in everything he does and it shows in his business & personal life. I encourage everyone to give this business a try, you will not be disappointed.

Went to get my inspected by myself for the first time, Chris was super helpful and gave me a lot of information about the process that I didn't know I needed. Will be coming back if I ever need work done or safety inspections!

A friend of mine had the worst experience. She went in for an oil leak, they charged her to repair her valve covers, thought the issue was fixed, great! Several days later her car is still leaking oil, she takes it back in for another assessment. They find that they missed the actual issue the first time, and the true problem is a blown head gasket. Mistake happen, fine. What the issue is how they handled their mistake. They quoted her an additional $2300 to fix THEIR OWN mistake, with no action to remedy the situation. She was taken advantage of and treated very unfairly. Be weary of this company.

I'm my opinion, best place to take your car for inspection! I didn't have to wait long, they got it done quickly, and the whole experience was very easy! I'll be back for my next inspection! Thanks guys!

Man I gotta tell you, these guys DEFINITELY know what they're doing. I've never been at a shop that has better service than these guys! They treat folks like family there too! My bruh-n-law got his car worked on TWICE. The work they did was always done good and right, and at a reasonable pace. Highly recommend for ANYTHING you need done for your 4-wheeled children! Keep these folks in business!!

Dropped my work truck off 10/26/23 and it was "running". Told them what the truck was doing and asked them to run a electrical diagnostic test on it. Was told the diagnostic would be $150. The bill shows $330. Told them to contact me prior to performing any other work. I didn't receive a call for a couple of days. I called them Monday morning for them to tell me they had changed the fuel filter. They told me that somebody had put something in my fuel tank. He said they wanted to drop the fuel tank and see what was in it. They showed me a fuel pump gunked up and trash in the pump housing. (We had replaced the fuel pump in February, ourselves). We let them go ahead and replace the pump. And a pigtail we knew was damaged. Now the truck won't start. They can't figure it out. Said they would have Lonestar wrecker bring it to us after we paid $1710. The wrecker dropped it off, my husband went out to see there wrecker with it. He dropped the truck and my husband pulled the fuel line from the filter turned the key. No gas. So he went to the fuse box and checked the fuse. It was blown. Changed the fuse and the truck started rite up. Has a fuel leak now that it didn't have, cost me $300 wrecker bill over $2 fuse. But they say they checked the fuses. I guess it blew while the wrecker was bringing it to us. Lol. Definitely wouldn't recommend them. Would not adjust the bill any for there inadequate repair work.

Ellis auto has worked on my car several times in the past year. They have away been very quick and efficient. Also communication is great they have always let me know what was going one and how long it would take. I won’t take my car anywhere else.

on 5/26/23 my daughter was in a wreck we was never contacted to ask if we would like to come get the car, car gets towed by this company. With Monday being a holiday we had to pick the car up the fallowing day. on arrival we ask for a jack to assist with loading the car up, the reply was "we don't loan out our tools". I do not recommend nor will i ever use this company again.

Charged me $212 for AC refill, while other shops charged only $70-$100. The coolant and what not only cost around $30, so he charged me around $160 just to plug in a tool to do the work for him. What an absolute RIPOFF

Ever since having the brakes and rotors on my vehicle serviced there, 3 different bolts have fallen out of the calipers (2 pins and 1 bracket bolt- I assume from not being tightened properly) and have had to be replaced. 10/10 would not recommend.

I took my car there 3x in a month(for the same issue) and they had my car over 14 days total in that time span. They lied to me about when they would get it looked at hence why they had it for so long. Over $2000 later after getting it back for the 3rd time, my check engine light came back on (same code that it’s been reading). I have an older car and they told us all these things that needed replaced (including a full tune up) to fix the one issue we were having and none of these things fixed the one issue and I’m still having the same issue. Then I popped my hood to find 2 bolts that housed something (not a mechanic so I don’t know what it was)but they were completely gone and they forgot to put those back in causing the tube to completely disconnect. Either they didn’t know what they were doing to fix the issue, or they are completely dishonest and will take full advantage of you. Not once did they ask “how can we make this right” like a good shop would of done. Continued charging us and my car is still not fixed. Would never recommend this auto shop to anyone.

My car was over at Ellis auto due to some unforeseen circumstances, and I have to say, Chris up there is amazing! Truly! He got me in real quick and made the process fast and easy! He is outstanding! Someone needs to give this guy a raise for real!

Tyler took care of my inspection with excellent and efficient customer service. Chris was thorough and fast, plus they have an “easy” button that still works! Can’t beat 10+ years of experience!

The team at Ellis Auto were terrific. We had driven from Colorado to Texas for a funeral, while there we hit an object in the road puncturing our radiator. They got us in quickly and worked with us to expedite the repair and get us back home. They were very patient and responsive and did an excellent repair. I truly appreciate their assistance during a week that was already very stressful.

I dropped off my BMW at Ellis on a referral to have the water pump replaced since I was unfamiliar with the cooling system on that vehicle. That was on a Monday & was told by Chris they'd get to it Tuesday. Friday I had to call (again) and was informed the water pump wasn't the issue. But they charged for it & changed the part anyway (with no call from Chris like he promised if issues arise). Only to be told the thermostat was the problem. $520+ and it's worse for the wear. Several dash lights on that weren't before. Greasy hand prints on the interior. Oh and Chris would rather lie to you when the truth sounds better. Only reason I have it a 1 is because I couldn't pick any lower.

Google should allow negative ☆'s!! Stay far far away from this place. They called us up there 3 times to let us know our a/c was fixed. First 2 times nothing had been done.. On the 3rd time they had overcharged the unit and blew my brand new compressor (which I had paperwork proving it was new not rebuilt). They then proceeded to yell and cuss that I had to pay or lose my truck!! The following day I talked with the owner who just had me pay the $70 worth of freon they used to blow up my compressor but finally gave me my keys back. The problem is I AM a mechanic and was just too overloaded with my IT job to fix this issue for my kids quickly in this heat. So anyone who actually doesn't know anything about the mechanics of your car DO NOT go here. They will lie to your face and rob you blind and claim any damage they did was "already like that". Bad business ethics.

There were great. They were efficient and done the work in timely manner. Kept us informed of what they found so we could decide how to proceed before charging me for work not originally known. Will use them every time I need care repairs

I was headed back from Houston to Oklahoma when my front hub bearing went bad and I almost lost my front tire. I called them up to see if they could fix it for me and they said they could. I ask if they could fix it right away and they said they were pretty busy and that it might be the next day. When I told them I was from Oklahoma city and trying to get back home they said if I could get there quickly they would get me fixed up that day.They jumped right on it and stayed 30 minutes after closing time to get me back on the road. Very friendly and professional services. The price was very reasonable. Just want to say thanks you guys were a lifesaver.

Let me start of by saying that I had a vehicle towed yesterday and the service I received from him was fantastic. No problems with him. However, his wrecker left a puddle of oil in my driveway. Naturally, I called to inform them. The woman I spoke with couldn't have cared less and kept asking me what I was asking her. What do you think? Yea left oil all over my driveway. What do you think I'm asking. Come clean it up! So now I get to spend part of my Saturday scrubbing my driveway. Thanks guys.
