I had been having problem with my 2012 ford f-150 for a while and was getting misquoted at multiple business and people kept giving me the run around with what the problem was with my truck until I came here. Brent was really honest ,super helpful & promised me to get me back on the road which he did! His technician Jason was phenomenal with installing my new transmission along with replacing my brakes , oxygen sensor and a new battery in a timely manner. This place is amazing from the customer service to the guys putting in the work if you have any trouble with your vechile bring it by here for the best work! Especially if it’s done by Jason!
I recently had some a/c issues with my truck, and Brent and his tech’s at Sparky’s Automotive were fantastic. Pricing was good and they got it knocked out within a day as soon as they got the parts. They did a thorough inspection and also found a valve cover leak. There was no pressure to fix this or that or to pay for any unneeded maintenance. They are very knowledgeable and honest. I also recently had my transmission replaced recently at another shop. Turns out transmission’s are a specialty of theirs at sparky’s and I would h e saved a couple thousand dollars if I would have taken it to Sparky’s. I highly recommend them and will be trusting them with any future repairs or maintenance.

Shop replaced our 2019 Ford Edge transmission, could not be happier with the result. Car drives smooth again, can't beat the 3 year 100,000 mile warranty that came with the transmission. Would highly recommend to anyone needing transmission work at a affordable price. Ford dealership wanted allot more.
Sparky automotive does not honor there warranty. And they made more issues on my vehicle and charge me for their mistake.
The guy in the front office is completely rude.
I had to take my vehicle back to them 3 times for the same exact issue that they made.
They were not knowledgeable on how to fixed the mistake they made.
As today, July 2025 I still have an unsafe vehicle to drive.
And they will not fix my vehicle with out charge me.
I absolutely do not recommend them.
And I cannot able to communicate with the owner of the issues they caused me.
First off, I am not making any false statements I am just stating the facts I do agree that maybe the shop was not knowledgeable enough to fix the gas leak issue that I got the same day the same hour that I picked up the vehicle after they replaced my fuel pump
I will not recommend this shop and I will not return for them to try to fix my gas leak issue because if they were not able to fix the issue on the third try, why should I ever think that they would do it on the fourth time
And I do admit that I was frustrated with the gas leak issue but I did not deserve the ways that Brent talk to me.
but I am past this issue I will not remove or change my review.
I know the shop was still try to make me out to be the bad person but actual fact is that they never showed me proof that they replaced any parts in my gas tank, which showed me invoices of the parts that they purchased specifically for my vehicle
I still do not believe that I should have paid anything for an issue that I did not have I feel like I was taking advantage of
Brent was amazing and his tech was a prodigy for his age with his knowledge and helpfulness. I was visiting from out of town and unfortunately had a passenger side axle snap while visiting the hill country. After speaking with Brent, he was able to get me in and out the next day and back on the road to home! I highly recommend Sparky's . Honest, competitive pricing and no bull service . I wish I had a local mechanic in Dallas like this! 5 stars across the board !
I am still on the fence? Brought in to have mechanic look at a PO841 code, 2 days later was told needs a transmission overhaul, here's how much, thank you. No conversation about what and why, questions or concerns.
I took my service van in to have the transmission rebuilt. The first thing I noticed was the shop was very clean and organized. Brent was thorough and explaining the process he always answered the phone and seemed to be organized. Pricing was fair and My service van is out of the shop now and has been running strong back at work. Thank you Brent and sparky's
Drove my car to them and Brent stated he don’t know how I made it there safely because my tire was extremely hot and would not rotate and told me he can not let me drive my car back home. Brent made sure I got back home by dropping me off. Someone made a post saying Brent is rude I highly doubt that he is the sweetest!!!!!!!!
I've reviewed this place before, but on a recent visit, I discovered they have a new person working here as a service adviser named Brent. Brent went above and beyond normal expectations and picked me up and brought me to the shop to pick up my vehicle that was ready to be delivered. And this was a Saturday when they are typically closed. More great service from these guys at Sparky's Automotive.
Go to sparkies!! They have definitely earned their stars everyone I spoke to was kind and patient with all of my questions throughout the entire process. Sparkies made sure my car was worked on in a timely and efficient manner they communicated with me honestly every step of the way and made a stressful situation seamless my car would barely move a few feet before stalling out and now she purrs like a kitten. Sparkies truly has the dream team of mechanics highly recommended!
I had an alternator go out, im 8 hrs from home, this company understood my situation and gladly helped me out on a Saturday right away!! Very friendly service from Brent at the front desk and mechanic Israel was top notch!! Thank you Sparkys!! Very professional!!

Brent was so helpful with the financing for my repairs and Mr Alfredo was very caring, helping me get my car towed to his shop and explaining to me everything needed to get me back on the road. Hey everyone that choice or come visit Spanky’s Automotive I’m a Chicago native here visiting San Antonio Texas to see my mom. We travel all the way from Chicago truck wasn’t accelerating correctly during low speed. Look for an automotive place seen that Spanky’s been around for 35 years sounds some excellent mechanics. What I stumbled upon was a gold mines! Listen when I tell you customer service with skilled mechanics front desk. I felt a great friend was going to work on my problem and help me solve it! The best place to bring your vehicle for transmission problems. They are a wonderful team that know the specifics of the transmission. In our case they didn't just say your transmission needs to be replaced. They figured out what was wrong with it. Good workmanship and that's hard to come by now a days.
Unbelievable service! Brought my truck in one day, they looked at it for free. The next day my wife hit a curb in her Tahoe and broke the upper arm to the wheel. I drove it in on New Years Eve and they asked how soon I needed the Tahoe back, and my response was ASAP. We dropped it off at 2:00 and he had it done by 4:15 that same day! Just incredible service!
