We just moved here and needed a place to take all of our boxes, paper and Styrofoam from the packers. You just need to sort out what you have and break down the boxes. You don't even have to get out of the car. They also hand out bags to fill up for yard waste. It has been very helpful and the guys are very nice and polite.
Should really tell residents that items must be sorted before arrival, or the workers simply toss the unaccepted items into your car.
After reading other reviews, I must’ve gone when those friendly service folks were on vacation.
NBTX should really consider placing containers in a lot and let folks drop off their own (like many places in TN and MS do). Then these friendly folks can sort and toss to their hearts content.
And we pay for this “service”.

If you want to take brush or tree limbs call ahead. They accept them up until they are at capacity then stop to have it all mulched. You can ever free mulch here also. I took a truck load of tree limbs, it cost $10 to drop them off. I only do this during burn bans or dry times of the year since I can’t burn them in my small burn pit. It’s quick and easy and since it’s a fixed rate you can load up as much as you want and make one trip.

Since the school districts removed paper recycling containers, I’ve been taking the junk mail and other recyclable paper to this center along with cardboard and styrofoam. I’ve been assisted by friendly and helpful city employees. Thanks for making this available.
I took some copper to recycle. The woman walks up to my jeep and opens the rear door but I never said there was anything back there. I get out and show her my box of clean shiny copper and she just takes the box sets it down and says "have a nice day" like I was really going to just say "thanks" and drive off. I asked her if she thought I just donated it. She then slings my box back towards my car. It was just bizarre. Then I ask her where I need to go to get it weighed and get my money she looks at me like I just spoke Chinese, and says "go to iron works" I ask her where that is and she just says "Google it. I felt like I just visited the Twilight zone. Never did figure out where "iron works is" Totally unprofessional and just LAME
My recycling is not being picked up twice in the last month upWhy? Caprock residents. Was out Wednesday evening and is still there at 8:25 pm Thursday and so is my neighbors.
Super helpful employees. I rolled up and they helped unload my truck of all my flattened cardboard boxes and paper. Nice facility. Thank you New Braunfels
terrible service was out of the country for work for 3 weeks still paid my bill and had no trash collected and have been skipped the last 2 weeks making for 5 weeks of no trash pickup followed by being told to pay 16 dollars to have someone come back cause the driver has a beef against me. even if I return my cans they will still charge me would advise not moving to New Braunfels since they are hostile in there practice of charging even if you don't get service stay clear. would give 0 stars but don't have the option to by google.
Genial employee. Recycles a good variety of materials. Note: Styrofoam IS accepted here, but only pure white Styrofoam! It must be separated from the rest. Happy recycling ♻️
Employees were courteous and very helpful. We are extremely lucky we live in new braunfels where we have these centers in place because of our tax dollars. This is one way to keep our city clean.
So grateful we have this place available for plastics, glass, metal and cardboard. The employees there are always so kind & helpful. We live in the country and do not have a recycle pick up. I would hate to have all our recyclables end up in the dump. Thank you!!!
