they were having "Phone trouble" for 6 weeks, then refused to help me do not go here. drive the extra piles for people who will mail the check to the right address. DO NOT GO here an do not believe anything Kat Oran Huerta tells you.
We bought a trailer from TSC. It disintegrated to the point of being worthless. We cut it up and brought it to Comal Iron & metals. Dive up, got weighed, and went to the drop-off point. The employee did most of the work offloading. After unloading, weighed again, received our money, and off we went. It is a very easy process
If you’re gonna say that, you close at 4 PM, don’t shut the gate at 3:50. You’re wasting peoples time. Besides, your rates are the lowest in all the county.
I took 2660 pounds of scrap metal and got 53 dollars. Is this correct or they are ripping off the customers????
Last week I took 1000 pounds of scrap metal and got 80 dollars, this makes me wonder Is this is even legal.smh.

Had the opportunity to visit this metal yard. What an incredible operation!!! I was welcomed warmly and even given a tour. What really stands out that this is a team who CARES. They are passionate about how the work they do helps our planet and sets a legacy for the future. Have you seen their pink bin?!? I love that I can recycle and help others in the process.
Tried calling a million times. Everytime you press zero it literally hangs up on you, or keeps playing the same menu till you are forced to hang up. I cannot comment on their services because their phone system is messed up.
A Big Thank you to Roger & co worker(my apologies for not remembering your name) of Comal Iron & Metals for helping my husband change out a flat tire 2 Saturdays ago. I am grateful for the family that runs Comal Iton & Metals. They have helped me get rid of a lot of metal over the years. I do not even bother with getting paid anything for it as I am just grateful they take it for free and recycle it!
We had a great experience this morning. I can't remember all of their names but they helped us unload our copper and brass. I provided my DL then signed and received a check. It was quick and painless. All of the guys there were very informative and friendly. We will definitely be back.
I chatted a question about scrapping riding mowers and they answered within 30 minutes. There was no wait, pulled up and was weighed, unloaded my scrap, pulled out and was weighed again and recieved my money. Very easy . Thanks Comal Iron.

Had a lot of metal in my garage. Needed a place to dump it. Brought it here, threw it out of the van, and got paid. I'm not sure why people are upset about getting paid to have a place to drop off their scrap. I thought, initially, that I would have to pay someone to come pick it up. They are providing a service and paying people to use it? I'm on board with that. Yeah, maybe they turn around and sell it for a killing... Good for them. If you want what they're making sell it yourself, otherwise be grateful there's a place that will turn something you just want to get rid of into anything at all. I'll be back if I ever need to be and if they only offer me a cup of coffee I'll still be a satisfied customer. Thanks for doing what y'all do.
Scrap metal prices have gone down a bit over the last couple of weeks. But what else would you expect with the knuckle-head running this government.
This place is very convenient to get to. The employees are friendly and quick. There is usually never a waiting line. Its a quick in and out.
It's pretty obvious, That they tipped the scale in their favor/pocket. I came there with more metal than I've ever loaded on my truck and somehow still managed to make less than I ever have whole entire time I've dealt with them. never once have I got more than $70 for my scrap metals. when I'll take the same amount over to green guys In san marcos,and walk away with over a $100 every time. ( They don't even have a reader out front to show you how much your vehicle ways with scrap in it so you never know what your vehicle is weighing with all the medals in it until you cash out. And that's how they get you after your 1st time of showing up they figure out how much your vehicle ways and they deduct what they want off at the top end. ) So far green guys is the best in this area price wise. Me and my husband are no longer using this company And suggest more people boycotting

This place is awesome! The people are so kind and organized. Even if you need someone to make you feel better, just go to these people!! They make you feel like 1 million bucks. Speaking of money, THEY PAID me to Get rid of my refrigerator when no one else would take it in new Braunfels Texas! They also have a little section that you can shop for cute items, old street signs, old sewing machines, gas cans, many amazing tool boxes, and MUCH more! you must go see it for yourself. I recommend Going to this place even if you’re not dropping anything off. Staff is AMAZING! GO GO GO! They beat anybody in New Braunfels!
Great Customer Service extremely friendly and super knowledgable in there metal and Iron products and services. The experience was super fast and easy. I Would highly recommend this company to friends and family.
I’ve had better customer service in jail than what I got there. Looking for some new steel they have avb. .... but to get anyone to help with it ... that’s a different story..... if I wanted a challenge... I’ll go to Walmart at midnight.
First time going there experienced was horrible we was trying to get help so we got off the vehicle and ask some of the staff that work there and they just ignored me like if I was talking to my self bad customers service wouldn't recommend this place if they have stupid people working with a bad attitude. Life is simple if you don't like your job dont work for that company you just make a bad reputation for that company that has succeeded much so you can ruined with your attitude

Hmm mixed reviews. Well I have been dealing with the comal iron and metals family off and on over the years. I find them to be good people. Their staff is helpful with unloading and looking out for the people. Sometimes there is haggling but I have never been to any salvage yard were their wasn't . Thats why it pays to carry your own magnet.
I find them to be fair and good. I wont go anywhere else if I can help it. I would recomend them to you as well.
make sure you look at the weight you have before taking it in. You have to go to the right of the counter and look over. We took like 7 loads in a row in that all came out at exactly 700 pounds ..... first time I look we have 820 pounds .... Make sure you know your weight and they see you look at the weight they have
