They charged me $6.00, $3.50, $.89 & $.89 for 4 plants that were marked down to $.59 and $.60, even after I told them. I got home and my $5.99 anniversary card was not in my bag that I needed my family to sign to take to the party the next day. This was the main reason I went to the store. Those guys were in too much of a hurry checking me out and bagging my groceries!
This experience was unacceptable. The deli employee with the name tag Bijan was openly rude, had a nasty attitude, and acted annoyed at having to do his job. He was also disrespectful toward other employees, which was uncomfortable to witness.
To make matters worse, he gave me the wrong item even though my order was clear. I’ve had great service at this deli before from another employee, so this behavior is clearly not acceptable for this location.
Management needs to address this. I hope no one else has to go through such a terrible experience
I placed an order yesterday for pickup today at 6 a.m. for a charcuterie board in the deli section. I sent my boyfriend to pick it up, and the lady at the counter (she didn’t have her name tag on, so I didn’t get her name) told him they didn’t make it because we never brought the paper back.
I was never told that I had to bring the paper back. All she told me was to pay for it at the front, and that it would be ready the next day at 6 a.m. She was being rude and kept saying that they told us to bring it back, and that we just never came back with it—when we were never told anything.
She didn’t want to help after that, saying they couldn’t give us a refund without the receipt, and didn’t want to pull the receipt using his card number and ID. She then said it would take 30 minutes to make since they were backed up, but he waited almost 50 minutes for it.
Please make sure to be specific next time and let customers know to bring the paper back. We didn’t receive any accommodation for waiting that long after I paid for it to be ready by 6 a.m.
I really like coming here my only issue was the music playing. Don't get me wrong I love music but miss the holiday music that usually plays at this time of the year
I have never had a bad experience at HEB. Spent too much money, yes. But HEB works hard to keep prices low. And I respect and appreciate that. Amber the pharmacy manager is the BEST!! Give her a raise.
Used to be a good place to shop. Not so good anymore mainly due to the rude and inconsiderate staff that are stocking the "pick-up" grocery carts. They block passage in the isles, push their carts in front of you instead if waiting for you to pass, and this afternoon one of them decided to turn around and back into me with his cart instead of simply saying "excuse me sir". Choosing bully over polite. The rest of the staff seem fine save a few checkers that appear unwelcoming which, these days, isn't much of an issue. If HEB worked a bit to change the "me first" pickup stockers they could restore themselves to pre-covid service levels. Not much more irritating than being blocked and run over in the grocery store.
HEB is my store .the other day an HEB employee told me to get out of her way ,she was on a golf cart. I wander if pedestrians at HEB have the right of way
This H-E-B is always busy, which is why their drive-up option has become my go-to hack! Inside, it's remarkably well-organized and well-staffed, even with the constant rush of shoppers. My only wish is that Elgin gets a second H-E-B like this one soon. With all the new housing, this store is getting shopped to death!
Science studies have shown that H-E-B increases the life expectancy for local Texans by up to 10 years. ? Just kidding, but they sure do major in all the important things, that increase the standard of living for the consumers. Thank you very much!
It gets very packed during holidays, but then again what grocery doesn't (during holidays).
Hopefully, now that manor is opening up their own HEB it'll be less crowded. I LOVE their app and pick up option!
I entrusted my vehicle to HEB’s carwash only to retrieve it damaged. When I called seeking a path to resolution, I was met with polite assurance that a claim would be filed. A few days later, the mask came off. The manager called not to help, but to remind me of a sign absolving them of all responsibility.
Let it be known: this is not a place of accountability, but of convenience until it no longer serves them. The damage to my vehicle was minor. The damage to their credibility? Permanent.
I now know exactly which gas station and carwash to avoid. A costly lesson, but one I won’t forget. Thank you HEB for showing me how little customer trust means to you.
During my visit to the HEB in Elgin, I encountered an unpleasant experience at the checkout line with an employee named Taylor E, who was quite rude. However, the woman who bagged my groceries was very courteous. I initiated the greeting by saying hello, but Taylor merely mumbled a response without making eye contact. When she handed me my receipt, she mumbled again. In contrast, the bagger kindly wished me a nice day.
Thank you HEB for remembering Jesus and all of your employees this Easter with a day off and a day to remember this very special holiday.

Going to HEB for me is an adventure I love all the new things I find the food the products the atmosphere you actually see real cashiers and don't forget my lamb Weston every kind of fries they make. It's a wonderful place to shop
I love this store! Most of the time, the employees who work here are very friendly, and I find everything that I need. However, I do not like being bothered by Spectrum people in front, trying to get me to sign-up with them. Especially considering how poor spectrum works around here. So, if possible, I would really like to enter & exit this HEB location in peace.
This H-E-B is one of the cleanest places with the nicest people! I stay at Colinas RV Park with my dogs since it’s pet-friendly, with plenty of dog walking areas and doggie bag stations. It’s just minutes away, making it super convenient for all my shopping needs!
I can kick myself for forgetting to write this review because I was so impressed with a member from the meat department, Michelle. This HEB is always clean even the conveyor belt for your groceries which is a pet peeve of mine however I was surprise to see the bathroom was too, so many are not so I rarely use public bathrooms.
However my direct review is about Michelle. Last week Friday, March 7th around 11:00ish I walked into the bathroom behind an older lady. As I went into the stall Michelle was coming out of the stall. She walked to the sink and I heard the water come on. She was still washing her hands when I came out and this point she is cleaning out underneath her nails, I'm finishing and the older lady walks out of the stall, Michelle is still washing her very lathered hands. It gave me such comfort to know that my meat is this well taken care of. I knew I was going to review her so after I walked out, grabbed my cart, took a few steps and thought, let me get her name. She walked out just after the older lady and grabbed her frock off of a high shelving unit that sits next to the bathroom. You guys, she didn't even where it in the bathroom where she could have hung it on the back of the stall door. That really impressed me to the highest. Now it [has] been 5 days since my visit so I really hope I have said the right name but if she reads this she knows who she is. You've got a wonderful and conscientious employee in Michelle and I for one am grateful.
Also, I am more and more becoming a fan of the HEB brand. I am a stickler for quality and HEB is impressing me a lot.
Very well organized store, clean and well stocked also. Steve in produce is awesome and helped me find everything I had trouble locating, he definitely knows his department very well and has excellent customer service.
I give this small town store so much props for doing everything they can to keep up with the magnitude of so many surrounding towns having to shop here. It is small and they are having a hard time keeping the shelves stocked in a timely manner but I do not blame them a bit. Manor needs to get on board with an HEB as well. This would help the massive congestion they deal with open to close. The employees here are always so wonderful. Whoever runs this store is EXCELLENT.
I am writing to hopefully let someone know that we have been disappointed with the quality of your carnations over the last several months. We have been purchasing them from HEB for several years on a bi weekly basis now. and have always been very happy with their longevity up until several months ago.
Now, even though the flowers look healthy, their heads quickly drop down after several days, leaving a very unappealing display that we end up having to toss in less than a week.
I'm afraid we are going to have to stop purchasing this item as it is not the quality that we are used to receiving from HEB. I have had to explain this to guests several times as well when visiting our home.
Hopefully someone on your end can figure out the issue, they used to put a smile on my wife's face every time I would bring her home a new batch.
Love our Elgin HEB. It's little but mighty. Employees are so kind. Been going there since right after it opened. Love the deli and bakery. Ordered my daughter's wedding cake there. Came out perfect
