My wife and I were looking for a new mantel for the fireplace. We got to the mill and Randy showed us around and we decided on a mesquite beam that was still rough on one side. He varnished it with clear and filled the cracks with black epoxy. Looks incredible and he offered to deliver it. Quality product and great customer service.

Went to see Randy at Barn Owl about having a table surfaced. Randy was incredible - very reasonably priced and efficient with his slabmizer. He literally saved my three days of milling in an afternoon!
I contacted Randy about flattening some slabs that I had purchased from another source. He was very accommodating with his schedule and got all 4 of the slabs flattened nicely in short order. I will be seeking out Randy for other milling as needed.
Randy was super helpful with picking up a slab. He made time to show me a couple slabs and pick out exactly what I needed. Definitely will be my first choice anytime I need any live edge slabs!

Randy is a great guy! When I bought the wood I was prepared to have to cut it to fit in my car (he did it for me) then he even helped me plain the boards to cut down on sanding time! Saved me like 8 hours of work and they look fantastic. The only (tiny thing) is the location is slightly difficult to find. There aren't any signs on the road to let you know where it is. However, the prices were great, Randy is fun to talk to and very helpful. Will definitely reach out to him again if i have another woodworking project
We recently lost a few large old-growth pine trees (McDade, TX) due to pine beetles. Once felled, Randy and team came to our place and numbered and loaded each log, and milled each into various thicknesses - he helped us understand what each could best be turned into. He turned our frowns upside down! He gave us good advice on how best to dry our lumber on our property. To save costs we picked up the milled pieces and got a tour of his neat set up. My hubby has barn envy. ;) Bonus: Randy even threw in a few smaller scrap pieces of cedar for a project I mentioned. Great person to work with! Hope we don't need anymore trees milled but if we do... we will definitely call Barn Owl.

Randy is nothing short of awesome!! I called him having an idea for some shelves, but had no clue what wood I wanted to use. He not only helped me pick the perfect wood, but was fantastic in his service and knowledge to impart! This is a guy who loves what he does! Thank you Randy! I'll definitely be back. Could not have asked for a better experience or results than what Barn Owl Sawmill had to offer. Fast and friendly as well as helpful information, but most importantly, the end product was more than I could have expected. Very beautifully cut pine at a more than fair price. I will definitely return for any future lumber milling I might need. I highly recommend checking out, you will be happy you did. THX SO MUCH BARNOWL?
