I have been in this store over 5 times in the last year. (with multiple cars) I asked for code read and same excuse everytime. "It's broken, we have ordered a new one" I am calling BS on that and you should just take down any advertising for code reading. I have been to Elgin, Dallas, Irving and all the same answer. This is one of the many reasons I have stopped using Autozone.

Came to this store to have my battery checked, I forgot and left my interior light and drained the battery. I charged the battery and took it to this store to have it checked. The parts mgr (did get his name) was super at helping me out. Great employee

Went there asked the worker if he knew Spanish he replied “No”. A customer walked in greeted him in spanish and he replied back in Spanish. His Last Name is “PAZ” I had my daughter translate for me but come on if you don’t want to do your job get one you actually love to do.

They are very helpful in finding what I was looking for. I went in to get some grease and spark plugs. Their stock is plentiful and affordable.

Everytime I have come here, I left fully satisfied! Shout out to AARON, who has helped me multiple times even changing my headlight. He is good at his job and very polite. Just what you want to see in a small town. Also, Thank you to manager Christina for helping my son try to find a solution without being rude or mean. You were very gentle with him. 2nd time visiting this store in 2 years, last time was a horrible experience as well. My customer purchased a caliper at a different store, they gave him the passenger side instead of the driver side. Customer had no idea they gave him the wrong one, he installed it and could get the fluid bled correctly cuz it was for the other side. He didn’t have the box anymore cuz he replaced it on the side of the road. Manager told me for warranty purposes I had to have the box. I explained that the other store sold him the wrong one, she instantly said that he specifically asked for the passenger side, which she had no way of knowing if that’s true or not. I’m a mechanic, have to deal with this kind of garbage quite frequently, have to work out in the heat, while these people stand in the ac giving excuses for why they can’t help. This is EXACTLY why I don’t use autozone, specifically this location. Every time I, some smart Alec behind the counter, being lazy, not caring at all about the inconvenience they cause. There’s not enough bad words for this location and the company as a whole. I spend several hundred grand a year at their competitors, this is just one of the many reasons why. I strongly suggest visiting any other parts store than this establishment. They have one job, provide the correct parts, but that’s impossible for them. I have to help my customers, diagnose, remove the parts, install the parts, all in a timely manner with top quality service. These guys can’t complete one simple task without at least one major mistake. I’m clueless as to how they’re in business, they’re like the McDonalds of automotive parts.

We had two broken studs on our vehicle causing the vehicle to vibrate while driving. We quickly pulled into this store because of proximity. my husband purchased items needed to repair rotor and broken studs, tools to fix the vehicle. He asked the customer service representative at checkout to borrow a hammer for repair, we were lended a hammer.y husband said it was a female who checked him out. A male worker came outside and lended us his personal tools from his vehicle. We already at this time had the tire, caliper and rotor off. We proceeded to work on studs. We decided to go ahead and buy more studs to replace all, which we were going to do later, as we only wanted to repair two missing ones. I went inside and a lady a couple computers down asked me if we could move our vehicle to work on it. I told her we could not that it was already without tire, caliper and break. She proceeded to tell me that we were imposing on customers entering the building. Told me that in the figure repairs were to be done at the side of the building, she was very demanding and irritated. I told her that I would tell my husband. We were one of 3 vehicles there, many customers were in and out without inconvenience. My husband had to go back in for a larger jack. The woman who told us that we needed to move our vehicle didn't look at my husband and he felt that she was consciously avoiding looking or talking to him. Once we finished our repairs my husband went inside and returned the tools lended to us. He stated have a nice day, the manager rolled her eyes at my husband. I went back inside to ask for cooperates phone number and the lady told me, it's outside on the door. I asked for her name, she told me. I then asked if she was the store manager, she said she was. When I was leaving she said have a nice day. I turned around and stated that, that is what my husband said and she rolled her eyes. She started to get a bit loud and argue as I was walking out of the store but I walked off. The manager during my shopping asked an employee if they got her a large or small coke and stated that she would cut him down to one day next week if he got the wrong size. I assume she was joking but I found it tacky.

Edman Mendoza was a great help. He changed my battery with no problems A-line would not install their own battery. Edman was polite. Let me talk to him as a friendly gesture. I recommend him if your like me. 65 and could no longer can do mechanic work. Thank you Mr Mendoza

I phoned the local AutoZone and talked to a nice employee who took the time to help me find the correct oil and filter for my older model Chevy. He then told me how to order the oil in the AutoZone app for in-store pickup the next day. The order was correct and ready to go when I arrived. I appreciated the extra time he took with me to ensure that I ordered the correct product.

Worst customer service. Uses Uber and left for deliveries but doesn't take info for who or from where is picking up. Says delivered but wasn't. Lack of intelligence from these people with some STUPID lady in the background acting like she knows anything saying it could have been fedex... for a delivery a mile away for same day deliveries? Manager there gives no care and has no idea or insight who got it nor info on the pickup.....

Call over here and O'reilly's in elgi. Texas would not try to even help me With anything, all I asked was him to help me plug in a fuse and he said no. He has a lot of customers. He had one when I was there. I will never come back to orailys again and I will continue To go to autozone and I will definitely pass this on to all of my friends.

Customer service here is a joke. Employees are reluctant to do their job, and when they are expected to do their job, they give you attitude. A job is a job, do what you are paid to do, and leave the attitude at home. I remember why I stopped shopping here 2 years ago. Same issue. AutoZone, I will be taking my business elsewhere from now, and I'll make sure my family and friends do the same.

Rude, lazy, whiny staff. I came in to buy some parts and return an online purchase of a defective part. The young guy behind the counter had nothing but excuses and complaints. He said that I should have called before I came to return the part - hard to do at midnight when I'm working on a vehicle, and hard to do when they don't answer calls. He complained that they typically don't accept returns, and that he would allow it "just this once". As if he was doing me a favor! No apologies or concern that I received a defective part, a motor mount with a bent ear and bolt holes too small to accept the correct hardware! But that's the customer's fault right? Instead he complained that he doesn't do returns and told me to wait for someone else - I waited for 10-15 minutes while I was completely ignored by staff until I walked out. I then drove to the Manor store, where the staff was happy to help and accepted the return without issue. I will never give my business to Autozone again, what a joke.

Went in to warranty a couple batteries on a commercial account. A nice lady charged the batteries two days prior, they came back faulty when I went in today to pick them up. I was sent to a guy in a black coat at the end counter to help me. He took the PIN number, looked it up, 1 minute later he said I’d have to go back to the original store to get them replaced. I told him that I do this all the time and the info is in his computer, but he was too lazy sitting on his stool to look. So, I went to the manor store and the commercial manager helped me with no issue whatsoever. It took him 3 minutes to find the warranty. I WILL NEVER VISIT THE ELGIN STORE AGAIN!!! Extremely lazy, no customer skills whatsoever. If you’re black, his attitude was great. If youre white, his demeanour changes altogether and he decides not to put any effort in whatsoever.

I had a friend buy a coil pack from here and it was defective.and he tried to return it. To hear they not only were rude, unfriendly,and would not give him a refund is very disturbing. I guess at this all sales are final. .it should state that on all their receipts. It's to bad that this is even open, I wonder how many other people have had kind of experience ,stay away from this store.i was told that customer service was gonna reachout its been 5 days and still no response yet

Bought a engine went to bring the core back and they dont have the cash for it. When I asked if they could take the core now and call me when they have the cash they told me they didn't have room and If something happened they weren't responsible. Pretty poor experience trying to get my 600 $ core charge back

If I could give this store 0 star I would. First I had an issue with my blower motor, it was supposed to be ordered from the hub so I could get it next day but Instead he put it under VDP, today I went to get a full brake set for my truck and one side went on fine but when we got to the other side we realized we got two of the same side. We called the store and told them about the situation but they told us that we had to take everything off and bring it back so they could replace on brake pad. When we went in they refused to replace the pad and told us that it was our fault for no checking it and they wouldn’t refund us the money nor switch anything out and told us that we needed to leave the store and if we showed up he would call the cops. All we wanted was to switch out the wrong pad for the right one to complete the job. William the store manager decided he than wanted to replace the pad but instead of handing it to us he throw the pad and told us to never come back. The other manager csr#02 told my husband that he would buy the pads just to get us out the store. We have money for our own stuff we don’t need no one paying for it all we wanted was the right pad. I do not recommend coming to this location, the staff and management is completely rude and they talk to you like your stupid. Even after showing the problem personally they still told us we were in the wrong. I came to return the parts and re asked for the managers name just to find out he lied to me about his name, he told me his name was William just to find his name tag say his name was Jesse. DO NOT COME HERE !

I was helped by Cass. She was very helpful and got me what I needed. She was extremely nice and easy to talk to. Very personable. I don't think I will ever shop anywhere else for my auto parts. It is amazing how one nice and helpful person can make such a big difference. Thank you, I will recommend this AutoZone to everyone I know.

Very helpful! I used the little book to find the lightbulb I needed and my dad grabbed some protective grease for electrical connections, but the cashier switched it for stuff actually meant for lightbulbs and verified that I had the right bulb for me. He also told us we did not need a new relay most likely, because the fast blinking was probably from the out bulb. Overall I appreciated the extra effort he took to help us.

The service was awesome, very friendly people! I tried to buy some synthetic oil & filter separately and at that desk he showed me all the awesome and much cheaper deals they had before I bought it, I got an oil filter and synthetic oil for about $10 less due to the deal! Always reliable and I've been going here for years!

I had the most polite and knowledgeable gentleman help me today! Went in thinking I’d get a whole laundry list of things wrong with my vehicle, well I was totally wrong! Mr. Ryan Schafer quickly informed me all it was was a battery issue! I was so grateful and impressed because it was it under warranty...so I paid nothing!! He was very professional and patient with me as for I could not remember the phone number the warranty was under. Overall the best experience ever! Thank you!!

Excellent advice and fast service. The item I was looking for had an entire aisle of choices, and they were able to help me pick the best ones. So glad I stopped here!
