I called, and the customer service over the phone was great. I walked in twenty minutes later, and the service was even greater! Imagine that!

Walked in to the Elgin location. There was one customer besides myself. When he was done it was only me in the store. 4-5 employees and the counter person. I asked for someone to test my battery, counter person said I can’t leave the counter. Okay? What about these other folks stocking? Nope can’t help a customer either. That air freshener MUST be put up right now! No problem with the counter person at all. It’s the others that have a green shirt on that wouldn’t help. Carl, retail is about taking money and helping customers, not stocking shelves. Went down the street to auto zone. 10 mins. Tested, bought $275.00 battery, installed it and on my way. O’Reillys didn’t need that sale, or any others of mine in the future. Take care.

Worst o' Reillys waited 3 hrs for a part that she said didn't come . And was laughing about it. Unbelievable sucky service.

Always helpful. They'll go above and beyond, even when they're busy, just ask.

This review is for the young man Yonathan. I came in with my caliper and brakes that I purchased there because my bads weren’t sitting correctly. He checked to make sure the pistons were compressed. He did lots of verifications to make sure we purchased the correct part, etc. Although he wasnmt able to solve the issue, he gave us a recommendation. I appreciated him taking his time with me as a customer. He made me feel that I was appreciated as someone who patronizes his store. I cannot tell you how much that influences my continued patronage. Thank you, Yanathan. Signed, a very pleased customer!

These guys never answer the phone. You have to actually go in and hope no one is there already, they wont even acknowledge you until you get fed up and start to leave.

Phy took her time and helped me to the mix on finding what I needed. It’s just the part didn’t come how I needed it but she helped out alot. I give her 5 stars. If it was away to give her 10 stars. She got my 10 stars. Keep up the good work Phy. ????

I went in to have my battery and alternator checked, but I wasn’t impressed with the service. The younger employee at the counter tested my alternator and told me it was fine, but said my three-year-old battery was bad. I assumed he knew what he was doing, so I bought a $270 battery. However, the next day, my truck was still losing battery. I went to AutoZone to have it checked, and their test showed that my alternator was actually the problem. Now I’ve spent almost $300, including taxes, on a battery I probably didn’t need. The owner or manager really needs to ensure proper training for their staff. If you’re not sure about something, it’s better to admit it than give incorrect advice.

The younger guy helped my mom and got her the wrong part and was pretty rude to her when she tried to use her ex-husbands discount. Just because he couldnt find it he didnt apply it, when she asked he said she didn't get a discount. She had to tell him again the information and what do you k know it was there. The older man was very helpful when we had to return and get the correct part.

Great service, I called and they checked the inventory for me with no problem and even held the parts for an hour so I could pick them up.

Hit or miss. Mostly miss like today. Ordered Part on line yesterday to be in Elgin this morn. at 10AM. Paid 12 bucks more than other places for the convenience of getting it next morning. No call so drove 9 miles to pick it up just to find it wasn't there. Was given multiple excuses. 1st. Part missed the truck. 2nd something about SanMarcos truck not crossing paths with each other ???. 3rd. Said part was in San Antonio, there was a wreck or something like that and part wasn't going to be there until tomorrow and by then I was already walking out the door. I tried calling before I left the house and let the phone ring for longer than usual because I know it can get busy. Figured I'd take a chance going into town. Truck still broke down and I get to try it again tomorrow. They will be my last resort for parts....once again.

The staff is a bit hit or miss, it's not that they're unkind people, but they really don't seem to want to be working there. They're fine retail help but it's not like they or car parts experts that can guide you through more than their computer knows, and none of them are going to go out of their way to be efficient or useful than a self checkout kiosk. If you need actual auto parts to repair your vehicle, and not random car waxes and other automotive accoutrements, I would always call A-Line Auto Parts first. They are just down the street next to Churches Chicken, and they not only have better pricing on many auto parts, but A-Line just offers higher quality parts with staff knowledgeable enough to not sell you the wrong part. I trust their remanufactured alternators, starters, and other parts way more than the junk at O'Reilly's and AutoZone. Nothing worse than doing a job, only to have to do it again in a few months because you purchased "fake" rebuilt parts. A lifetime warranty at O'Reilly's doesn't mean much because you shouldn't need to replace the part for so long in the first place, that getting a free replacement is little consolation for the cost of your time or the inconvenience of being stranded somewhere.

Been having some trouble with a variable speed pulley off of my mower this week, young man named Cody went out of his way not once, but TWICE, and while he was walking out the door the second time also! Thank you for your great customer service, you guys make sure to take care of this fellah, he's secured you a lifetime customer for your store, and I've got a LOT of vehicles to wrench on! :-)

When I was leaving work this morning (0400), my battery was dead. I called to several auto repair shops, all of which had a wait of over a week. Who can wait that long when you work? I called the O'Reilly's and they had a new battery installed in under 20 minutes. The guys were super helpful and efficient. I've shopped here for many years and they are consistent in their excellent customer service.

I would give 0 stars if possible. After somewhat recovering after the winter storm we were not able to get our cars running and took in our battery to get tested, it would not give an accurate reading on the tester and decided to leave in store to charge. No info or help on looking up our warranty. I picked up my battery and contacted another O'Reilly s that showed they were glad to help ended up buying a new battery. Not returning to this store. I don't like to complain but atleast show some compassion or try to help your customers.

My girlfriend wanted to pick up a part for her truck. Theses guys where slow. It took him way to long to exchange the part three time's and NO we did not end up with the correct part's. We ended up taking care of the truck but not at the expense of the local parts counter. : - )

I've lived in Elgin for 25 years and O'Reilly's has always been my go to place for auto parts; over the years I've spent a lot of money at O'Reilly's. Recently AutoZone gave me good reason to make a change and make AutoZone my #1. My car battery was dragging and I knew replacing the battery needed to happen NOW. I called O'Reilly's and asked if I purchase a battery from them if they will help me with the install. I was told No. I called AutoZone and asked the same question and was told Yes. The battery cost $200, thank goodness AutoZone does more than the minimum (like O'Reilly's does) and helps their customers save some money where they can. I recommend AutoZone to everyone!!! I've never had a part need they didn't have in stock. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Pricing is good especially if you utilize their club card and discounts published online. Order online and pickup in store is a big bonus.
