First visit to Mooney's and I think this will be my go-to for repairs. Honest, fair, and good communication. It hard to find places you can trust. Dealers are, in my opinion are over priced and biased to bleed every last dollar they can get.
Honestly done me wrong. I had real mechanic look at your work and said bottom end looked like it got done but the were pitted and valve ports were blown out. But thanks !!! For taking 6 months and let my car just sit outside.
I brought my car in after an auto parts business tested my battery and alternator and told me my alternator was failing. I made an appointment for Friday morning and I got a call from the owner later in the afternoon and he stated he tested the alternator 5 different times and he could not find anything wrong with it, he did say that my battery was a "little weak". I asked him how much I owed him for testing it and he said NOTHING!! Amazing! I have now found a great garage here in Hendersonville who i will give all my business to! Thank you again!
Jeff and his team at Mooney’s were fantastic. I am new in town and was looking for a new mechanic. I brought my ‘05 Mustang GT there for a full suspension upgrade and oil change. This is my weekend cruiser and has a lot of sentimental value for me as I’m the original owner and put every mile on the odometer. From speaking with Jeff I found out he has a much much cooler Mustang than I do so I felt confident having them do the work. They completed everything a day earlier than anticipated and Jeff called me to let me know they would keep my car in the shop overnight as a big storm was rolling in and they were calling for hail. Was able to pick my mustang up the next day and it’s driving better than when I first bought it from the showroom floor. Will be back for all repairs, upgrades, and maintenance!
I am very much pleased with the time frame of them getting my car in and out and very pleased with the way my car sounded after getting it back so much better then it sounded going in like thousands times better I have nothing at all to complain about first time I've used them and I will use them again if the time arrives that I need something else done

I have to give them their flowers. I had something simple done that most shops was trying to charge a hundred to do, they did it for $20. I will use them for now on if there's any issues with my car.
Jeff and his crew definitely took care of me and my service vehicle. My 2015 T 250 that Sherwood Locksmithing uses on a daily basis needed front brakes and I am very happy with the time it took Jeff and his team to get me back out on the road. His pricing was very reasonable as well. Would highly recommend them.
Mooney’s has worked on 2 of my trucks, one a 2015 and the other a 1978. Both experiences were fantastic. Got an appt in a reasonable time, work was done quickly and for a very fair price.
During recent vacation while driving from IN to FL I experienced mechanical issues. Had my car towed to nearby Chrysler dealership only to be told to hit the road without an appointment and soonest they'd even look at my car would be 2 weeks. I got online and decided to give Mooney's a try. So being 2 miles down the road I drove the car down there, explained my situation and within an hour they had me fixed up and back on the road.
Very honest!! We take all of our cars to him, everything from a 68 Oldsmobile to a manual Hyundai Genesis and a couple others in between. We’ve tried many others in Hendersonville and he is the best.
Mooneys is true to their word, no matter what! It was looking like my car wasn’t going to be finished when they originally quoted due to typical issues that happen from time to time. I expressed my concern and need for my vehicle and they made it happen, on Friday at 3pm at that! This shop was my go-to before and will continue to be in the future. Best customer/automotive service around. Recently our family mechanics for years shut their doors and we were suddenly left without that safety net of trustworthiness that we were accustomed to. Upon calling Mooneys I suddenly felt that warm hometown family business feel and booked my appointment. Our service was same day and we were kept informed and updated as the day went a long. Top notch people and top notch service. We found our new home at Mooneys, thanks for putting our minds at ease and providing great service.
What can I say. Super friendly and concerned with my situation. I'm here from out of town. My truck started missing badly Friday night. Saturday, it began running smoothly again but the Check Engine light stayed on. I called Mooney's Monday morning telling them what happened and that I was driving back home on Thursday (450 miles). They were very busy stating they were booked at least through the week but would work me in due to my situation. I am so very much appreciative and relieved. Y'all locals should use these guys.
Friendly from the first time the phone was answered, brought my truck in and was repaired in a very timely manner, straight forward and no hidden agendas trying to milk money! An honest mechanic and staff! I was out of town and they were very accommodating for me to pick up my truck after hours! They offer veteran and first responder discount as well which was refreshing to see! 100% will use this business!
Went to Valvoline for an a.c. flush, something went terribly wrong when I turned on the air for them to inspect it. They immediately suggested Mooney's. I called and the service writer set me up for an inspection. Got that done. Was told to come back after parts were ordered. Awesome...got to the repair appt. Did not have a ride back home so I had planned my 9 hour service time to be there with my 8yo boy. Took my schoolwork, and his games. Chilled. After 2.5 hours, they told me I could go ahead and take their shop truck home. Freaking AWESOME! Much gratitude and a couple hours later.... I get another call. One part had not arrived and when it did it would be too late in the day to install it. BUT, I was told that I could keep the truck over night so that I wouldn't be stranded. OH MY GOODNESS! Crazy thankful for this. MOONEY'S is hands down the best shop I have found. They promised a fixed system and went beyond duty to help a customer.

This was the first time I had work done at Mooneys and Amanda was friendly from the moment I spoke with her. They were delayed they day I dropped my car to have timing belt and water pump done. They were in communication with me and let me know exactly what was going on and when they would start. I needed my car the day of repair and he worked really late to insure it would be done that day even with the auto parts place sending the wrong part. I couldn’t recommended a business anymore than theirs. Kind, professional and efficient
Mooney’s automotive have the best people and do an amazing job. I took my truck in for some work and after calling them and letting them know that it was my only mode of transportation, they finished up with my truck, letting me know it was safe to drive and to bring it back the next day for a few more tests. I first want to say that I NEVER write any type of reviews, good or bad. However, if this rating will help someone pick an auto shop that is actually trustworthy, then it’s worth my time. Last week I brought my vehicle in because it would squeak every time I would turn the wheel. They said that my vehicle needed a new bail joint and that the old one was in terrible shape and it needed to be replaced. $200 later they replaced the ball joint and the problem was fixed and I was happy that I didn’t have to spend a fortune. Over the weekend I noticed that my steering wheel was leaning toward the left and that I needed an alignment. I called them to see if that was normal to get an alignment after a ball joint replacement and if I could bring it in for an alignment. They informed me that they do not do alignments but they work with another shop that does and they could bring it over to them for me or I could go directly. To take out the middle man I decided to take it to another auto shop. The new auto shop did their inspection but informed me that they could not loosen the nuts on the tire rods because it was so rusted and corroded. They informed me that I could get some replacements done but they said that I would be better off trading it in because the base of the car is very rusted and it would be pointless to put more money into it if eventually the entire support will just give out. I did not give a dime to this new auto shop so they did not gain a single thing by telling me the hard truth about my vehicle. I always try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt and try to come up with reasons on why they did what they did. However, I can only come up with two reasons on why Mooney’s failed to inform me of the hard truth. 1. They had a new hire and they are still learning the ropes around an auto shop and they don’t know the significance of a rusted out base that will eventually give out. 2. They saw all of the damage but instead of informing me, they decided to take my $200 and run. Either way, if you select Mooney’s you will have inexperienced or negligent mechanics.
Had my vehicle taken in for a code and check engine light. They repaired and also recommended a tune up due to mileage and where the repair was located. Due to the location, they recommended I do the tune up so I wasn't charged labor in 30K miles. Very friendly and I didn't feel overcharged at all. Will definitely take my vehicle back when needed.
I use this shop for all my vehicle repairs. They have saved me a lot of money. I was told by another shop that my brakes needed replacing . My next door neighbor told me to go to Mooneys because he was told the same thing by another shop and Mooney's told him his truck didn't need brake repair. These people are honest and will tell you the truth about your vehicle needs. I wish some of the people that are writing reviews were as honest as Mooney's. They have my business. I will not deal with a dishonest business and there seems to be a lot of them in Gallatin. Mooney's is the exception to the rule.

They quoted me over $500 for getting new tie rods for my car after I just paid nearly $600 to get my car fixed. They said that it wasn't something I had to IMMEDIATELY fix but I was going to have to get it fixed soon. Ok, got it. 👍🏼
2 weeks later I was telling my husbands Grandfather what was going on with our car. He brought our car to a shop that he has been going to for YEARS to make sure we weren't going to buy the wrong parts and to make sure that it truly was the tie rods that needed to be fixed. Turns out the tie rods were PERFECT. Nothing wrong whatsoever. The struts are what needed to be fixed.
So, needless to say, I would've gone back to Mooney's to get my car fixed. Dropped another $500+ down for my car to get worked on for something that didn't even need fixing.
I'm glad we got another opinion because I'm sure they would've quoted me another $500 to get my struts fixed after getting the tie rods done.

They go above and beyond to give their customers a fair and honest price. They have inspected my car and give me a quote for the work needed. Then after I left, they called me to have the car inspected again to make sure I am satisfied with the service. Overall, they earn the five-star rate for high-quality service. I will definitely return for future car service.
I am so amazed by the outstanding service and professionalism from Mooney's! Jeff, the owner helped me as I was stranded and had my car towed to Mooney's. Jeff was so honest and told me that the car is running fine. He tested for over an hour and checked the entire car. I just moved into town and will be using Mooney's as our family's go to auto shop! I ended up getting a new air filter and oil change... And highly recommend Jeff and Mooney's.
I took my BMW to a big shop in Nashville a year ago and they told me it would be at least $8000 to get my car running again. So I parked it in my barn for a year. Last week I took it to Jeff and he fixed it for $200. I’m so happy to get my car back! I highly recommend this shop because he is honest and does great work!
