With local garbage if they miss or you forgot to set it out,they would swing back around and pick. Green Village if they miss or you forgot to set it out by one hour they will NOT swing back around and by the time they call you they are closed at 12pm then it is two week before they would pick up again. They are constantly working on their vehicles breaking down and never have enough workers. Cancel my service and just went with the garbage. Cheap price for cheap work
Love this service. Hard to find recycling options where we live (outside Hendersonville city limits). It's nice you don't have to sort anything and put it all in one container. They are very good about picking up on time and communicating schedule.
Green village recycling is the best! Super friendly folks and so easy to work with. I missed pickup this week because I was sick and forgot amidst the brain fog of fever. I emailed them to ask for help if possible and they sent a driver out to pick up our can and empty it the very same day - thanks Melanie and the driver who made an extra trip for us! Not to mention that their services are also very affordable and I feel better about life knowing most of our waste is being recycled instead of going into the landfill. Thanks again yall!
Overall, a good, much-needed service in an area that (unfortunately) does not invest in sustainability or green options. Great communication. I docked one star because they do not recycle glass.
Today was supposed to be a makeup day for missing my pickup 2 weeks ago. No one came to pick my recycling up. It's overflowing. Rain tomorrow so can't put items at the curb. Not first time this has happened
They missed a pickup for me and the entire neighborhood. I have placed calls and left message over the past couple of days and I'm yet to receive a phone call back. I'm considering canceling my service and just put all recycling in the trash. I also don't like the fact that they can't recycle glass.
My ex-husband cancelled service almost a year ago and they still haven’t picked up the can. An attempt was made initially but it wouldn’t fit on the truck so they left it. I’ve left 5 messages and my ex left several too.
We're very happy to have affordable recycling available to us in Hendersonville. Excellent service in communication. The bin is large and the option of having cardboard boxes picked up next to the bin helps a ton with saving space. I hope to get some of my neighbors signed up in 2023.
Great weekly pick-up - never had any issues. Responsive customer service. Doing the city pilot program now, but if that does not work out, will go back to Green Village in a heart beat. Actually miss the weekly service as the city is only doing twice a month.

I cancelled due to failure to pick up during Covid. We had 30+ boxes stacked up at our place, then we get an email that even though the company was considered essential, the company decided not to pick up recycling during Covid. The company communicates via email so I emailed a cancellation request. I got an email back that said please give us your address. I would have thought the company had my address connected to my email. By the time I read that email, it was time for another pick up, I was skipped so someone must have figured it out. I also noticed the company takes weeks off for maintenance. One no service maintenance time which was right before Covid hit so I had several weeks with no service. Then to be informed there would be no pick up during Covid sent me over the edge. I feel the company wants they money for as few of pick ups as they can get by with. I would rather do it myself rather than hope Green Village is going to be there for the consumer.
Andrew, Karl and co. from Green Village Recycling have been doing our garbage pick up for almost a year now and go above and beyond anybody we have ever had. They are not only kind people but they work their tails off!
Recycling is a very high priority for me and I’m glad green village takes it seriously. Their best asset is an employee named Melanie. Melanie always gives really good customer service although I’ve had good customer service experiences with other employees also!
Warning you will be overpaying for a service you will rarely, if ever, receive! I have been trying to give them "second chances", yes plural, for the total of almost a year however they continue to disappoint. You are prepaying for services and then have to fight with them to come pick up. And good luck getting anyone on the phone. I have left multiple messages asking for service and/or a return phone call - not even the courtesy to return my call. But they are happy to email me another invoice! I'll be taking my recycling to another provider.
Only had service a month 1st pickup they didnt pickup had to call them then they came out after 5 the next day now they were suppose to pickup yesterday and again no pickup and no answer on phone or email ridiculous very dissatisfied
