Simply an AMAZING experience with a service call. They arrived earlier than projected and changed two tires on my semi in record time!!! Not to mention the price was surprisingly lower that I expected to pay. DEFINITELY the ONLY service I'll use in this area. Thank you so very much!!!

I had a flat tire and this was the closest truck shop on my route. I called ahead, they said no wait, come in. I arrived — turns out I had to wait an hour before they even brought me in. Then it took them two full hours just to patch the tire. And the final bill? Over $180 — that’s at least three times more than what Pilot charges for the same job. Absolute rip-off. If you’re in a hurry or care about your wallet, look elsewhere.

The most amazing people I've ever met. They will do anything to help. Anything! So passionate about what they do. I'm an RV owner, they towed my RV and my car off 77 and I have tiers flowing as right this. They showed up with 3 tow trucks. New exactly what to do with the drive shaft. I was off 77 in 30 minutes. The last tow company took an hour and half to drop the drive shaft and hook me up.
Tony knocks on my door every day to check on me. Just amazing. The owner, Roby, is more passionate than anyone. It's not about the money. They just care about people. I've been on their property for weeks now trying to find an RV park to move to. I got my bill and cried. I was expecting way more, thousands more. Highly recommend.

Was in the area and needed service on specialized equipment. They were able to get me in right away and get me back on the road. Mechanics are good at what they do, and are very conscientious. Everyone that I encountered there was friendly and helpful, from management and office, shop personnel, and the guys working in the yard who helped with parking the rig.

Broke down in Rock Hill Sc on Monday February 19th. Called Jason over at Rock City towing to pull me to the peterbilt dealer in Charlotte. When he arrived he was super professional & friendly. He also went out of the way & went amazing above & beyond the call of duty by helping me get freight delivered to a new customer. He was honest & upfront from the initial conversation & let me know exactly what the charge for the tow would be upfront. In a world where it seems like everyone is out to make a quick buck & do the bare minimum this is not that place. If I’m ever in a pinch around the Rock Hill area again without doubt they will be the ones I call. Thank you again for exceptional service & professionalism.
Showed up on a timely manner. Knew what they were doing Dropped the driveshaft on my motorhome, so it wouldn’t mess up the transmission not very many do that very professional crew.
Poor Service for tires and repairs, Brandi the manager has no customer service skills other to screw people over. Should have know better, Our Company will not use this vender again. If you can call others in the area do so steer clear of ROck HIll

I'm a black man from Brooklyn New York with a small Dump truck Business in the Carolinas. I bought my first truck from another black man that clamed he would help me. Not even a Month into me owning the truck the Transmission went out, I was stuck on the interstate with no Mechanic contacts, no knowledge of mechanic work, and not being able to reach to person that sold me the truck. My Insurance company was no help with getting me a Tow truck either, it was not covered on my policy. I contacted two wrecker service companies that said they could not get to me because they had no drivers available, it was 2am. Finally I was able to get in contact with Rock City, they were able to send a truck out to get me. Jason and Kenny were the drivers that came to get me, they were very professional and knowledgeable they kept my mind at ease because I was just started my business venture and poured all my funds into buying my truck. (I had no idea how I would recover from this disaster). I was shocked to learn that Rock City has a Mechanic shop on-site. They got my truck fixed in eight days, most of which was taken up by the company that had to rebuild the transmission.
Here is Why I know God puts good people in your life in times of need. The Owner of Rock City, Mr. Robbie Duncan heard my cries for help. He allowed me to take care of the Tow Bill and put me on a strict payment plan. This Company allowed me to have faith in Mankind, (no matter what the Race). THANK YOU ROCK CITY TOWING AND MECHANIC SERVICE FOR THE BLESSING YOU GAVE ME IN MY TIME OF NEED.
Do NOT TAKE YOUR TRUCKS HERE! Rock City takes advantage of minorities! They’re so use to getting over on people that they have no empathy for small businesses. I almost lost my family business after putting my trust in them! Parts were removed from my truck and I was double charged for services. They use third parties to do the work and charge the consumer double to pay both people. Jason the general manager has no respect for women and called me ignorant and said I purchased a piece of junk!! Thanks to his discriminatory remarks, my small business is now on the road to being a large business! I have no one to Thank for this BUT GOD!!! The lawsuit is won and if you’re reading this I pray they treat you better than they did me!
Can't praise these people enough. From the receptionist who took my initial call to Travis showing up to tow my 11 axle unladen 90k# @ 119 ft long rig with a blown transmission on an 8 % uphill.
Not once did Travis complain. Got right to it hooked the row truck up , disconnected the drive shaft and away we went. All 155ft of it thru the woods back to Rock Hill SC .
Price was more than fair. Shop replaced transmission , clutch and had me going v in less than a week.

40% mark up on parts! Allowed this shop to work on several of my trucks. Same thing kept happening. They claim issue is fixed we pick up the truck and within a day or two truck breaks down again with same issue. They never fix truck properly the first time. Clearly the shop is poorly managed and the mechanics are not trained or lack actual experience on modern equipment. To make matters even worse as I looked over the invoices I started noticing that their parts charges were way off from retail price. Taking into account that every shop gets at least a 10% discount on parts from the supplier. They still managed to charge is 30- 45% ABOVE the retail price of the parts. I was quoted $435 for an air dryer from Kenworth which is less than ten miles away from their shop. However Rock City charged me $965. When I asked how they came up with that price they said they charge based on how important the part is! What makes matters even worse. They over charge you for parts then add weird hours to the labor. 8 hours to change an air dryer on a 2018 Kenworth? Yea right. Air dryer can be changed in less than two hours on the side of the highway! Imagine getting a $3500 bill for replacing a air dryer in a shop! They call saying truck is ready. We pick up the truck and drive twelve miles only for the air dryer to stop working and truck cannot build any air again! Bring the truck back and now they claim it's the air compressor! Called kenworth and air compressor is $1550. However Rock City charged us $1873? Again when questioned about how they came up with the parts price? Lady says it just depends? ON WHAT??? They are getting the parts from Kenworth... my office is literally ONE mile from Kenworth! I could deliver the parts myself! This place is a joke. I will never bring anything I own here again.
These guys are top notch...definitely worth the cost (which is super reasonable, by the way). We had a work truck break down on the side of the interstate...waited for 4.5 hrs for another towing company to help. When it became clear that those guys were not going to show up, I called Rock City. They not only showed up within 15 minutes of my phone call, they took the time to help tow the vehicle (when the tire issue couldn't be resolved on the side of the road) and they even dropped my employee off at his hotel for the night. The dispatcher kept in touch to give me updates on the progress until it was done. Keep in mind, this was all after 8 at night when they did all of this. Seriously, keep these guys in your speed dial because they are one of a kind.
Family and I were passing through on our travels and got a flat tire on 77. Within half an hour of calling Rock City Towing, Steven- our tow driver- was at our car and loading us up! He did a fantastic job and was very accommodating to our family of 5. We will recommend Rock City Towing to anyone in the area that may need their services.
Drivers were very helpful, Owner very professional & polite to deal with. All was fine until we ran into a very lazy garage mechanic & office help.
We were quoted a price by owner that the office help didn’t honor & a mechanic that had every excuse known to man until I offered to retrieve the part my self.
Then got charged for 2hours and 45 minutes of work. In reality it took 20 minutes to do the work..
If you need a tow they are great. You need work done be prepared!!
Had my truck worked on fuel pump. They performed a good job. However, the manager/owner told me they would give me credit. For some new parts returned to the dealership but they have not done it .three weeks passed by and yet no credit back to my account. They also overcharged for service call. $289 and not work at all was performed at site. This credit should have applied to my entire bill since the truck was towed to their shop and the entire work was performed there.
I had my truck-tractor towed to Rock City in Rock Hill, SC to be diagnosed and repaired in late August 2018. There was no proactive updates with my truck. I began contacting Rock City in Septemeber 2018 after at least 3 weeks. They did not have any information for me, as they had not yet even looked at the truck. In October (2 months after having my truck in Rock City's care), I made a trip to Rock City to see for myself what was going on with the truck. When I got there, no one seemed to know anything, including whether or not my truck was even there! I inspected their lot and found my truck; upon inspection, my dashboard was in disarray and my fuses were taken out. In addition, 1 of my 3 brand new batteries was missing! I asked that the owner reach out to me about my property damage and the lack of service. This back and forth ordeal of me calling for him, without a return call from him, went on for another couple of months. Meanwhile, I was losing several months of income from the truck being down. When I was finally able to speak with the owner, he seemed not to be informed or concerned about my issue with his company nor the misconduct of his service team. After mentioning that I was going to get my attorney involved, he admitted that they did not know what was wrong with my truck and offered to have it towed to an affiliate truck dealership. This took another 2 weeks (no urgency on Rock City's behalf)! I do not recommend that anyone use this company, as it appears that they are only capable of towing. No owner needs to be concerned that their equipment is being stolen or damaged when requesting a simple diagnosis, not to mention the excessive lost time, which equates to lost income.
Robby, Brandi and the entire staff at Rock City are the best! We had our truck at another company for towing and repairs for almost 3 weeks and they could not fix the truck but charged us $2500 to get our truck back. We found RC towing on google and called. They went above and beyond to try and get us back on the road. Thank you Rock City Towing. If you need honest, hardworking people to work on your truck, this is the place to go. This is my first review ever so you know they are worth it!
