Told my cuz they would fix his car for 200 bucks, he walks in and comes back out tells me to walk in there and talk to the guy, he was on the phone my cousin said he said it would be cheaper if we done it myself. I said of course so! They told him it was one thing, said something totally different, after he got off the phone,
Buyer beware! Drove 2 hours to this place for an engine. When I seen the engine I was hesitant to buy because of the condition it was in. We finally agreed that if I buy it? I want a warranty in case it’s bad. Based on first impressions of this place, deep down I knew this place would not honor any warranty. The guy at the front desk promised and assured the engine was good. After spending the time and labor to put in the engine to only find out the bottom end is destroyed. Called to speak with the salesman only to get a rude response. People please use your common sense with this place avoid it at all costs.
This place is a waste of time said the had the car I was looking for and when I get there it's a totally different car waste of time and gas coming from Asheville
This place is awesome. They had a very hard to find rear axle in stock for a 30 year old van and installed it at a fraction of a rebuilt. Friendly and straight forward communications.
I went with a friend to get a starter for her car. The gentlemen that were there were very helpful. She must have called ahead because the part was already pulled.
While I was in there, I noticed an old buggy, so I asked about it. The guy said it was a doctor's horse-drawn buggy. The wheels were wooden!
If you need a used part, check out M & W Auto Parts.
M&w has installed motors, and has done various repair jobs for us the work was quality work and we were very satisfied with the results
If there was something that didn't work exactly as it should they immediately had us to bring the vehicle back to correct the issue. it was done in a timely matter and there was no backlash and we will continue to do business with them they are good company .we also have purchased used parts from M&W👍
They put a 2009 jeep engine into my 2008 jeep four years ago. Still runs like a top. They gave me a very fair price for it and installation. Recently, I needed front differential bushings and a new drive shaft. They did the work for me again at a fair price. Jerry Martin, the manager was very good to work with and I appreciate the excellent service and work. Thanks.
Great folks to work with. Unfortunately they didn't have the exact part I needed (extremely hard to find) but they did everything they could to get it for me. Highly recommended!
I called and spoke to a guy there 5 different times about coming out and picking up my car for salvage, and months later I still haven't seen or heard from them. Each time he had asked for my cell phone number, in other words he didn't write it down or was incompetent enough to lose it each time.
Check this out, myself and my two sons took off work today to pick up an engine at M&W losing close to $700.00 in wages. Got there to get the engine, and all of a sudden the engine we were suppose to get wasn't there. They tried selling me an engine they knew nothing about for the same money. Been pulled out of vehicle for 565 days. So trying to sell an engine that's been sitting for a year and a half with unknown miles at the same price they wanted to sell me an engine that apparently had 54000 miles. Was suppose to drop in truck and plug and play but this engine would have taken about 1000 dollars in seals and components to make work for my set up. Watch who you deal with and what you buy.
Called and talked to Bob about an engine for an 07 Silverado. Was told that he had one out of an 07 Silverado that was wrecked in the side. Was told that the engine had 54,000 miles. Loaded the trailer and went and looked at the engine. Come to find out the engine came out of a wrecked Saab SUV. Engine had a tag from where it had been remanufactured. When talking to Jerry, he said that that's what he had and could not prove that the engine had 54,000 miles. In my opinion, you might wanna stay away from these guys. They even took the time to acid bath the engine once I arrived to look at it to hide any oil leaks or any imperfections. I'm not one to give people a bad name, but I don't want anyone getting scammed like I did. I hope this helps
When looking for a new window for my vehicle I was able to track it down at M & W salvage. I called and spoke to someone two different times about the window and they said they would call back if they got the window out in one piece. The gentleman calls back and says good deal, the window is right here in front of me. So I happily paid for the window. A couple of days later when I drove up to Clover South Carolina from North Atlanta Georgia upon entering the facilities was told that they didn’t have the window and the gentleman who gave me the price and told me he had the window wasn’t there. So needless to say I am still out the window and spent six hours plus in the car. At least I got a refund on the window, but why tell a customer who is coming all the way from Atlanta that you have the part in front of you and it’s in good condition and charge them for it? Definitely not a good way to run a business!
BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!
It was so hot walking around the junkyard looking for tires. They don't really sell tires...so if you are looking for anything but maybe a spare, don't waste your time.
