Advance Auto Parts in Lugoff: My Two-Star Review
I visited the Advance Auto Parts in Lugoff for a free battery check, as they advertised on their window. It was a pretty frustrating experience from the start. When I walked in, I actually thought the store was empty, so I said “Good morning! Hello!” out loud a few times. No response. Eventually, I found the staff sitting in chairs towards the back. Even when I greeted them again, they didn’t look up or acknowledge me. They definitely heard me, but just chose not to respond at first.
When one of them finally got up and came over, he had an attitude and was dismissive, telling me I’d have to wait 10 or 20 minutes because someone else was on a break. It was only after I took a picture of their sign that his attitude shifted and he actually helped me out and tested my battery.
In the end, I’m giving them two stars. They did perform the battery check, but the lack of basic courtesy and the dismissive attitude really made for a poor customer service experience.
Bad customer service. I won't be going back there again. Standing in line at the register for about 5 minutes, next in line, and what do they do, they take a person behind me at a different register instead of calling me over there and saying Sir you're next. It's not rocket science to have good customer .service.
Went to purchase a part. The air cond was not working and apparently hasn’t worked all summer. Had to leave because it was too hot. Don’t know why it was so hot.
I needed a new battery and new windshield wipers. I had the best customer service for replacing my battery and Isobel installed my new wipers. A very nice man replaced my battery for me. I highly recommend this Advanced Auto Parts!
Normally this location is great. I go there all the time but went in this evening. They were two people I’ve never seen before one didn’t even look up when we came in and was playing on his phone guy in the back sitting down on his phone. nobody greeted us. My girlfriend had to use the restroom The same restroom that I’ve used in there multiple times was told there was no bathroom and still was never graded or ask what it was we needed help with. I had to drive to the next town at 6 PM on a Sunday to get brake pads very inconvenient and unprofessional
The best Advance I've ever been to they all go above and beyond.I even get great services in all departments whatever I can't find they are right there to help assist and they offer a broad range of products and services just ask.
GREAT CUSTOMER SERVUCE WENT BEYOND EXPECTATIONS AND HELPED ME AND MY BF WHEN WE NEEDED OUR COOLANT RESERVOIR REPLACED. BELIVE HS NAME WAS CHRIS HE DROVES THE BIG DODGE RAM TRUCK . DEFINTELY RECCOMEND AND WOULD DEFINTELY GO BACK
Christa redefines proactive customer service. If I could give six stars I would. I ordered hard to get fuel filters to be delivered to my local AA. She recognized that Saturday delivery schedule wouldn’t get them to me as planned. Called me within an hour of my order to let me know (ME not my local AA). I was able to get the parts I needed when I needed them.

The engine light came on and I went by the store. The gentleman came out and checked it.
He gave me the print out of the diagnostic machine my engine was misfiring. So I'll have to take it to a dealership. But he was courteous and explained everything.
Awesome store with awesome customer service. Friendly and extremely helpful. I went in thinking it would take forever but was suprise by how quickly they found my parts and the knowledge they had concerning the repairs I was doing. I would recommend this place to anyone thank you so much Karl and Emily for the best customer service ive ever recieved in an auto parts store...tell the boss it is time for a raise!!
Terrible service. The so called manager named Michael has NO business working at a auto parts store, she has ZERO knowledge on the subject and TERRIBLE SERVICE. I have two shops less then 7 miles from this location and I can tell you after today we will NEVER order from here again. I am calling the district manager and going to tell them what is going on and that they need to hire new people ASAP.
Disappointed that the technicians no longer come out to check your car when oil light or engine light comes on. I do understand these services have been curtailed due to COVID-19.
Great help here, and Carl told me I could save 20% on my car battery if I used my phone to order online. Also, they braved a downpour to install my battery and I didn't hear a single complaint.
went to get a front turn signal for a 2016 dodge dart and they gave me a white LED *for off road use only*, how tf is that going to help my amber turn signal problem
I had a great experience at this auto store. Very convenient location. They had great customer service and staff. Good parts at a very decent price and they answered all my questions. At the end of my visit they also help me install one of my headlights.
Two employees working the store spent more time trying to help the shade tree mechanic diagnosis problem then they were concerned about the small purchases or assisting other people... NOT GOOD
