I have been here a few times but when I went this weekend I was asked for ID. No one else was. Black woman. I live a few mins from the site and my daughter goes to the school in front of it.
Man was talking to my child like she was slow.
Always professional and friendly willing to help. Folks shouldn't get upset when they are not from Elgin and want to give Staff a hard time for doing there job. I wish they would check ID daily.
Not sure what his name is because he said “I don’t wear a uniform because I don’t like people talking to me”. Dude is very arrogant and sticks his nose in business that has nothing to do with him. Wouldn’t even know he works there because he wears normal clothes. Not a good experience and I hate that this is the closest place to me. Had 2 bad encounters with this guy.
This recycle center is a place where one can leave white goods, TVs and electronics, cardboard, aluminum cans, plastics, yard waste, bulk items and the regular trash bags. The attendants are constantly tending to the various dumpsters and they're good people. Only complaint would be the road going to the dump is in need of a major resurfacing, very bumpy.
Well run by professionals. It STILL needs the road to be properly graded and paved instead of the childish and poor effort authorized by the Camden-centric county council 25 years ago.
Very clean recycling center. You could tell they sweep up around the bins so you don't need to be concerned about getting a nail or sharp object in your tire. The staff was very nice, friendly and helpful.
The employee on duty was very friendly and informative. The locations for certain trash items were clearly labeled. It's a pretty hidden location not nearly as busy as the Elgin recycling center, and much easier to get in and out. Highly recommended.
