Thanksgiving travel was derailed by car problems. As we're driving back home, the battery light came on. Advantage Auto Center had us back on the road in about an hour. Thank you!

This team had our boat and trailer towed from a small country Road on a Sunday- within one hour and trailer repaired within 48 hours!! Price was very reasonable! Hope to never lose a tire plus wheel again but I know who I’ll call!

John is a great dude. Got a blowout fixed for us at 9 pm when no one else was even open. Very honest and dependable. Will be sending business his way!

My wife and I are from NC and we were traveling to Parris Island, SC to watch our son graduate. She is sick battling cancer and having kidney issues from the radiation and probably the chemo. We were already on 95 heading south for several hrs when our vehicle broke down at mile marker 68 right on the on ramp because we stopped at the store for her to use the restroom. We broke down and the vehicle would not crank back up. It was not as hot as it has been for the last week and had a breeze so I grabbed her a chair out of the vehicle so she could sit in the shade. While sitting there she called our insurance company and they had a wrecker on the way to us. While sitting there Jay stopped and asked if we needed any help and we told him thank you and we had someone in the way. He gave me a card and was heading to pick up another vehicle and told me they worked on vehicles if they could help. While waiting I called Enterprise so we would have a vehicle to get to our son. A tow truck came and he dropped us off because they didn’t work on vehicles. Jay carried me to Enterprise to pick up the vehicle and that was a disaster. John worked some magic and a short time later we were back in the road. We were supposed to be to our son around 1345 and we finally arrived around 1900. It was a very long and stressful day but we made it. If it was for Jay and definitely John we would not have made it to see our son graduating. While we were with our son John and the guys worked hard on our vehicle and it was fixed when we left the base after our son graduating. Jay and John both went out of their way to help and make sure we got to our son.

The guys here are like family!!! I had a blow out on I95 and my guy limped the truck to Mavis where the tire had completely obliterated my muffler from the blowout. "Harleigh" at Mavis referred me to Advantage Auto care and "Big John" swung into action like I was a family member. He proceeded to tell me that he didn't want to take business away from Mavis, so he explained to me to let them fix the tire and he would save me a tow fee by coming up to Mavis and retrieved my truck personally Not to mention it was Memorial Day weekend. Upon returning to pick up my truck, the muffler was fixed like New!!! Words can't be expressed enough to describe the level of comfort and certainty I experienced dealing with Advantage Auto. The cover charge was extremely reasonable as well. I'm looking forward to bringing all my service bucket trucks here for preventive maintenance and repairs Great Job Guys ??

Honestly saved our trip from Charlotte to Hilton Head Island. Car had a splash guard dragging and they helped us in less than 15 min. Fantastic people. Heavily recommend!

My daughter was traveling to visit us and had her alternator fail while leaving a restaurant near Walterboro, SC. She had to call 911 because the car broke down in the middle of an intersection, and the hazard lights wouldn't work. John, the owner, was called in to tow her. Not only did he get her car quickly out of the intersection, but he transported her and her friend to a local hotel. He also towed her car to the shop and jumped it enough to get their luggage out. He went above and beyond to bring it to them and then drop her off at the local Enterprise to rent a car. The team back at the shop assessed the car the next day. Troy was an excellent communicator and explained the issue. They fixed the car while my daughter and friends lost very little vacation time. We just picked it up. We can not say enough high praises about John, Troy, and the team. We highly recommend them!

Wow! From towing to repair no fuss get it done! We were traveling from Fort Lauderdale (home) to Raleigh NC to visit family. We stopped at Walterboro for gas when our car wouldn’t start. It was 330pm on a Saturday! Advanced Auto Center agreed to tow and and figure it out! Tow guy was great fast and friendly! The team at Advantage had a new starter in route and delivered when we arrived! At 5:05pm we had a new starter. We had paid a fair price and we were out the door down 95! I can’t thank the team enough for caring about us! I’m just so thankful - truly priceless!

My husband and I were passing through headed to Georgia for our anniversary. We caught a flat and every other tire shop had a minimum 3 hour wait. Advantage was busy, but they made time for us and we waited no more than 20 mins for our repair. They were very precise and it’s evident that they care more about service than money! 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Took my car on Saturday for over heating told me Wed it was fixed , paid around $450 got picked up around 4:30 got it down the road called and told them it had already lost all the antifreeze and was doing the same exact thing , was told they closed in 9 minutes I’d have to bring it back the next day . Took it in on Thursday sat in the office from little before ten to 1 . Around 11:40 that am man came out and told me it was fixed it was just $20 and I could be on my way after paper work . I asked for him to make sure this time the check engine light was off . I wait another 30/40 minutes and walk in and ask I believe Casey what was the hold up with the paper work for the $20 and he proceeded to tell me he over heard the convo that am but had no idea what I was talking about . Come to find out every body just dipped off to lunch even tho this was my 2nd day back and I was just sitting there waiting . John the owner finally sat down and apologized for their lack of customer relations and said if he knew what needed to be done he would have done it himself …. They broke my windshield wiper taking it off and instead of just saying that and that they were waiting on another one to be dropped off they didn’t say anything and went to lunch which is insane to me . I get the car back at 1 they said it was fixed . I get it home look under the hood , random bolts , break fluid container hanging on by one bolt . None of the clips put back on so the under carriage was just flapping crazy . Awful noise when I drove . And STILL LEAKING . So Friday I take it back again 3rd day in a row . Drop it off they apologize for their mechanic he should of never returned it like this …… I finally call them at 4:30 and ask what is what cause I live an hour away and need my car . They said they didn’t get to finish diagnosing it EVEN THO WED WHEN THEY SAID IT WAS FIXED THE FIRST TIME I PAID 120 DIAGNOSTIC FEE so I’m confused why the whole car wasn’t done from the jump . Now they are saying it could be a head gasket but bc of the insurance and laws they can’t drive but so many miles on the car to test it …. YOU ARE A MECHANIC SHOP AND I PAID FOR YOU TO DIAGNOSE THE CAR . Saturday take it back so they can finish … Casey calls and said it could be head gasket it could be something else but they just recommend a whole new engine …… I paid $450 for NOTHING my car is in the same shape before I took it and now I’m actually missing covers and clips under the hood still . Real sad business practice for sure . I feel taken advantage of . Edit:Idk what happen while it was there , not even a week after they did whatever they did the battery light came on as well . Didn’t have any issues with my battery or anything just had an antifreeze leak .

While passing through in order to get to GA to purchase a piece of equipment, the track bar broke on my F350. At 4:30 on a Friday afternoon, we gave John a call and although they were set to close at 5:00, he found the part and stayed late to get us back on the road. There was no price gouging. He charged a fair labor wage and the cost of the part. John, the owner, and his nephew, also John, were kind, helpful, and courteous. If you ever have a need in the area, this is the place to go!

The most kind, honest, and best place I could’ve stopped at for my car issues. I was heading down to Florida when my cars air conditioning gave out. We ended up finding John’s place where he and his team worked hard and stayed a late Friday afternoon (before a holiday weekend nonetheless) to figure out what was wrong with it and told me the diagnoses. They gave me options and opinions without trying to upsell me or talk down on me. They were accommodating to my dog with the heat and let us hang out while they worked on it. I’m so glad I found them and will not hesitate to drive an hour and a half just to go back if I ever need to. Thank you so much and if you have any car issues, save yourself time and head straight here.

I was traveling home from florida to new york and my car had some problems forcing me to stop in south carolina. I went to mavis and they couldnt fix the problem and even mis-diagnosed the problem. Mavis recomended 3 places. The first wouldnt see me for 4 days. The 2nd didnt pick up the phone. Advantage auto the 3rd call said maybe the next day, but i asked if please can they see me today. They asked if i was traveling and i said yes. They not only saw me that day, they diagnosed my problem correctly, got the last spare part in town to fix it and got me heading back home. I will be eternally grateful to them. The price which was the least of my concerns was a honest and great price. A honest and kind mechanic shop is worth its weight in gold and walterboro, south carolina is so lucky to have them. Anyone traveling on I-95 I can safely say that they take care of the traveller. Thanks again for getting me home.

Troy and Casey went above and beyond for us when our vehicle broke down on I95 recently. What started out as a broken belt turned out to be caused by a bad fan clutch, water pump and thermostat. They stayed late to get us back on the road again. They kept us informed every step, were courteous and made sure we were comfortable in the waiting area.

these guys saved my trip ! i’m road-tripping down from NY to FL and while i was on the interstate, i started to heard some crazy noises from my car. i called advantage auto and they got me in IMMEDIATELY and fixed me up with a new set of brake pads, and a couple adjustments so i could get back on my way ! very clear about communicating price and accommodating my travel plans if needed. Troy and Dennis were huge helps with friendly faces !! 10/10 would go back anytime i’m in town !

Troy and his team were heaven-sent angels when I had a tire blowout on I-95. Tow truck and replaced tire in under 2 hours, very respectful and reasonably priced…and very kind to my scared rescue dog who was traveling with me. Highly, highly recommend

A tremendous thank you to John! He responded to our rescue call while traveling the day after Christmas as our car left us stranded off I-95 south and in need of repairs. He was able to order parts and complete the repairs needed within 2 days ( even with it falling on New years's weekend holiday). He even drove us to the rental car provider so we could secure a rental and continue with our vacation plans as scheduled. He was in communication with as repairs were being completed. He really was our Holiday angel this year !! Thank you John!!! We really appreciate your excellent and speedy service !!

Our daughter in law and 2 grandchildren got stranded on I95 at Walterboro, 6 hours away from home in FL, after having Christmas with her family. Our son had to work so he stayed home. He was frantic to get them help, as all husbands/fathers would be, and happened to reach Advantage Auto Center, where John and Troy took excellent care of the vehicle and our kids. I called upon every prayer warrior I know and have no doubt that Advantage Auto Center, John and Troy was heaven sent. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking such good prompt care of our kids, especially when you could have remained closed for the holiday weekend. My wife and two children were stranded on I-95 after spending Christmas with family with major car problems. The owner of the shop not only answered the phone while they were technically closed for New Years, but he called in a tech (Troy) to fix our vehicle. Every step of the process was handled in the most professional manner. The parts were sourced quickly, and Troy went to work, keeping everyone in the loop as to the issues with the vehicle and time frames expected. Above and beyond service, rarely seen today from any company. My family very easily could have been stranded for several days waiting on another shop to open. My deepest respect and gratitude goes to these honorable men. Thank you!!

These guys saved our Thanksgiving! Our car was accidentally hit with spike strips on our way to visit family. These guys picked us up in the middle of the night(turkey and all) and drove us to a hotel for the night. The next morning they searched their yard for replacement tires and delivered the vehicle to us at the hotel...sacrificing the time they could have been spending with family. They went above and beyond for us and we are forever grateful! We definitely would recommend them!

Traveling from NC to FL for my sisters military funeral services, our vehicle started to act up. We stopped at the first service station in Walterboro and they were able to tell us it had something to do with our sensors. Being a Saturday, they could not work on it until the following week. We were sent to another mechanic down the road and they were closed. Due to the condition of the vehicle at that time we made calls to several service centers and Advantage was the first to tell us to bring it in and they would work on it immediately for us. FANTASTIC SERVICE! They had us in and out in less than an hour and a half. We expected a large bill and to our relief it was so reasonable. I wish we had a auto center like them near us! Thank you to everyone at Advantage for getting us back on the road! Thank you so much! I just can't say it enough. Best ever! BTW the car is running beautifully!

We can’t thank Advantage Auto enough for everything they did! We lost our brakes pulling our travel trailer; we made it to our stopover in Walterboro and were able to get our truck over to them. It was Easter weekend and they managed to squeeze us in so we could get back on the road. They were only able to do a temporary repair but it got us home 1000 miles more with no problem. Thank you and Tom for everything! Wish we had more talented mechanics up our way!

Tow truck Tommy and Mechanic Troy were outstanding! Tow truck Tommy arrived in less than 30 minutes to help my son, my dog and myself when my car refused to start. He not only towed my vehicle but also gave my son, my dog, myself and our luggage a lift to a safe hotel and picked us up the next morning and took us all back to the shop to pickup my vehicle which Mechanic Troy had repaired before 930 am the next morning! Everyone was extremely friendly and courteous. Tow truck Tommy is the very best "hero" and definitely went out of his way to make sure we were safe and taken care of. Highly recommend!!

Wow! Wow! Wow! If we could leave more stars, we would! We were stranded on I95 and the tow truck driver and mechanic both went above and beyond, to ensure that we were safely taken care of! John, the mechanic, is very knowledgeable and did a thorough job! The tow truck driver spent more time than expected to get us to a parts store, a hotel, and to pick us up the next day to get us to our vehicle. We are so grateful to this business and their customer focused attitude! They deserve your business!

We broke down in a 42’ motor home on I-95 and these guys were the best! Got us towed to the shop worked relentlessly to figure out the problem. Had one of their employees available to take us to town for meals. No one wants to be broke down but it couldn’t have happened near a better repair facility!

I cannot believe the level of care these guys have! We were headed to FL from VA for our first Disney vacation when we flipped our vehicle going down I95, it was 12:55am and they came out to help us, hopped the vehicle on the wrecker, helped us find a hotel and drove 2 of us there, the other two rode in the police vehicle. When we got to the hotel, he lowered the vehicle so we could get our belongings out, gave me his card and said he would pick us up in his personal vehicle the next morning and take us to rent a car but told us we should continue our trip. Because of him and his kindness, we got to a rental vehicle, and continued our trip and had a great time, all things considered. Putting your trust in these guys is an easy decision. They will take awesome care of you!

Beware! Predatory towing company. Extorted $750 for tow and storage of my stolen camper recovered by Colleton Co. Sherriff's. They tried to get more but sherriff's victim services interceded. Guess they didn't want to jeopardize the concession with the county. Modern day highway men. Would hive no stars if i could.
