TL;DR: Great service but long wait until servicing.
I am writing to provide feedback on my service experience today regarding my Freightliner Cascadia’s DEF system.
I called at 9:20 AM and opted to drive 15 miles to your shop to avoid roadside service fees. I arrived at 9:50 AM and checked in with the same receptionist I spoke to on the phone. Although no trucks were in the bay at the time, I was informed that mobile service calls take priority. At one point, I did see multiple service technicians around 11:15 am. However, none of them came to address me or the vehicle.
After further waiting, a technician conducted a computer diagnosis at 1:45 PM but did not return to the vehicle afterward. At 3:00 PM, I received a service estimate that was higher than anticipated due to additional administration and credit card fees along with parts and labor. Despite this, I agreed to the service and was called into the bay at 3:15 PM. Once the work began, the technician completed the repairs and a test drive in less than 1.5 hours.
While I am satisfied with the quality and speed of the actual repair, the significant wait time—nearly five and a half hours before work began—caused me to miss a booked load. For this reason, I am rating my experience 3 stars.
I would still recommend your business for the quality of the mechanical work, but I will be mindful of the wait times for non-roadside service in the future.

Charging $700 dollars for a used tire, 5 miles away from the truck just because it’s a road service , trying to make the day with one service. crazy !!

Called them at 11am, they came to me at 1pm & was done by 1:40. Replaced my air cylinder quick & easy. Great people & friendly too.. Brian & his little red head helper were great!!
Devin came last night to access part needed to repair truck ? Steering Connecting Rod ! KW opens Monday unfortunately . Great to know people that have our best interest out here still exist. Ty Sylvia too for following up w Roadside Monday Tony n Sylvia came out to repair truck ?! Tony was very focused on getting it installed close as possible to alignment and Sylvia was there w him side by side! Ty Tony and Sylvia for everything much appreciated

Sylvia she came through very fast and jump right into action started working on my truck without any hesitation. Very knowledgeable on what she’s doing and teaching me something as she work. Lol felt like I was on a good date because she took her time trying to get the issue resolved after three hours of working she had the same positive attitude from the time she started working on truck all the way to the end. If y’all have any issues with y’all truck or trailer in South Carolina on I95 give them a call and ask for Sylvia.
Sylvia was awesome! She took her time to diagnose the problem and a world class personality to match. Glad to know they’re still good people in this world.

Our Truck broke down on the side of the road on I95. They came out and towed the truck the the job site for our crew to unload, and then took the their shop to repair. Very helpful and responsive. Overall a fairly good experience.
Tony & Sylvia came out and did their "Magic" on my trailer - that had an air bag leaking, tandem pins wouldn't retract & frame was rusted & wouldn't slide. After about 2 hours of working at it, Tony got it all going , and I can be on my way in the morning! (They were so good with a previous repair I requested them by name for this one too!) They also got my turn signal & flashers going ... can't say enough about "Tommy's" Thanks again! P.S. call them for your heavy duty problems, they'll take good care of you!!!

So glad my company used this company when my truck broke down. Mechanic was there right away and very knowledgeable. They even gave me a ride from my hotel since Ubers and taxis are basically no existent in this area. They repaired my truck in a day and I’m back on the road now! 10/10 don’t hesitate to use them for your towing and repair needs.
Nothing short of awesome. I limped in at 4:30pm, on election day because my high/low shifter valve went out. Naturally they had no one there to look at it. Billy came in the next morning an hour early to take a look at it, he tried but ultimately they had to order parts. After lunch the parts arrived and they got me in and Tony got the issue repaired. Price was very fair, and everyone who works there is nice, down to earth and makes you feel like an old friend. My partner agrees and she hates all shops... lol
Unfortunately I did not get the mechanics name, but he had anger issues and was rude calling me names. I was trying to back my 53ft trailer into a shop bay. He claims I almost ran him over. If you don't want to get run over don't stand behind a truck in a dark shop bay. It's extremely hard to see someone when you're out in the bright sun and the shop is dark. He claims he yelled for me to stop, yet with my window down I did not hear anything until he banged on my trailer. Instead of getting upset and calling me names, why don't you stand where I can see you in my mirrors and stand in the sun and help guide me in. He refused to work on me and sent me away. This shop lost my business and due to your mechanics rudeness and anger you lost future business from my company.
I must let my appreciation be known.
My soot levels were high and throwing the code for 25% derate.
Couldn't get anyone to come out from Savannah to Brunswick Georgia.
Called around 11am looking for service and I'm located in the Savannah area.
Thanks to Sylvia and Nate for coming out late evening and at least buying me some time until I get new filters installed.
Shop is awesome! I was brought in on hook at 130 am. At 830am I was filling out paperwork and by 915 they diagnosed my truck. Ordered parts and will be on the road tomorrow. Sylvia was super nice and offered me a ride to my hotel, but ultimately, Tony was going to lunch and brought me.
Next time I will call them if I’m in the area, and need a tow
Fastest service call I've ever had. Very polite and hard working. Marvin was all business and got stuff done and Sylvia was very knowledgeable and all business also, and not to bad to look at either. So if u get to choose who is gonna do your roadside assistance pick Tommies Auto and Deisel.
If I could give 10 stars I would. A warning light came on in our motorhome as we pulled into town for the night. Called one place in the morning and they told us they were scheduling 3 weeks out. Called Tommie’s and they told us to come right over. Billy came out to the parking lot, saw it was a quick fix, got a few tools to do the job and sent us on our way. What extraordinary service!!
I got myself stuck in some mud last week in Beaufort SC while working. Tommy really came through and saved the day. I thought I'd be out there in the cold all night, but with Sylvia working the phone, being the awesome facilitator she is, and Tommy working his way to me, I was back rolling in no time. Great, speedy, customer service and very well experienced technician. I'd recommend their services to anyone.
Tommie’s was a blessing to us last night. When having car trouble while on I-95, we had to pull off onto a dark and desolate exit. Hours away from home we weren’t sure who to call. Tommie’s tow truck just so happen to be getting off the exit and was so nice to stop and ask if we needed help. He was on a job, but he gave us a number to call. Sylvia was so nice to talk to, then kept in touch though text messages on the ETA of another tow truck. In just an hour, my family of five were safely in a tow truck! The driver told us a good hotel in the area and then got us there! He took our car back with him and in the morning took our car to an automotive shop! Afterwards they came back to the hotel for us to run our card and get our receipt. All of this for a fair price!! Definitely couldn’t recommend them more! When you are in need.. call Tommie’s!!
These guys helped me out of a real big "breakdown" jam. An all trailer tires smokin, streaken'n striping, eighteen wheeler type of jam! They dispatched and did the the job when others wouldn't or didn't even pick up the phone The respectful and professional Tech showed me what's up and got me outta harms way. One grateful driver here. Stay safe out there.
On a Sunday morning traveling from South Carolina to NJ I go a flat and was luckily able to be somewhere safe. No one had a tire available locally so I needed a tow to the dealer. Out of approx 5 calls to other tow companies no one could help me. I called Tommie’s and Sylvia picked who was very professional and was able to help my day a little better. She took my info and was able to dispatch someone right away. Perry, the tech, showed up and quickly and safely loaded up my car. Very professional, courteous, and great communication.
The price was a little high but for the quick & professional service it was worth it . I had William come out , his 30 plus yrs of experience had me back rolling within 30 mins of arriving. Loves/pilot 5-6 hr wait ..

Rented a penske truck broke down in S.Carolina had to be towed all the way to central florida. Everything arrived safely and finally was done with the trip from hell.
GoodDay I wanted to Thank Frank for being an amazing, Professional,

a rental 26th footer to loose power and there dashboard lights to look
like a Christmastree. However I made it safe to nearest Hotel in Charleston SC.. Next Day Made Claim for with Budget and they Contacted Tommies Auto Repair.. Frank called and toldme he was working on a truck however he was 56min away and believe it or not he arrived in 45..
he tookhis time and diagnosed the problem nether the less he told me the time to work on the truck sat 90 min plus told me to relax in a freezing temp outside and got the Job done...I am soo glad that there is always an

I had a great experience with Tommies Auto & Diesel from start to finish. My truck had an airline leak so I spoke with Sylvia who assured me that the job would get done. She was very professional and polite. The tech Frank arrived quickly and thoroughly handled my repair. He too was professional and explained how he was repairing the airline leak. I highly recommend.
