I went to sell my scrap copper and they barely spoke English and he didn't properly identified my copper and bare bright. They wanted to give me a lower grade. I ended up going to another scrap yard and got the copper 1 and bare bright with no issues.
There were 2 Hispanic people working the scale when I went in to sell my copper and they barely spoke English. They did not tell me what price I would be getting per pound and I received $1.50 per pound for #2 when the sign said $2.30 per pound.
Not very friendly. But once you figure out how things work around there. It wasn't so bad. Even with a couple hickups I was still loaded in less then a hour. 53 ft trailer.
Went in recently due to a fire at another local scrap yard (where I usually had gone). I had a car load of scrap steel (the steel framework of old furniture). Went to the walk up bay near the vehicle scale and a man (who was trying to be helpful - but knew very little English) told me I had to go to the office. I did. Nothing in there but locked doors leading to somewhere else. I then called them from my cell phone. Eventually, I spoke to a guy who told me there was no scrap value - but I could leave it all if I wanted. Went to a scrap yard in Plymouth and got my $4.
These guys were hired from Allan Industry to pick up our scrap metal. At 4480 lbs. No one in either company will pay out the money owed. But they have the material. Everyone was nice to deal with until it came time to pay .
The best prices around. As far as I know, they are very knowledgable and the best paying prices for your metal. The staff is not rude but very helpful to all your questions. The lady is very nice that answers the phone. Shout out to the nice lady, give her a raise. Reasonable answer and easy to understand. Thanyou. This is my number one place for copper and alluminium.
