Excellent service and absolutely the BEST performance shop around. Joe and the techs at JD’s always treat your car as if it’s their own. Wouldn’t go anywhere else for service, performance mods or restoration. Joe greets every customer that comes in shop. The fact that he takes personal pride in his shop and in the techs that work for him are the reasons I take my cars there for service & performance. Recently had Borla ATAK exhaust installed on C7 Z06 with some service and was impressed with the emails updating the progress with pics of installation as it was being done. The attention to detail Joe and his techs provide to the cars and trucks they work on is outstanding. Owner Joe D always sends out letter of thanks when you get your car serviced. No one does that !! I bought my 1972 Blazer to JDs last year. Best decision I could have made! From the moment I dropped it off until the day it was delivered the team did a fantastic job. A complete first class organization from top to bottom! Joe, Ray, Mike and Marcello were awesome to work with. They kept me updated on the progress and they were always happy to take time to speak with me when I called or just dropped in. I could not be happier with the results.

I was looking for a place that could work on my 1991 Jaguar XJS and was referred by a friend to JD’s, needless to say I was super pleased with their work. They had the car ready on the agreed upon time and when I went to pick it up there was plastic on the drives seat and a paper mat to cover the floor mats, it’s the little stuff like that that shows what type of place you’re dealing with. I will continue to service my car with them and certainly refer them to friends and colleagues. Thanks guys!

Awesome place to get car fixed the right way. Did great work restoring my new purchase of a yellow 73 Mustang Conv. to make it safe for me and my kids to enjoy. Always took pics and prompt responses to my concerns. Managers are also great to deal with and answer questions.

Purchase a 2001 firebird formula a year ago (dream car when I was little, plans to restore) with engine issues and a smell of burning oil. Turned it in and fixed it the first time (my old mechanic did not). Super professional employees and never felt like my questions were an issue. Nice to finally have a mechanic I can trust.

I recently recieved service by JD's team on my 1971 Chevelle. They did an outstanding job adjusting my suspension and brakes. this has made my dream car much more pleasurable to drive. The team kept me well informed during the entire process of what I needed to achieve the comfortable ride while still having the ability to maintain high performance and handling. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for complete care under one roof at a reasonable price.

i have a 1939 Mercury and I am far from a flathead Ford V8 expert. The team here keeps my car in the best shape and doesn't hesitate to repair and refurbish rather than buy new (lower quality) parts. The team takes the time to ensure that the car is safe to drive and maintain and anticipates what needs to be reviewed. They provide great explanations of what needs to be done and why and return the car in perfect shape after each visit.

One of the best shops and staff I've ever seen! And I've seen many. Top notch work it doesn't get any better. They are the real deal. They know what they are doing. I highly recommend if you want it done right!

Great place with employee's that are passionate automotive enthusiasts. Very welcoming staff. Cars and Coffee event the first Saturday of each month has been a great and enjoyable time for all who attend.

It was my first time there and it was for an alignment. I had been turned down by other standard mechanic shops because of my custom set up which is far different than factory specs. Anyway they had no problem getting my alignment done and they did a fantastic job because the car handles so much better. Communication was good, they were quick and friendly, they even washed my car. Fantastic service.

I went there a couple years ago and wanted a complete restoration paint job on my Mustang so I went in there and the owner told me to come back so he could have his expert Paint guy there to give me an exact price to remove every tiny little imperfection in the paint. I also wanted a new bumper and some quarter panels. After about an hour almost the entire car was covered in tiny little pieces of tape to mark everything that needed to be fixed. It couldn’t I have been more than 6 inches between each piece. Left he told me $5000 would get the job done exactly the way I want it pretty much every inch of the car had to be gone over. I agreed happily. About a week or two later I got a call saying they were off a little bit on the estimate They told me it would now be $10,000. I don’t understand how that could happen considering he already planned on doing the entire car. Almost the entire thing was covered in blue polkadots. If it was off by 1000 or two OK. I told him absolutely not he’s trying to rip me off. When I went to go pick it up they said that I had to pay a fee for the storage and the estimate now. After a lot of screaming and yelling and then insulting me they finally gave me the keys back and I drove away. Don’t get ripped off by these fools. No One Underestimates A paint job for $5000. Especially not his expert paint guy or the owner himself. Beware. I own my own business and have met multiple people that had work done by him and they said the same thing happened but they were happy with the work and it was too much trouble to get their car somewhere else so they just let it go. They didn’t want to yell get yelled at or have to pay the fees to get it out of the shop. These guys do this often

Disappointing customer service. Took my car here for an estimate, 3 weeks later and haven't received any followup, and no reply to my emails. Also, some of these reviews are written by employees. Word of wisdom to Tom: If you're going to write a review praising the work of your own employer, at least have the good sense not to use your real name, especially when your Facebook page shows that you work there as a painter.

I've gone to a lot of shops with my car over the years but this shop by far Takes the Cake. Between their customer service and quality of work, they are unmatched. The owner Joe is amazingly knowledgeable, trustworthy, and someone I'm glad to have the pleasure of working with. The rest of his staff from marchello down in the shop, to Ray upfront are top notch. I literally couldn't recommend the shop more to anyone. Five stars out of five.

Have always taken good care of my 1988 Jaquar convertible. Some 12 years ago Joe's team restored my son's 1967 Camaro classic and it is still running great in 2018!

I dropped my 1971 truck off at their shop solely based on the reviews I've read online. I can't express how amazing their work was. I was annoying, bugging them constantly and they always replied to me with professionalism and respect. When they returned my truck it runs better than (I assume) it did off the factory line 47 years ago. These guys are true artisans. If they are willing to take me back after I bugged them so much, I won't be taking my truck anywhere else ever again.

I recently had work performed on my 95 Ford F-350 ,. Completely satisfied no question. For years I’ve looked for a mechanic , and found nothing . Very hard to Find an honest mechanic who completely stands behind their work and gives a damn about their customer and beyond . Joe has a talent and a gift others couldn’t even fathom as far as I am concerned . Their work place is friendly and very very clean . I have only met Joe about 3 or 4 times but I’ll tell you this , I bet joe can close his eyes every nite and rest fine . That’s how on point JDs Performance is. I had a complicated leak into the bay of my 10 year-old SUV that Joe and his team handled easily. After an inspection, they repaired my suspension and it drives like new. I recommend the shop without reservation.

Joe has an excellent staff, knowledgeable in all phases of auto repair and performance. Work is on schedule, on budget, and completed in a highly professional manner.

These guys are the best !!!! Whatever the car, new or old, foreign or domestic, they can do it, but remember you get what you pay for and good mechanics are not cheap. If you want instant gratification and a cheap price , then this place is not for you. If you want quality craftsmanship, a job done right and willing to wait a little, then you will not be disappointed !!!! JDs does perform a wide variety of restoration and performance services, some of which might be hard to find elsewhere, and the quality of much of their work appears to be good. But if you decide to go with JDs, pin them down to a written estimate beforehand for all tasks. Establish your price ceiling and communicate it clearly prior to any work being done. Unfortunately for me, I made the mistake of getting a written estimate in advance for only some of the tasks I had requested, therefore setting myself up for being taken advantage of for the remaining tasks. My experience was similar to Mixa Frak's review. Very, very expensive. Joe tended to be vague when giving estimates, and based on my experience, appeared to be inclined to perform requested tasks to the most expensive measure possible. For at least one task I requested, they went above and beyond the requirements of what I requested to be done without clearly communicating to me the extent of the repair that they would ultimately perform nor the cost involved. A minor aspect of this very costly task was not performed to my satisfaction, but my request to have appropriate measures taken to rectify it was denied. They were willing to take a band-aid approach to attempt to pacify me for that item. I did have a few other very minor requests for revisions, which they did attempt to resolve. The quality of some of the other items of the job was quite good overall, and one particular item was superbly done, but the overall project likely could have been done for a much lower cost.

JD's Auto repair is a MUST USE shop!! They do it all. They've done high performance, restoration and general auto repair and every aspect of it is with the highest level of service, professionalism and absolute impeccable work. They stand behind everything they do! You will not find a better more qualified shop in the area!!
