I had a really great experience with New Life Thrift. They are an awesome nonprofit organization that helps out the community; such as widows, orphans, and those experiencing homelessness, etc which makes donating feel even more special. Mike and David came to my parents’ house to pick up donations, and they were super nice and very professional. They carried a ton of heavy furniture, clothes, household items and lots of random stuff without any complaints. They were hardworking, friendly, always smiling, and even had a great sense of humor. They also have wonderful thrift stores in Glenside and Melrose Park. I highly recommend using New Life Thrift for donation pickups and checking out their stores too. They sell quality goods at affordable prices. Great people doing great work!

Definitely my favorite go to Thrift Store. I have found wonderful items over the years! I must give a shout out to Stefanie! She has worked there for 10 years. I have watched her blossom. Just the other day I learned she is now the manager there and I could not be more proud. We do not know each other on a personal level but through casual conversation. On Monday I discovered her new role. Stefanie is always, I mean ALWAYS working! I think the store is well organized and welcoming. Stephanie, as well as her staff are always willing to help!

Very clean very very very very very very large place nice people work there, I got a suitcase that I could actually put a person in its huge and I paid less than $20 and it's gorgeous. We will definitely continue shopping here. Merry Christmas and God bless you

High priced junk! Wanted $8.00 for a broken picture frame! A lot of their items are in really bad shape and they are asking top dollar! Also when you donate they want to pick and choose on what they will accept from you to sell. It’s all about making as much money as possible. One of the managers there was very mean to me and she shouldn’t be working there. The merchandise in the store is piled high because the high prices deter customers from buying. Go to Bryn Athyn or Liberty thrift stores instead and stay clear away from this high priced place full of beaten up junk!

One of my favorite places to donate. They are very friendly and helpful. If you need one, they can provide you with a receipt.

I have tried shopping here several times and always the same experience - both the staff and the customers are incredibly rude and inconsiderate. I spend most of my time trying to avoid being bumped into, stepped on, or cut off as I am walking by employees and shoppers. Always with no apology. Anything that has name brand tag is pretty much priced what it would have been in the store when purchased new. $66 for a secondhand Claiborne men's sweater. Really? Newsflash - Claiborne isn't a big name anymore. Also a mantel clock priced at $200 and women's pants $25. At these prices I may as well shop new. DVDs are inconveniently placed where people line up to pay so there is no hope of browsing there. No music section but tons and tons of glassware and dishes that sits and collects dust.

This used to be one of my mother and I favorite store. We’ve spent countless money here. However, we stopped going because of the price gouging. Things are so expensive here items are priced with greed. Thrift stores are supposed to have items that are affordable to all. Thrift stores have either forgotten or expect us to forget that these items are donated to them. They spend zero dollars for these items and want to charge you $50- $400 for items. The nerve is just heartless. I’d rather spend my money to buy new. I expect department stores to rip me off and they have the audacity to have gospel music playing while they extort you. It’s just unbelievable. You make out better meeting the people who are donating outside and purchasing their drop off if they look like they’re dropping off solid items. The price you’ll pay inside far exceeds them needing to keep the lights on. I’m sure the owner is living well!

Second hand store are supposed to be affordable and truly help those that are truly poor and one a tight budget. However this second hand store is expensive. It's supposed to be a second hand store not a consignment or some type of antique or vintage store. Honestly they only care about making money and not truly helping people who are on a budget and poor. They give the word abd name second hand/ thrift store a bad name and reputation. Second hand store were originally created to help the poor and struggling not charge an arm and leg for items. Sadly they only care about making as much money and profit as they can.

They have nice items but the customer service was atrocious. My girlfriend and I felt racially targeted by one older white employee who continuously spoke down and made comments about us. Additionally, several other employees appeared disingenuous and displayed dismissive attitudes which added to an overall unwelcoming atmosphere. Many of the items they have in the store were great but due to the customer service neither of us want to go back.

Middle of the road... I actually think their strengths are the furniture and the kitchen items, they are small enough that they've been choosy about what they take in (talking furniture here) to their benefit. I've purchased a few items from these departments and have been very happy with both the items and felt the price paid was fair. So go check out the furniture- they sometimes have some gems that seem appropriately priced. Skip the clothes. Clothes are difficult right now with so much fast fashion. What is so disappointing about this thrift store is they pulled a good portion of what they consider 'boutique' to their 'boutique' and last time I visited there nothing was less than $20... for nothing exciting. Mediocre brands, mall brands (Jessica Simpson was one brand I remember) So the big store is left with more worn, picked over clothes or a lot of fast fashion... as has been the trend in retail so is filtering into the thrift stores unfortunately. I have seen in other reviews the thrift store saying their pricing is in line with other thrift in the area... I can think of a handful of other thrift stores in the area that price their clothes more fairly for the quality of the inventory they have to offer. So check out the furniture and the kitchen area, great options there but skip the clothes.

This thrift has soooo many cool things! I love their jewelry and furniture selection the most. The back room that they had for dresses, coats, and heels reminded me of a walk in closet, which was so cute and cozy.

I remember when she opened at the first location. The first thing she did was get rid of the donation container that had been there for years because she wanted all donations to come to her shop. So she essentially stepped on another donation collectors toes and caused them to loss profit. She claims to be a non profit and donates proceeds to poor countrys. I'd like to see proof of that. Let's see how transparent she would be if we sent a 6abc news investigators there. She had a nerve to ask me, a tenant with a disability to move my car from the handicap spot so that her customers could park there. She is not as nice as she presents herself to be.

Stephanie is amazing! You can tell she cares about her customers cause she was so willing to help me and my daughter. She is definitely a multitasker and was juggling alot I was impressed on how she was getting it all done and helping us at the same time. The store is very well organized! Thank you Stephanie for being so kind and caring to us. We will be back!!

I have been shopping at this thrift store for over 20 years. The only time it was below standard for price and manager rudeness towards both employees and customers alike was when it was managed by the previous manager. Since she’s been gone it almost back to the new life I remembered . It could use some price adjustments especially in the shoe department. Most of the staff is very helpful with Stephanie the manager being exceptional. She’s always been very respectful and helpful from all the way back when she was just a regular employee. Mike the driver is another great worker and very helpful. I hope to continue to see good changes, where I can continue to shop my favorite thrift store.

I’ve shopped at New Life Glenside Thrift for years. From toys to household items to books to clothes, we’ve always left with some “treasure.” As my daughters have gotten older, this has become their thrift store. They appreciate the variety, the regular sales and especially the dressing rooms. Definitely worth stopping in before you look elsewhere. For an affordable shopping experience, pop in here.

I’m a regular shopper at New Life in Glenside! This location is clean and organized! I shop for beautiful vintage pieces! Today I found a Mohair Scarf Made in Scotland for $6.00! You can’t find that on Amazon! Their prices have been more affordable lately! The staff is constantly putting out new items! Stephanie is helpful and quickly responds to any questions or requests! I gave New Life 5 stars bc you can find almost anything here and the staff is great!

Great customer service!! Ms. Stephanie when I do see her at the store is always a great help with locating items. When I have issues with item or not marked the right way Steph and one other male coworker goes above and beyond to solve the problem!! I definitely recommend this thrift shop to anyone and everyone!!

I am writing this review after visiting this store few times (2 months period): 1. Store Manger: Rude, no professional/customer service experience. Please, find someone who can run this store efficiently. This store has a good potential for business. 2. Other Staff members: Too many walking around! Only10% of them knows how to talk to customers. Why do you need too many employees though there is no business going on? Unless, they are volunteers!! Sad! 3. I am surprised, how these employees are getting paid!!?? I noticed most of the items sitting there for months because primarily (extremely) OVER priced. Unless, there are no items coming in or taken in or rejected which indicates obviously for poor business. Please Make this store better again!! Please don't waste your time replying to this review! Instead, spend your time training your manager/reshaping your business. Thank you. P.S. In my opinion 5 stars reviews are 99.9% FAKE. 5-stars review for this store!!??? No, Kidding!

Dusty, crowded, and wayyyy overpriced. Used to be a go to spot for fun, quality, and cheap finds. No longer. My business/charity will now go elsewhere. (Example in picture: 10$ for an old Coleman folding chair. Can get a new one for same price at Sam’s club. ?)

New Life Thrift is a large thrift shop that sells a variety of items, including furniture, clothing, glassware, jewelry, and more. There is a lot packed in and it’s not all organized. The clothing is very unorganized. They offer different sales depending on the day. However, I saw little that coordinated with sale color. The prices are definitely higher than you’d expect at a thrift store. I found many unpriced items. The checkout line was long and took some time. The female employee seemed aggravated by my questions. There is parking behind the store.

They don’t have Apple pay (many don’t) . They take cash or card. Parking lot is located in the back and FREE. They take any size donations. I drive through the back and drop my clothes donations in the big bin. Inside is a lot larger than expected . They have many labeled rooms in accordance to the products . They have anything you can think of . *** The prices are higher than the average thrift store. Still can find good stuff. Not a lot of size variety for toddlers . Not a lot of shoes as well. They had more things for girls than boys . The sales vary but when I went on Saturday it was 1/2 off yellow tag items which I only found like 3 things with yellow tags . They have coats out already. Refer to the images . I bought 3 girl toddler shirts and 1 woman shirt . Check out was super fast. The young lady who checked me out was super nice.

Great day thrifting! I spend hours in here as therapy. Prices are not as thrifty on many items like they used to be, but if you put some time in, you will come out happy with the items you find. My favorite find today was a pair of brand new Clarks flats I got for $10!! Spent $80 total and came out with a pair of VS pants, 2 pairs of shoes, 2 pairs boots, 6 t-shirts, 2 sweatshirts, and a few other misc items.

Very nice thrift store with good selection in each department. Some things are a little overpriced but you can still find great deals.
