I cannot Thank Greg and AJ enough for all they did for us last night. We got a flat tire across the Street from this Store and we managed to drive it across to their parking lot. They both went above and beyond Customer Care to help us change our tire, which took us 2 hours to get the lug nuts off. They kept bringing out different tools and helping us even tho it was freezing cold. Please support this store and to Greg and AJ...... you Guys both ROCK so much!!!!! HIGHLY recommend them.

Walked in thinking I had to place an order and wait days for it to come in , surprisingly he had 1 in stock. 2010 ford focus ignition system. This location has never let me down .

Went to advance auto because of an engine light. Wait, time was just a few minutes,Todd did a great job with scanning the car and letting me know the code. I googled the code and read it to him. He was very helpful in letting me know that code is a problem that he has seen before with my particular car .Top notch service very professional great guy.

I came into the Glenside store this morning for a battery and received excellent service from the gentleman who waited on me. Not only did he do a great job installing the battery, but gave good advance regarding the value of proper lubrication and protection from battery corrosion, as well as how to clean the headlamps on my 2015 Toyota Corolla. I would have liked to write an email on his behalf to the company, but couldn’t find one online. Thanks so much for the great service!

I had a great experience yesterday here. I spoke to Todd on the phone about possibly needing a new battery for my truck. Upon my arrival to the store, I met with Todd who came out and took a look at my battery. Unfortunately, the battery was so corroded since it had been in there for about 5 years or so but Todd agreed to put an attempt to see if he could safely get the battery out to replace it. After about 30 mins, the corrosion from the battery acid was starting to clear up which allowed Todd to disconnect the battery safely and to make sure he could put another one in. I went in and bought a new battery and Todd installed it for me and it’s good as new. Todd cleaned the terminal for me and really put in an effort to make sure I was all set. I appreciate the way Todd went above and beyond to help me out here and would definitely go back if I need any assistance with my truck!

Easy pick up, all 6 parts were ready immediately. I often choose this store for ordering parts. Great work. .

Today I popped into Advance Auto Parts in Glenside to get some new wiper blades. Todd was super helpful in helping me decide on a good pair of windshield wiper blades for my Ford Focus. He even helped me put them on my car! I was so grateful for him and his kindness. If you’re just a girl and you need a place safe, reliable place to get some car help, I really recommend the Glenside store. Thank you Todd!

Unfortunately this is a bad review. I went to this location 3 times in the last 2 weeks, and 2 out of three were horrible. Please note I am a dual certified master technician working in a dealership environment. I was requested to fix the air conditioner in a friends car (14 Jeep). Needed a blend door motor / gear for the fix. First trip there I asked for the complete motor after looking it up on their website. 25 minutes standing there the counter guy said they could not find it. So I went home and ordered and paid for the replacement gear. Went there with my receipt and you guessed it, another 25 minutes and they cant find that part. Called up autozone right up the street and they said they had it in hand, so I motored there to buy. I used to spend a lot of money at advanced in Glenside, but no more. Another 5 minute ride and your at a real parts store.

My son went to this location over the weekend and had them check the alternator. He was told the alternator was not putting anything out . and battery was also bad . He took it to the mechanic. It turned out only the battery was the only thing bad . But because the mechanic had to re tested tha alternator. And replaced the battery. It cost in the end over $400 dollars. If there going to advertise they do free diagnostic testing on batteries and alternators.there employees need to know what there doing. And it looks like they don't know what there doing at this store.

Went here a couple weeks ago for wiper blades. The service was good. The associate was friendly. He double checked for the right size and showed me different options according to my budget. He installed the new blades. The store was clean. The parking lot was also clean and big. I would definitely return to this location.

Unfortunately I’d like to leave zero stars. I purchased a battery from this location about two years ago in Feb and the gentleman who helped me took my old battery out and installed the new one in less then 20 mins with no problem. Fast forward to April of this year I started having issues with my car where I had to jump it a couple times. I was under the impression I was able to go to my local advanced auto parts but was told to go to the location I purchased the battery. When I got to the location I was greeted by the older gentleman with the long hair and he confirmed the warranty was still good and stated they don’t take out or install batteries but could test the battery. He stated “the battery is low but it’s ok, I’m not a mechanic but I’ve seen this issue a couple times and I believe it’s the starter.” I left and informed my mechanic of the info I was given and he tested everything and stated it’s the battery and to get a new one. Last night I called to confirm the Warrenty again since it had been a couple months and asked if I had to bring the battery in or if someone on staff could take it out and install the new one. I was told yes they would do all the work. I arrive this morning at 9:26am with my father and the same man with the long hair stated they would not be taking it out or installing. I informed him I spoke with someone last night and he acknowledged that the person who I spoke with would do it but they weren’t there and they’re not supposed to because if something happens with the battery down the line they can’t be responsible. He checked the battery again and asked who told me I needed a battery. I let him know my mechanic and he stated “you need to get a new mechanic.” I asked him what did the sign in the window mean stating “free battery installs” and he stated “fine print says for MOST cars” The manager got involved and made the situation even worse by being very rude and combative just for them to finally look at my car and state they can do it but I had to wait from 9:45am until 11:15am. Meanwhile they had no customers come in until 11am as I sat in the parking lot waiting and 4 workers on staff . I honestly feel like I was being racially profiled and will be contacting corporate. I’ll never come to this location again and would advise others not to as well.

Huge thank you to Greg at the Glenside location. Driving home, my engine light came on. I called the local Firestone I've gone to over a decade and they wouldn't take me. Greg read the coding, added oil, and gave me advice I trusted. Now I can get to work in the morning. Exceptional customer service.

Just recently visited the Glenside location and as always it was a beautiful experience. An individual name Bobby waited on me and he gave me stellar, top quality service. He immediately attended to my need and went over and beyond by assisting me further. If only every establishment could have employees like him

My battery died today and was able to get a jump and head to this location. John installed a new battery for me in no time! Wonderful experience John was great!

Advance Auto parts is a great place, well supplied, but it helps to know what you're looking at, and to recognize it, otherwise, the incredible display of everything that has to do with taking care of cars can be confusing, as in my case. This has no reflection on the store itself, but just on my ability to navigate a store full of accessories and things that I don't immediately recognize. The staff are helpful, and I believe you can pretty much find what you need, or the staff will help you.

Came here to have someone check on my battery as I had to jumpstart it 3x since the day before. Unfortunately, since I came in at around 9am, I had to wait until 10am as the person who does the battery inspections comes in at that time. When I did come back around 10:45, a young but well versed staff member came and thoroughly inspected my car battery, advising me to replace it, which I did. He discovered that my battery was leaking battery acid as well as overheating when I accelerated the RPM between 2 and 3. The cheapest battery they had came to $94, however they had to order that. Thus, I decided to purchase a battery worth $109, totaling to $116 for the replacement job, which didn’t take long at all to do. I appreciate the experience these guys have when it comes to repairing vehicles and I thank them for being efficient and for doing what they do best as I make informative conversation with the staff member at hand in regards to cars and servicing them.

Rude rude rude rude rude. The big guy with long hair, beard and glasses was the RUDEST when I came in nicely and asked to borrow their code reader to read the codes my Kia was giving off when my check engine light came on. His response and I quote “NO!!” After he begrudgingly walked out to my car with the scanner, he read the codes and said “the code is XYZ. Google it to find out more” and walked away. This guy need a basic understanding of customer service. I work at a credit union where people yell and scream at me about their money and I can handle them with a calm pleasant demeanor. If this guy can’t handle a nice guy asking politely for a simple request that Advance Auto is well known for offering, he needs to find a new job where he doesn’t have to interact with people. The only reason I’m giving 1 star is because I can’t give 0. This is the only time I’ve been here and the last time! He needs customer service 101 coaching BADLY! *update* I had to come back to pick up a part that only this store had in stock. Andrea was very polite and helpful to locate the part I needed, let me go to my car and see if it fitted, and went above and beyond to provide me with an alcohol pad she happened to have on her to help me clean off some built up debris before replacing the part. Got me back on the road and my check engine light cleared in 10mins. He should be taking notes from Andrea! (5 ⭐️s)

John was excellent in changing out my old battery and replacing. He gave me great info on my problem and what to look out for moving forward. The issue John warned me about with my terminal was correct and Todd made some adjustments to try and correct it. A1 customer service!

AJ and Greg were super nice and helpful. Greg went above and beyond to help me out, checking the battery on my car despite it being dark outside. He was thorough and did everything he could to help me. Edit: meant to put 5 stars. My apologies.

First, let’s clarify that this store doesn’t deserve any stars, but I had to put at least one star to put in my review. I had the worst store experience when I stopped in to buy a battery tonight at 8pm. So, I pull in and there were 2 workers (they claim their names were “Will H. & Jake Z.”) and by the way, Will claimed to be the “manager”. The store was empty so I walk in and asked if someone could check my battery because I had to get a jump a hour earlier so if it was in fact my battery then I wanted to buy one right then and there. The workers looked at each other then Will says “we typically do battery checks between 8am - 6pm”. Let’s remember that there is absolutely no one in the store, so both were just standing around talking and not trying or willing to help a customer who needed a battery. I left the location then went back because the fact that they both weren’t doing anything didn’t sit right with me. So I go back in the store and asked why they weren’t doing their jobs and turning customers away. Neither of the two didn’t answer and didn’t seem bothered when I requested their names so I could call corporate on them. The fact that they still didn’t care to help tells me that this behavior is allowed and the owner possibly is unaware. This situation is grounds for me to call and report to corporate. I hope the owner takes his company seriously and reprimands them for the lack of care they have for customer. I will never patronize this establishment and possibly never buy anything from any Advance Auto Parts store. I will be sure to put the word out to others to not go to the Glenside Advance Auto Parts. WORST experience ever!!!

Ordered a new car battery online, and received email in less than 45 minutes confirming my order was ready for pickup. Everyone I dealt with at the store was courteous and professional. The gentleman that installed my new battery was a very nice guy. Refund for the old battery core was credited in about an hour. Excellent experience from beginning to end.

Bought a car battery and asked if they could swap my old battery for the one the new battery. They told me no and the guy walked away from the register. First and last time I go to this place. I should take the battery back and get refunded. I'll gladly take me money elsewhere.

I came in to buy replacement windshield wipers. The employee greeted me as soon as I walked in and assisted me in picking the right one for my car. Shortly afterwards he installed them and made sure they worked properly. I highly recommend this store! Excellent customer service!

I've been going there since this place was built. It was one of the 1st Advance stores I started using for parts in that area. The people were always so helpful and a pleasure to deal with. It's now been at least 7 years I use this store for parts when I need them in that area. I'm a mobile mechanic, so the branch I may use is not always the same but I know the parts I'll get will be quality with good prices. Most of the time, the employees who work there are knowledgeable enough to know what I'm looking or need (of course not 100% of the time being that a few don't turn wrenches at all, but this particular store is one of the better ones). Of all the Advance part store locations, this & 1 other, are my favorite.
