Lexi saved the day. I called in a panic- flat tire and I have to have my job as a travel salesman. I was in defcon 12 stress and she handled the situation perfectly. She found my tires, got me in and out in 24 hours and kept me updated throughout the whole ordeal. She is a STAR! Congrats Rob Valenti and the whole team at Firestone. You helped me out in a stressful situation! You are my go to for everything with my vehicle.

The only Great part of my experience was the help of employee Lex. She helped me navigate a difficult problem with my tires, went out of her way to help me and explained everything clearly. Everything she told me was honest, and correct. She has a wonderful personality and disposition. I haven't had this awesome experience at Firestone in more than 10 years

Totally scammed my mother-in-law. Supposedly replaced her valve cover gaskets in January of 2022 and charged $128 for parts. Not terrible at all. Then apparently told her in March 2023 she needed valve cover gaskets again and charged her $609.99 x 2 for parts! The labor is clearly separate on the receipt. No need for the shop to respond to this. Already taking this case to Firestone corporate. I wouldn't take my car to any Firestone location for anything other than tires, but I would avoid this location at all costs.

I went to the Bala Cynwyd location ( 31 City Ave ) on Saturday 02/07/2026, strictly for new tire installation. During my visit, service tech Yorgenis Cabrera made me aware of some corrosion on my battery and suggested I have it cleaned off for an extra $15, he insisted the battery life was very good ( 96%) and it did NOT need to be replaced, only cleaned. I gave permission for them to clean it and thought I would be good to go. The very same night my car battery was DEAD. The next morning, I called the store to let them know the issue, each time I called I was immediately placed on hold, without anyone even answering to ask if it was ok to be placed on hold. I was placed on hold and ignored for more than 5 minutes. I went back to the location to speak to someone in person and was basically told that there is nothing that they can do. I also called today (02/09/2026) and asked to speak to a manager to have them provide the GM info. I was told there is no GM. NEVER AGAIN !!

Called to see if they did state inspections and how much it would be. As soon as the call went through someone picked up, went “wait” and put me straight on hold. After being on hold for 15 minutes the call went through to another line which promptly put me in another hold for 5 minutes. After this I hung up and called back only to get the exact same experience. Wasted 30 minutes of my life for nothing. Called Pep Boys and got a price + appointment in 5 minutes.

ZERO STARS!!!!!! My vehicle was dropped off due to a persistent whirring noise. I was quoted $641.86 for a belt-related repair and explicitly authorized the work after being advised by technician/manager Rob that this repair would address the issue. The repair did not resolve the noise in any capacity. The same exact sound was immediately apparent upon leaving the lot, at which point I returned to the store. Only then was I informed, for the first time, that the noise was allegedly caused by a transmission issue. Had this information been disclosed prior to authorization, I would not have proceeded with the repair, particularly given that this Firestone location does not service transmissions. The failure to disclose this assessment before performing a costly repair constitutes a serious misrepresentation of services. Equally concerning has been the conduct of Firestone personnel in handling this matter. When I contacted the Bala Cynwyd location regarding my open claim, I was verbally berated by Rob, the same individual directly involved in the underlying issue. He failed to identify himself, spoke over me continuously, and conducted himself in a hostile and unprofessional manner. It is inappropriate for an individual who is the subject of a complaint to be the primary point of contact for its resolution. Since opening this claim, I have contacted Firestone customer service no fewer than ten times. Despite repeated assurances that the matter was escalated—including references to “corporate” and the “President’s line”—I have received no follow-up, no return calls, and no substantive response. This pattern reflects a complete breakdown in customer service and accountability. I am not requesting extraordinary compensation. I am requesting that Firestone acknowledge the facts of this situation, take responsibility for the unnecessary repair, and provide an appropriate resolution. As a long-term Firestone customer, I find this experience deeply disappointing and inconsistent with the standards expected of a national corporation. This is a straightforward consumer issue that should have been addressed promptly and professionally. At minimum, I expect direct communication from an authorized corporate representative empowered to resolve this matter.

Went in for a scheduled appointment, they said I didn't have one. Showed text messages, they didn't give me my appointment. As soon as i left i magically got a text I was rescheduled for 11 months from now. Horrendous service.

I brought my car to this Firestone location on City Line Avenue for routine service, and my experience was extremely disappointing. During my visit, I was quoted a significant amount of money for multiple repairs and replacements that the staff claimed were “suggestions” or “in need.” The issue is that several of these services had already been completed less than one month prior (12/05), I had a receipt in my car for. I just bought windshield wipers next door that same morning, and they told me I needed to buy new ones just to add to the bill. Despite this, the staff continued to highly recommend work, with little explanation as to why recently completed services would suddenly need to be redone... This raised serious concerns about the legitimacy of the recommendations and whether customers are being upsold on unnecessary work! As a customer, I expect transparency, accuracy, and honesty especially when it comes to vehicle safety and high cost repairs. Unfortunately, this experience felt more like a sales pitch/money grab than a trustworthy service assessment. I would strongly advise other customers to get a second opinion before agreeing to any repairs at this location.

Do not come here. They called me out of the blue after an oil change saying I need 2k worth of work done on a brand new car. Took it to my mechanic and all I needed was a 300$ small fix. Absolute scam artists.

The store manager, a women named Lex or Alex, really took the time to find the right tire for my daughter. Truly exceptional level of service where she made several calls to get the tire she thought was a better fit and even got someone to pick up the tires that day.

Had a routine oil change at this Firestone for a turbo Mazda SUV. 5W30 printed on the cap of the engine oil tank and also on the Mazda official manual available online. What was filled and listed on the invoice was "0W-20 PZL FULL SYN" [Penzoil full synthetic oil which is correct for non-turbo Mazda]. Wrong oil was used for the turbo. Notified the store and corporate. Corporate responded, got the polite runaround, and ended up doing nothing about it. So if you have a Mazda, don't bring it to any of the Firestone shops for an oil change. Their database is incorrect and you will receive the wrong oil. This also raised the possibility that their database may be incorrect for other makes.

I came in without an appointment due to a flat I got while driving. I had a very busy. Schedule of meetings and needed the car back asap. They were very accommodating and got me back on the road quicker than I expected with two new tires that were on sale.

Changed my mind (October 2025). I went for the second time, and a staff person (overweight, grey-hair guy) was very rude. I left immediately and went to another place. It is unfortunately, because I had a great experience working with Darío. He was very polite. I wanted to buy tires and get some service. But, forget about it!!!! It's better to go to another place where they value customers. FIRST REVIEW (SUMMER 2025) Excellent service. Dario is very polite.

I’m not sure what any bad reviews could be unless it’s something out the employees control, my fiancé and I have gone to this Firestone for a few years now and we always have an incredible time. From the friendly staff to the helpful communication, this location is the place to go! Thank you for the quick and easy oil change today.

This place is a complete joke. Don’t even think about taking your car there for repairs. They charged me an outrageous $1300 for four tires, and one of them had a nail in it. They fixed the nail, but they also screwed up two sensors and asked me to pay for them. It’s a complete and utter bullshit business. They wasted my time, money and work. Horrible customer service.

New Store Manager: ROB is very customer friendly and this Firestone CARE Center is well managed. Also, he is a careful listeners and will get my cars in good running conditions. I appreciate the excellent customer service. DARIO the front desk representative also makes good service suggestions and helps customers.

Horrible service I was scheduled at 7 AM to get a patch done on my tire. They did not pull me in until 720.. I refuse a courtesy check just for the Macannic to tell me they have to do it so now till 8 o’clock they’re checking underneath underneath the hood the tires, a whole shack on my car just for them to tell me they’re not gonna be able to patch my tires after wasting an entire hour of something that could’ve been told to me as soon as you seen those tires. Also very unprofessional. Please do not come if you don’t want your time wasted. And if you are a girl, just forget about it. Although the Jiffy Lube at the street was great, very professional and nice.

DO NOT GO HERE! I recently got situated in Philly and needed an oil change for my ‘09 Toyota Camry. My dad recommended my local Firestone (Bala Cynwyd) since I would also receive a free alignment and tire rotation due to his account setup/previous purchase of tires at his local Firestone (West Reading). Shortly after dropping off my car, this Firestone called my dad (his number was connected to the account) and told him that they discovered 2k worth of “regular maintenance” during their curtesy check of the car. After discussing what needed to be done, my dad decided to go ahead with this maintenance and updated me on his conversation. He called the shop back that evening before closing to ask some clarifying questions and during this conversation, the catalytic converter was brought up. My dad immediately shifted gears and asked for more clarification on this. And then ironically, the call dropped and my dad was unable to get the worker back on the line since it was after closing and the phone just rang and rang. We decided to call back in the morning (right when they opened) to get more clarification. We also decided to stop all work (at that point nothing had been done) because we didn’t have a good feeling. My dad wanted to take the car to his local Firestone as he has a great relationship with the workers there and trusts their opinions! Well, upon calling back in the morning, we were informed that they started working on the car last night, and the struts had been replaced. 1.5k of work. The most expensive of the maintenance suggestions they made. We paused all other work but my dad was upset because he felt like we didn’t have the “full” picture upon green lighting the maintenance they originally suggested. Their “suspicions” about the catalytic converter weren’t brought up until the second phone conversation. Also - their suspicions were just that, suspicions. They told us this without even having an engine diagnostic done. Long story short, I picked up my car (now with a 1.5k bill) and got it to my dad who took the car to his local Firestone. They did a regular, yearly inspection and found nothing. The car passed and is completely fine. Firestone Bala Cynwyd we feel completely misled. My dad was not communicated with properly (probably on purpose) and it’s simply evident now that this shop was only trying to get money out of us. Just look at the difference in reviews between this shop and West Reading. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Please take all reviews into consideration before coming here.

I love Firestone and have been using them for many years for different vehicles. This is the first time that I scheduled an appointment in advance and dropped my car off at the appointed time for a state inspection and 7 hours later when I happened to return to see if it was ready, my car was still in the same spot and had not been touched. I needed to go to the post office before it closed at 5:30p to pick up certified mail, so I had to take my car. I asked them if I could bring it right back, since the post office was close by, but they told me I wouldn't be able to do that. I love this Firestone location, however, and called the Manager the next day and told him about my experience and that I would still like to get my car serviced there and scheduled an appointment for the ensuing day. My car was ready by 1pm, thankfully, for the next appointment, and they notified me via email. However, when I looked at the invoice they sent me, they had performed an oil change, which I didn't request, as I had gotten one the day prior to the first scheduled appointment. They deducted the cost of the oil change, thankfully. I still like this Firestone because of the location and the long history I have with them, and will continue to take my car there, but I do hope they get their program together, as other customers may not be so forgiving.

I was originally worried to visit a Firestone, but I was immediately put at ease when I spoke to the manager, Rob when I visited. Rob went over my car in detail, didn’t force my hand with repair recommendations, and was accommodating when I elected to do some light repairs over others. The best thing about my visit is Rob was able to offer me financing when I really didn’t have the money at the time! This was a huge help because I didn’t have to pay any interest for half a year, and I had it paid off sitting the first 3 months. Thanks again Rob, I’ll be back!

Dario has really turned this Firestone location around. I’ve had my car serviced here since 2021 so I’ve seen the many store managers who came and went. Dario is the best part of Firestone from service to customer service. He is why I trust Firestone to be a company of integrity and great customer service.

3rd Update: After my last encounter I finally got home (Baltimore) where I went to a Firestone who replaced two more parts that are connected to the alternator! Bringing my total up to $1700+. The service was great by the way! I travel for work so I ended up in Bala again on 5/5/25 where I went back to the Firestone because my engine light came on. When I went in there was gentleman by the name of Jen whose customer service was pleasant! I told him my problem and he actually came out and looked at my car! He agreed that my alternator was bad! He tried to assist me but I believe since I placed this review I was banned! All because of this situation I have now spent over $3000 due to this incident and hotels because I am not from here. I highly recommend not using this location all firestones aren’t bad but this one unfortunately has some bad apples on the team! I will say Jen tried to help and had great customer service! Second Update: had a second mechanic look at the alternator it is defective spoke to a manager named Rob who was really nasty and I recorded the whole thing. I had an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience at this location. My battery light came on, so I went to two nearby places for diagnostic scans before dropping my car off here. Both confirmed my battery was fine, but my alternator was the issue. After leaving my car, I returned to pick it up and noticed a loud screeching sound and a burnt rubber smell when I started it. Assuming the parts needed time to adjust, I went inside to speak with the gentleman at the front desk. He told me the noise was from the serpentine belt. When I asked why this issue wasn’t mentioned during the $500 quote phone call, he had no clear response. When I requested to speak with a manager, he informed me that he was the manager and introduced himself as Dario. He then claimed my battery was bad, which I refuted because I had just purchased the battery and had two scans confirming it was fine before coming to this location. Despite this, he attempted to charge me over $700 in addition to the $1,000 I had already paid, for something that seemed to be caused by their work. After trying to find an understanding, Dario agreed to fix my car without charging for labor, and I accepted. My mechanic, Lou, was supposed to handle it, but they held my car for 10 hours without getting the necessary parts or completing the work. This experience was nothing short of horrible. The staff was untrustworthy, unreliable, and unprofessional. I will not be dealing with this company again and hope this review helps others avoid a similar experience.

Bala Location. Let me begin with the fact that I SCHEDULED an appointment at 3pm. I asked to have my car back as soon as possible. By 5:30pm I had not heard anything from them about my car, so I called them to inquire only for them to tell me it would be ready for closing. They did everyone's car before mine even though I had an appointment. When I arrived at 6:15 to get a better understanding of why a basic oil change was taking this long I saw them JUST bringing my car back. They were rude and demeaning and absolutely tried to take advantage of the fact that I was a female who doesn't know much about cars. Fortunately my best friend walked me through the process of an oil change to understand that I was validated for being livid and taken advantage of. The following day, I called multiple times to reach them because they never reset my light and now I'm even questioning the service. I still have yet to reach them and they are now closed. UPDATE: I even reached out to the email that they left me to contact due to the inconveniences and followed up the email weekly... I still have yes to receive a response.

I spoke to Anthony the district manager on 3/19/25 regarding 4 new tire purchases and he told me a different price for a state inspection that was different for when I entered the store today. The initial conflict began when I first entered the store. Rob(Store Manager) greeted me and I told him I had an appointment for 9am for an inspection. He then looks at his computer and then says oh ok you have an appointment for 9am from drop off. I told him No, the appointment was to be a waiting appointment. I told him I said that to the person I spoke with. He then says he was the person I spoke to, which didn't make much sense; since i spoke to him, he would know i was waiting which was the whole reason why he rescheduled my appointment from 8am to 9am because it was going to be a wait appointment and he might not have am 8am technician but he knew his 9am technician would be there by 9am. He then says ok well it would be 3 to 4 hours before it would be inspected and I then confronted him with I originally had an 8am appointment and I should've kept that appointment. He then says oh well No the inspection takes that long. I said no an inspection doesn't take that long and he says yes an inspection takes about 3 hours. So I said ok, I should've come in earlier cause I would be ahead of anyone else and he said No one is ahead of me but the inspection takes 3 hours. He (store manager Rob) then tells me a different price and I said"oh, I was told a different price when I spoke to Anthony" Rob then goes into a whole thing of how it's this price and then asks me do I want to do the inspection. I tell him yes I want to do the inspection. I tell him he is very combative. He then tells me I'm the one being combative. I said look how you are talking to me, this isn't customer service and This is combative. He then says I need to refuse this inspection. I said you need to refuse the inspection for what? He says cause I've been yelling at him. I said no I'm not yelling, you're just being combative. I left the store without getting my inspection and I am outraged at how I was treated after just buying 4 new tires on 3/20/25. Rob you are the worst store manager and you need to be FIRED!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I am 6 hours into my 2 hour appointment window and my car just pulled into the garage. I'm sure you could find a better shop within 10 minutes of here, I know that's what I'll be doing next time. A person can only watch so many consecutive episodes of SVU before they go insane. Why even have appointments?

I scheduled an inspection for middle of the month. A day before the appointment, I hit something in the road and needed 2, maybe 4, new tires. I called to see if they had tires and Ray confirmed that they had the tires and it would take about 2 hours as long as I didn't have inspection issues. The car passed inspection, but I had to wait 5.75 hours for 4 tires to be changed. I watched people that came in after me get their cars back. I went by the car bay and the car was up in the rack for 3 hours where I didn't see anyone working on the car. I have been going here for 20+ years. They were ago to place for a quick, honest inspection and tire service. Very disappointed.

Please Stay Away! Please read before going to this place. Two months ago I went to get my front passenger tire fixed due to a bad valve. The tires were replaced not so long ago so the tires had warranty. Surprisingly, they found a nail in the tire said that was not possible to be repaired. They charged 100+ for a brand new one and for "labor cost". Two weeks ago I got a flat tire again and checked the valve stem and it was still broken. Today I went to the shop and did not mentioned that I had a broken valve and checked the tire beforehand for any damage. Two hours later they called me back saying that the tire had a nail near the edge (same exact problem from the previous visit) and that the brand new tire had to be replaced. I went to the shop and as I moved the valve stem it was still broken and leaking air. The mechanic staff acted nervous and surprised when I told them that it was a shame that they did not find this in the first place and that they were doing a scam. Firestone, please be careful with this shop because if this continues, you are going to lose business in the future.
