There's an employee by the name of Greg who was incredibly rude that works here, he'll hang up with you for no reason, when you call back he has a very bad attitude. No wonder this store has such a bad reputation. Very poor customer service

Some of the nicest gentlemen I have ever met. We came by on a whim to try to get my grandmothers battery to start. After replacing the battery which is what I asked for initially. They spent the extra time helping us get the car started despite it being very late at night and dark. Very generous people, very kind. Would absolutely recommend. Specifically Greg was very kind, and another gentleman who I forgot to get the name of.

I called in this morning for some information on car batteries. Spoke with Greg I explained my situation he was very helpful. He gave me some options. I put my existing battery on trickle charge per his advise. Was able to get it charged enough to get it to the store. He helped me as soon as I got there. He installed the new battery extremely quickly and did a great job. This employee exemplifies a great employee. Extremely helpful, very nice and went out of the way to make the battery swap easy. Thank you Greg and thank you Advance Auto.

Purchased a battery from this location. Was told to bring up the old battery and they would recycle it and provide $20. Went out of my way to bring the battery for them to just say no we are not doing that right now. I asked a few questions and when they would maybe do it again they knew nothing said nothing and were super unhelpful

This place is a joke. Nobody knows what they're doing. Go to Napa. It's cheaper and service is way better.

One of the best customer service experiences I can remember. I came in Sunday morning and John was working by himself. Despite a constant flow of customers, John still took the time to test and replace my car battery. He was helpful and knowledgeable with all customers, which was very impressive considering the number of different people he was assisting. I highly recommend AAP after this experience.

EXTREMELY LAZY AND NOT HELPFUL AT ALL!!! I’m in a wheelchair now, so I can’t show my mom where to put the antifreeze fluid in so I told my mom ask the guy in advance auto after you buy some and maybe he’ll come out and show you. But he decided to tell my mom “he trusts that she can do it right and good luck”! There were two guys in the store and not a single customer other than her This is the second time they’ve done that shit. They’re extremely lazy and don’t help you with anything it’s not like she even asked him to do it for her.

Most of the workers are very determined to help you. As long as you're willing to answer the questions they need, they'll do what they can to get you what you need. Good employees, convenient location, almost always open.

Great selection and service. Needed wiper blades and decided to stop rather than order online. They had a wide selection, looked up the correct blades for my van in less than 1 minute and installed the blades for free. No worries about ordering the incorrect blades or needing to return them.

Had to go in for some wipers and Josh was SO helpful! I always get scared asking men for help bc they have made me feel dumb in the past. NOT there but other places. He even came out and installed them for me! Thank you so much Josh! I hope you see this because you need to know how great you are! Keep up the awesomeness 😎

I have come to this location two times in several months for various bulbs for my vehicle and each time I was given the wrong information. Most recently, last weekend, I needed something to pass inspection, again, the part recommended was incorrect. How does this happen when there is literally a database right in front of you? The young girl helping us reassured us this was correct after we told her what happened the last time. Both times I asked the associates if they needed to see my vehicle to confirm and they confidently declined. I have now spent close to $100 which they won't refund without a phone number or receipt. This is 2024. How is this place operational? UPDATED 8/14/24: Added a star because after my review, a manager did reach out to me within a day. I honestly did not have time to reply, but was impressed with the responsiveness. I also fortunately found my receipt from my the second and most expensive purchase several weeks later, and WAS actually able to return those bulbs. (The first purchase I had to trash as I made the mistake of opening it and tossing the receipt, being optimistic the correct part was recommended the first time.) I did notice when I returned the sign on the door stating no returns had also been removed. Not sure if this had anything to do with it, but it is still insane to me that was even a business practice. When I explained the return to the associate, he didn't question me per se...but he looked up my vehicle again with what I had said I needed which was a fog light for my Subaru, and then showed me the screen, which did in fact, display the incorrect product- the product that Mr. Tire sent me right back across the parking lot to exchange for the correct one that they had to write down and I had to ask for specifically. This tells me that their directory is either not accurate or associates aren't trained in searching correctly. Hopefully they continue to work on things here. This is actually my first ever Google review. I figured after 3 issues in a row I needed to speak up.

Staff has always been helpful. Suspected a battery issue and the staff member tested my battery and saw that the issue was due to a loose connection - which saved me from buying a battery. I always look for businesses that focus more on serving and helping the customer over trying to sell products. They understand that the former leads to the latter as they will get my continued business.

I've never had any issues at this place any time I have come here. With that being said, last week, I needed a new battery. The service I received went above and beyond the call of duty. I normally change out my batteries myself, but the old battery was so corroded that the cables attached to the battery were stuck on. What normally is a 5 min job, took 20 mins just to get the damn battery out! He never once complained about all the extra work and effort it took to do the basic task and was very informant on topics/questions I asked pertaining to my car. Battery was changed out with them taking the old one, free of charge.

My experience was overall a positive one. I came in to get window shield cleaner because someone passing me on the highway threw a drink and hit my car. It was hard to get off but with the products that I was advised to get to clean the mess off my window shield...IT WORKED! I also, was able to get a little something for my car (Air Force emblem) to attached to my bumper. The staff is VERY knowledgeable of their products like replacing headlights and regular maintenance on a vehicle in general. I drive from LEBANON to SHREWSBURY because they don't oversell products and don't give me the run around on what I need and straight to the point as I like it for customer service. Thank you for helping me with keeping my car in proper running order. -Fancy

Brian was SUPER helpful and friendly this morning! I was told by the guy that came to jump my car that my battery was completely shot and I would need a new one. When I came to advance auto, Brian tested my battery, told me it looked good and then asked me to wait for 15 minutes to let it charge and then tested again. He told me I was good to go and saved me so much money! Nothing like a good honest Employee to start your day off right! I will definitely purchase my battery here once it is dead and be back for any car part needs.

Majority of the time, the clerks are decent. But there are a few employees that clearly know nothing about cars, trucks, or parts. My main gripe with this location, is the fact online they offer discounts, but my store location never has it in. So you must call and order said part. Then you cant use your discounts. It wouldnt be that big of a deal if the prices werent higher then majority of their competition. So the online discounts make it break even in that regard.

I purchased a car battery here. The staff was courteous. If you can go during daytime hours, I'd recommend it; at the time, it seemed like 5pm came around and EVerybody came in after work! The got busy quick! Employees weren't addled, they politely and efficiently worked their way through the line. The manager himself changed my battery for me right then and there and, hauled off the dead one. A pleasure to do business with.

I visited the Shrewsbury PA store on 5/4/21 and the salesman John Zak was so rude. He greeted me with “what do you need?” I handed him my items I wished to purchase, car fresheners, and he replied “Is that all?” I told him I also needed up pick up an online order. He gave me my order, snatched my $20 and put my change on counter despite my hand out to retrieve it. I am an African American woman and he treated me as if blacks weren’t welcome in the establishment. I normally get my parts from Napa and I’m sorry I switched up this time. Never again.

Do NOT buy a battery from this company. If you loose your receipt you battery warranty is worthless. We bought a DieHard Gold about 4 months ago and if we can't find the receipt it will be our biggest paperweight. The battery is in perfect condition on the outside and has not been dropped or scuffed. The battery has a manufacture date of 06/20. I was told this is their corporate policy so be warned. If you do buy a battery from Advanced put your receipt in the safe.

FREE BATTERY INSTALLATION? NOPE! I ordered a Battery online, for pickup at Shrewsbury, because the website, and sign in the store window, states they offer FREE INSTALLATION, but I come to the store to pick up my battery, which I had to charge all day to get it to start again, and the guys behind the counter tell me "No". If I make a purchase based on a company policy of free installation, but the store refuses, I think that's terrible customer service. I'm sorry my battery died on a cold day, but that seems to be pretty standard for this weather. If the store doesn't want to install a battery I just paid $150 for, then tell me before I buy it and I'll take my business next door to Walmart.

My car battery died and I had to get a jump just to get down to this Advance Auto store to purchase a new one. The young lady there tested my battery to make sure it was bad, gave me three different options for a new one, and let me use a nice cart they had there to swap it out myself. She would have swapped it for me if I could have waited until another employee to arrive, but I really had to get to work myself. I ended up doing it and it went great. They let me use the employee washroom to wash my hands afterwards and then I just went to work. Everyone I encountered in the store was super nice and trustworthy. I'll definitely return there should I need something in the future - a no pressure environment where people just seem to want to help you.

They need more employees. The line for cashier was 6 people long. Also the book for oil filter selection was missing, I had to Google the one I needed then have the clerk verify correct fitment. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly.
