Why do they say free

I had trouble finding a dump near me and this place was a success! Pros: It is a dump that I can bring stuff. Easy access from Rt 81. Cons: Minimum $50 to dump regardless of weight, Distance from ledge to dumpsters to throw items in. Larger/heavier items were somewhat difficult to heave.

The signage and website say the hours are until 3:30pm Monday - Friday. I showed up at 2:50 on 10/2 and was turned away. A rude voice from the scale booth say 2:30 is closing. I went on the website and did an hours edit suggestion, looks like it went through. Next step would be to change the signs at the road. 6/26/2024 A pleasant crew at the landfill...thank you

Shady business. The scale in and out was 1900 lbs and they charged me for 2400lbs. No tire wash station and it takes forever to up to the top. Won’t be giving these guys my business again.

This is not so much about the operations here but rather something that many residents have been complaining about. The smell is PUTRID. It reaches all the way to the other side of Throop, Dunmore, and the surrounding communities. DEP notified them that they violated an act by failing to contain the odor. If you drive by it the smell makes itself known. The landfill needs to get their stuff together and fix this terrible stench.

Nice and organized landfill. It may take a couple mins (5-8) to get to your dumping area up the hill, but overall nice establishment.

This place is an absolute joke, the operators literally talk dirt on you because they’re protected by the machine. Go over to alliance and save yourself some time and frustration.

I have been to this land fill many times - Never an Idea where to go they give no directions and when you do figure out where to think u should be the guy on the ground is an A HOLE - the ground is covered in Rock Large Rock and tires are expensive this places is happy to take your money but gives NO SERVICE

Just took a load to the hand unloading station and it was seamless and easy. The guard at the front was very helpful as I stopped for some simple direction having never been to the landfill. He didn’t treat me poorly even though the process was as simple as he stated. The scale clerk was also very polite and I thought I would have to pay more but the price was pro-rated so I only paid a small amount past $50 for having most of my kitchen floor in my truck bed. I would highly recommend this process to anyone looking to get rid of bulk materials. Lastly, the hand unloading station was clean, and relatively easy to unload into. If you’re a bit older or have trouble lifting heavier things because of injury bring someone with you. Thanks Keystone Landfill!

Good landfill. It was my first time. BUT I dont appreciate being yelled at by everyone on the grounds. The truck I was in doesn't have a radio. Even so it's not grounds for the stinking attitudes I got......except from the person at the scale.

I have a pick up truck not a dump truck. There is only one container provided for handloaders. I stood in the bed of my truck and flung my junk over a wall and across a two or three foot gap to get it into a container. I've gone to places more conveniently allowed you to shove your junk onto the ground or drop your tailgate and shove your material off your bed into a below the ground container. What they provided was extremely tedious to unload. I couldn't drop my tailgate and the container wall was higher than my tailgate in the up position. I am definitely going to see what else is available than this place.

It's a dump. Fair prices. If you hand unload, use the dumpster to the right, nit far from the entrance. You will be lost up top, plus not necessary to go up there. It's like 20 minutes or more round trip too. I made the mistake. I did get a good look at the place, and it's operation. It's impressive

The people who say it doesn’t smell, obviously don’t live near.

The Denaples should be ashamed for how they’ve maintained this over the years. All they ever cared about is money.

Been here a couple times despite the high price I have a full size pickup and a 20 ft trailer i was not allowed in at 230 the last time I went because I was a "hand unloader" im in and out of landfills all the time and this one has lost my business. Im sure it won't affect them but I can't bring myself to go to a place that turns you away an hour b4 they close

Allowing less people to wait inside at a time and requiring a mask would be a great step to taking necessary precautions during a pandemic.

Great customer service. I called there and the lady on the phone was so nice to me. She made me feel like I've known her for years! Prices are affordable too. I thought Id be paying a ton, but instead I'm paying by the ton. "Mom jokes"

One of the top 5 things NEPA is known for and its biggest import! Now that’s something to be proud of! I know I am! Realistically though, it’s a good place to dump your garbage.
