After a frustrating experience elsewhere, I came to this Advance Auto Parts location and had exactly the service I expect when dealing with car parts and maintenance. I explained that I needed my battery checked because I believed it was bad. The associate was extremely professional, tested it right away, and confirmed the battery was indeed bad.
They were honest, knowledgeable, and helpful in discussing replacement options, and the battery was changed out with ease. They also took the time to answer every question I had, including checking pricing on another part and testing my starter and alternator just to be safe.
The associate was patient, thorough, and clearly knew what they were doing. This is the level of service I expect when I walk into an auto parts store, and it’s the reason I’ll be returning to this location.
My 1 star rating is because of AAP's purchasing and ordering process that I seem to go through every time I purchase even a basic automotive item while attempting to get the reasonable price you claim to offer.
Also, the Perk Rewards process and other discounts they offer are always restrictive, challenging, conflicting, and rarely give me a feel good shopping experience afterwards.
Here are a few of my gripes...
1) Oil and filters and batteries have never been allowed to apply the 15% or 20% discounts that are offered through the constant spamming of emails I receive from you. You do offer bundles of the filters and oil together on occasion and try to discount it that way, but I'm not overly impressed when i only need oil or just a filter. And sometimes, the oil i need, is not what's bundled.
2) I had $40 worth of perk points from purchasing 2 batteries at AAP over past few weeks. The perk points came in $5 and $10 chunks to be used each on a per order basis and only able to use through the online app. Seems stupid that I canNOT apply the perk points earned to an instore purchase. Anyway, I wanted the perk points combined to make one large online purchase. I had to contact customer service to get this done. They combined them to two $20 perk points to be applied toward two separate orders. It made it a little easier, but still didn't make sense to me why it had to be this way. ?? And it was another extra step and phone call. Ridiculous :(
3) Even with the perk points and any discount offerings that AAP offers on name brand shelf items, including oil and filters, etc, I can purchase through Walmart and/or Amazon at the same or less price in most situations with far less confusion and difficulties, and it usually includes free delivery.
4) Bottom line, I've spent way to much time trying to get the discounts and deals for any of my automotive purchases at AAP and it shouldn't be this difficult and time consuming. Quit the pricing shenanigan's and offer a good product at a consistent, competitive, and fair price. The perk points and discounting crap you use is broken. If you don't know it, fix it. If you don't care, see ya.

They treat you well but I just picked a wrong day SATURDAY. called ahead to find that they had my air filter in stock, got there to wait a while. But walked out because a gentleman in line did not get behind me in line but started a new line to try to cheat in front of me. Sorry just got frustrated because some customers are quite rood or don't pay attention.
The staff was very professional and got us what we needed effectively. What's more, they took time to make sure we knew pertinent information and services that were offered.
Competent, clean, and professional.
Now let me tell you about this place. I usually don't give chain stores 5 stars as it's usually not necessary but in this case I will give dues where are dues needed. This place went above and beyond with their service and customer attention. I was made to feel as I mattered as a customer and I think that's what really counts. It doesn't matter if it's a chain store or local mom and pop store.

Needed a headlight bulb. Man looked up my year, make, and model. He went and grabbed the correct bulb, I paid. Went home, installed bulb, works great. Eezy Peezy, just how I like it.
Went in with a starter out of my boat and the manager Scott told me that he wouldnt help me because I didnt have a year make and model of a car. Wont ever go back to this store. He tried making me look like and idiot in front of a store full of people........ Good luck
Decent. Has a pretty good selection of products. Everything from air fresheners to actual car parts to just about any fluids you can think of for vehicles. Usually pretty clean. However, prices on certain items are a little bit high. Coolant and washer fluid are two examples. They even had them on sale and walmarts prices were still lower. I did find some floor mats and seat covers for good prices. I appreciate that they have different power steering and transaxle fluids for different brands (Ford, Chevy, Chrysler, Asian made cars, European cars etc. Etc) it was convenient.
I have dealt with this business several times now and have always been happy. Whether buying, returning, or picking up from an online purchase, I have always had great service and the parts are quality. I needed a code read the one time and not only did they do it for free, they gave me all the information I needed to further research the code and figure out what was wrong with it.
Not very friendly. Purchased wipers that were sold as new but were used. Instructions missing along with part to fit wiper on along with dirt. I think I'll go to a different auto store from now on.

Reconsider installation costs of remanufactured parts with a seemingly high failure rate.
They offer a good warranty at a lower price than new dealer part, but you often get what you pay for.
Having to replace a starter or alternator miles from home may take a lot away from a bargain price.
I was in a real bind. Visiting family, in from Pittsburgh. Sunday before labor day, old Saab fuel pump gave up in a restaurant parking lot. I knew that nobody would have the whole pump assembly, which is the only option that "fits your car", but that some normal pumps could be swapped into the old housing.
The guys at the desk helped to narrow down what might work, and pulled a few out for me to compare. They understood that I knew something their software didn't. They're into cars, they understood what I was saying, and they wanted to help figure this one out.
After an hour of work, I was back on the road! This was an oddball situation, I was in a tight spot, but I got a quality part that I was able to make work, and the price was fair.
Tend to always be waiting along time on every visit not alot of people are very knoledgable some workers are when you call seems like your always holding seems like they just need more staff
Went there the other night 30 minutes before they we're supposed to close. Lights were on but the door was locked. I tried to call but no answer. Apparently they can't even stay open for the posted hours. Will take my business elsewhere.
I have had multiple issues with this store. Asked an older man if I could have a battery tested. He said they were too busy and couldn't do it. Wife purchased new headlights and the same man would not help her with that either. So much for service. Guess I'll go to Auto Zone.
These guys are AWESOME. I was riding up from Virginia and the mounts that hold the exhaust to the bike cracked. I got off 222 and found these guys. They were nice enough to fix the problem even though they were busy. Thank you for helping me get home.
