My boyfriend needed to have a car junked due to a notice from the borough. After another local business ghosted us three times, he shopped around. He called Hartlaub’s around 8:30, and they told him they’d call him back as soon as they talked to the driver. Within 30 minutes, he not only got a call back, but the driver showed up with a rollback. Everyone was super friendly and willing to help, so I would highly recommend this place.

Friendly, funny, efficient. Lots of 99-07 silverado parts. Got a grade A complete door for 150 and a hard to find oem camper mirror for $60. Seems to be a good collection of dodge and Ford trucks as well. I did not visit the automotive side but saw a lot of jeeps.

If I could give this place an absolute ZERO I would we drove 5 + hours to pick up a transmission and when we arrived they had no idea what we were talking about and then after they saw we were getting frustrated from driving 5 + hours to pick up this specific transmission they said oh looks like we sold it last week which frustrated us even more a simple phone call saying hey looks like that transmission that you were after is no longer available would have saved us a lot of gas and a lot of time driving fortunately there was a great junkyard not too far away in Maryland called Stokes that was able to accommodate us and thank God had the same transmission we were after so for anybody in the Gettysburg area I would strongly recommend taking the extra drive to Maryland and go to Stokes instead five stars for them and if I could give ZERO Stars I would give ZERO stars to Hartlaubs

i see a lot of people making reviews on here about harshness. the salvage business is brutal and many customers prey on your kindness. the honesty here is. they have great prices and their organized parts are out of this world. their engines are kept inside and not rotting in cars with hoods up. so far, ive had many customers use their parts and everyone has been satisfied. 5.3 and 4.8 ls engines. 500.00?complete with computers. not even the you pull it offers that.

Made the 3.5 hour drive from Virginia to pick up a rear end for our duramax. Honest people, and a quick transaction and we are back on the road with the part we needed to fix our truck. Thank you Hartlaubs!

Do not buy a transmission from these people! We drove only a couple hundred miles on one we got from them and paid them just shy of $400 then called them and asked if they would at least replace and his answer was simply “nope”. Buyer beware!!

Bought a pair of Mazda 3 OEM wheels. They were in good condition and a great price. The whole place was well organized and they found the wheels promptly.

Not very customer friendly on the phone. My wife called and then I called 2 days later to confirm the part was there. After we were both told they had the part we drove nearly 2 hours to get it. Once there the man said he hasn't had the part in some time. I told him I had just called 2 hours earlier and was told they did have it. I even went as far as to confirm the correct phone number. He just walked behind the counter and mumbled something. Lucky another salvage yard in the area had the part I needed so it wasn't a wasted trip. And as if my experience wasn't bad enough, I got a flat tire a couple miles down the road where I discovered I had picked up a nail. While I can't say for sure it came from there... It certainly didn't make things any better. Honestly the service was just disappointing. The place seemed very well organized and you can tell they take pride in the appearance. It reminded me of my great grandfathers salvage yard. I hope he was just having a bad day.

I called about fenders multiple times and they have been honest about the condition of the fenders they have given me great prices. It's a great place to go. And my go to junk yard. They have newer vehicles and have almost anything I need.

Found the vehicle i was looking for online at carparts. Showed up to check in at the office and told him what i was looking for. He responded with “your just nosing around, im not letting you in my yard, your just nosing” and told me to leave. i confirmed i was not quote; nosing, by showing him pictures and stating that i brought money. He then agreed to let me in if i put my tools back (states no where that your not supposed to bring any) Wandered around struggling to find what i was looking for. all around bad business. C.D cains right next door is 10x better and worthwhile.

I bought a transmission on June 8 ,2023 received it for pick up like 3 day later ….to make a long story short transmission didn’t get put in for a month and a half later, I thought I had a 101 day warranty, unfortunately I did not; “I understand business” so I called the Gentleman sam told me to bring it back they had another one for half price ,got their after a 2 Hour Drive., not only did they not have it, but I was met with the attitude of not my problem even though I spent four hours round-trip $500 to have it put in $500 to have it removed and was only given $100 refund with an attitude of not my problem. Not to mention the 10 quarts of transmission fluid down the drain that was over $100 as well plus the diesel fuel I burned to get there . this is not how you treated? This is not how I treat customers. I will not be returning.

Folks, even though I have to drive 47mi. to get to Hartlaub's Auto Parts to get the parts I need I don't mind it. Sam the owner is the best to deal with. Their prices are great and Sam along with his employees are very helpful with the parts you need. They always have the parts I need , now keep in mind these are used parts from other vehicles. Stop by and say hello with your car or pickup truck needs. You will be glad you did.

Not recommended, called to confirm the motor we wanted was in stock and ready to go, and were told it was by the owner, and then drove 1.5 hours there to pickup and was told they just sold it to somebody else that morning after we just spoke on the phone. when asked why the owner just said it must of been his son and "what are the odds" and then left to take a phone call.

I recently purchased a driver's side door for my 2012 equinox. The staff was very very helpful!! They even had the exact color I needed! This will be my go to Parts place in this area.

I'm going to be honest on this I don't usually make reviews for salvage yards but the service that I received from this is by far worth the review customer service is great the overall smooth transition of things from transaction to loading up was awesome even got help loading it up and at first I was unsure about condition of my motor that I bought but can actually say that there are no worries now. Ran the motor for five and a half hours straight with extensive testing to it motor runs absolutely fine I went off on a limb here and came from North Carolina to this one on a limb and do not regret it, will be using Sam again thanks yall

Been dealing with Mr Sam and his guys for many years myself and the company I use to work for also uses them . Great people. & Honest. Where else can you buy a motor with 38,000 miles on it for $500.00 .

Came here for a new motor after mine blew in my car. The staff was amazing and had the engine pulled very quickly. Got the new engine in and my car started right up. They also gave a warranty, which you dont always get. Will definitely use them again if need be. Thanks guys!

They had exactly what we needed & had it ready for us when we got there. Very reasonable prices on parts. (We bought a rim & a used tire for use as a spare.) The only drawback, in my opinion, is that they need a sign out on the main road letting you know where they are. Their address says they're on "Beck Rd.", but there's no Beck Rd off the main road. (Rt. 116 E)

This place is cleaner than my local Hospital! Hard to believe this is a salvage yard. The people were extremely friendly, the yard was well organized and clean! They even drove me around to look at the parts. I got my very hard to find pick up box and it was in good condition. They even helped me load it. They had acres of cars and trucks in a safe and organized setting. It was worth the ride!

We recently had to purchase an engine for a customer. It was a very seamless transaction. We called to verify the availability and specs. They were confirmed. Made the payment over the phone and had some one pick it up the next morning. I would highly recommend doing business with them.

This is my favorite salvage yard, it has a wide variety of vehicles with most of there parts on them in great condition. The yard layout is clean, organized, and a pleasure to work in. The owner is a no BS kind of guy. Know exactly what you want off what you want and expect to pay 1/10 of what a new part would could give or take on his mood and if he thinks you're alright. If this is your first time going don't rush the yard with the tools you'll get on the owner's bad side see him before and after you find your parts. ( believe this is to guests from pulling parts they don't have the money for ) Customer service is their weakness but it isn't what I come there for either... even still the owner was kind enough to bring the car on a fork lift to me and impact gun all the parts off for me for no additional charge...
