Here's a review about a museum: The museum was a fascinating place, filled with incredible exhibits that really brought history to life. I was particularly impressed by the interactive displays, which made learning so engaging. The layout was easy to navigate, and there was a great variety of artifacts to see. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for an enriching experience!

This is a Wonderful Museum and it's even better when you have the BEST Tour Guide ever - Yolanda Arnold (She used to work at the museum). While these black folks went through HELL, they INSPIRED me and showed me things always work better when we work together. If you have never seen this museum; this is a MUST SEE especially for Black people in America. Peace and Blessings Always

Sad history captured and finally being told to the world! Please fact check and verify and explore this museum about Another Black Experience that is not fully discussed in any history class... very sad! Also not sure if African Americans own this museum... interesting?! And please consider adding Nicodemus Kansas to the Midwest overview of the Black Economic Development Education! I really liked my experience. It doesn't sugarcoat, and exposes a reality hard to take in, which I appreciate. Staff was very welcoming and helpful.

Educational and heart breaking. I had setup a self-guided tour for my wife and I using Google Maps to locate sites we could walk to and compare photos from then and now. To do that after visiting this museum was so helpful. If you like museums and history the way we do, you could be in there for 2 hrs or so just reading, reflecting, and taking it all in. They did such an incredible job in their layout and presentation of everything. Go as fast or as slow as you wish... but this was left out of our history books during my time in school. And too bad, because this massacre (not a race riot) should be taught in schools. I'd encourage people to visit this museum and then the local shops just up on the next block.

Very well done museum . We visited on a trip to Tulsa for a concert. We had heard of the Greenwood Massacre and Black Wallstreet on a TV special. The museum was inspiring, informative, and thought provoking. I am glad that places like this exist to document the past and present. Keep up the good work and continue to rise up.

Excellent museum overall. As soon as we entered, the staff gave us a warm and educational welcome to this deeply emotional space. The transition between each gallery was seamless. The variety of interactive pieces was great. The overall telling of this dark part of Tulsa history was immensely impactful. It leaves you with a lot of information and productive next steps for how to incorporate your learnings into your own community. This is a museum that everyone living locally or just visiting should make a point of stopping by.

I traveled from San Antonio, Texas to Tulsa to spend some time with my sister, who now lives there. Black Wall Street was the number one place we all wanted to visit. I knew about the history and the horror of what happened, but I was not prepared for how deeply Greenwood Rising would move me. From the moment I walked in, I could feel the weight of what happened here—the injustice, the cruelty, the loss. As I walked its halls, the air felt thick with sorrow, pride, and strength. I found myself heartbroken, and proud all at once. The injustice laid bare here is impossible to ignore. Tears came easily. Anger did too. But what stayed with me most wasn’t the pain. The greater story behind the museum is love—unyielding, radiant love—from those who survived and those who now speak their truth with grace. The love in the faces of those who lived through the horror, the love in the voices of the people who tell their stories today. Their strength, their grace, their resilience… it’s breathtaking. Walking through Greenwood Rising felt like standing inside a living prayer. The beauty of Greenwood isn’t in what was destroyed, but in what endures—the human spirit, luminous and unbroken.This is not just a museum - it's a heartbeat made visible. It’s not just history—it’s spirit. It’s survival. It’s proof that love can rise even from ashes. An excellent museum, presenting the tragic events that occurred in Tulsa in a very good educational and learning way.

Greenwood Rising may be the most important museum to visit in Tulsa. Located in a neighborhood once called Black Wall Street, it tells the story of the brutal Tulsa Massacre where the White community killed and destroyed a historically Black neighborhood over a misunderstanding. The museum does a superb job of talking about what led to the massacre, what happened during, and after. At the end, it invites you to play an active role in reconciliation. The museum cost $15 for adults and gives discounts to students, the elderly, veterans, etc. Once inside, you'll watch a short video before exploring six galleries. Each one has a mix of photos, videos, artifacts, and more. They also warn you of any sensitive material like a KKK gown.

Residents of Oklahoma, visitors from out of state...this is a must see. Great way to be educated about the dangers of othering others. Anytime someone tries to pit us against an arbitrary them, it'san issue. Thoughtful educational displays with powerful immersive experiences. I didn't realize how entrenched the continuation of indentured servitude was thanks to "Slave Codes."

While visiting a friend in Tulsa, I took some time to go to this museum. Knowing generally what happened there, this tight experience (probably could do it in an hour) , gave a lot of context and insight.

Engaging staff and informative. The museum is beautifully put together which made for an excellent day trip. The images are powerful. I also enjoyed the interactive barbershop display.

Beauuuutiful museum! Purchasing tickets ahead is not necessary at all. Kind of small but still took us a little over an hour to see it all and read literally everything. I didnt grow up in Oklahoma so I learned a lot. They're very conscious of sensitivities and triggers to visitors. The bathrooms are also very nice! The "store" could use some help though. Would've loved to support local black artists and buy some merch.

One of the best museums I've ever been to. Beautiful displays and told the story so well. Was truly a learning experience. I would recommend making sure you have time to read everything and really let the whole experience resonate with you.

It was a lot of information and history. While I learned a lot, it was very disheartening. I love the tribute they have paid, but I wish more was done. I donated to the museum as it is there to preserve the history of the massacre.

Great experience first hand account start to finish of the legendary district On Greenaood, Archer, and Pine in Tulsa. Lots of Valuable information & pictures of this tragedy never recognized on USA soil. The will to win is definitely displayed remarkable & brilliance cannot be forgotten.

The Greenwood Rising Black Wall St. History Center is a very well done tribute to the people victimized by the mayhem and murder that decimated the Greenwood community in 1921. We came over from Dallas and discovered this wonderful remembrance museum while walking the Greenwood neighborhood. Am so glad we decided to stop in. The History Center is an excellent curation and presentation that is quite successful in its ability to evoke the array of sentiments, including a personal call to commitment to actions to ensure the people and the families who lost everything are never forgotten.

This is an excellent museum! It is very contemporary and features very interesting and informative exhibits, photographs, and halograms. There is a variety of antiques and an interesting short film. This was the highlight of our trip to Tulsa! If you've never visited this museum, I strongly recommend that you visit! You won't be disappointed!

It was such a humbling experience that hats off to Tulsa for educating the public on the massacre that happened in 1921. It's surprising to hear that there are people who were born and raised and lived in Tulsa their entire life, never knowing about the history of the what happened in Greenwood.

The exhibits are incredibly immersive and do an amazing job of educating visitors about the Tulsa Race Massacre of 1921. You really feel the weight of the history as you walk through—it’s emotional, thought-provoking, and so well done. I do wish the museum space was a little larger, but I understand this is just the beginning. It’s a vital part of our history, and I’m grateful a place like this exists to tell the story. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Tulsa.

Love this museum. You experience so many emotions visiting this place & seeing moments of past history.Hard to believe that a person could treat another human being so horribly. The Greenwood Rising Black Wall Street History Center is beautifully designed and does an excellent job of educating visitors about the truth and history of Greenwood. Despite the tragic nature of this event, the museum/history center uses modern technology to present a crucial moment in Black history. Their visual presentations are impactful and resonate with individuals of all ages. I would have loved to have an experience like this when I was in school. The self-guided tour takes about an hour and is worth the trip to Tulsa alone!
