Went in today for issues with my car and they were incredibly kind and helpful in figuring out what was going on. Highly recommend going to Franks. Will definitely come back in the future!

We're new to the area and we're glad we decided to give Frank's a chance based off reviews online. They're reliable, honest and trustworthy. We will definitely be taking our vehicles back here!

Gross cash only hustle, inappropriate signage, but they still tow employee cars from local businesses. Frank's Employee: "we have pictures of the vehicle / signs where you were parked" I asked to see them and he replied "well not on me" I then showed them my pictures of the parking space with no signage. Franks employees: "Those spaces are for employees of the local businesses" I replied "That's what I am and that's why I parked there" Can't help but think the repair bills aren't cutting it these days so they resort to towing after hours. Reputable repair shop or small town scam? I'm sure the local PD gets a nice cut too ?

Great service! Reasonable prices! My CV joint broke. I called franks to schedule a tow and diagnostic and they were able to pick it up and give me an exact price the same day and I was able to pick my car up the next day! They are super friendly as well. Ive already got my car scheduled to go back to them for another issue im having.

I recently had my Jeep Patriot worked on by Frank's, and I am so happy and impressed with the work as well as the staff. I am familiar with the business before they moved into a new location, and had always heard positive things about them, but this was my first time utilizing their services. Safe to say, it will not be my last. The turnaround time on the repairs was significantly better than I had expected, and the price was more than fair. They were also able to recommend a couple of optional services to help my vehicle, and I did not feel at any time that they were pushing or upselling, just simply making a non-automotive inclined customer aware of some options that may help. I will be recommending Frank's to anyone who asks, and will continue to happily support a local business.

We were in town for parents weekend and our starter went out at 7pm on Sunday- they were the only place that could tow us- Ben was amazing fast pick up! Great service- thank you

Parents weekend and we have to money grab, great company. Please improve your service because at this point, service is horrible!

Frank, since you've incorrectly recalled who I am, I will fill you in. First off, I will admit that we incorrectly parked at the otherwise empty CVS parking lot. Fair play. That being said, I am not the person you are assuming. Myself and my family were walking to a park as we saw your crew and trucks pull into CVS. I started running towards our car to get it moved, when (im assuming you) told your employee hurry up and get the Dolly on our tire so that you could extort us for $60. You saw me running towards the car, decided to be a prick, and therefore have gotten a one star review from me. Was I in the wrong for parking there? Sure. Could you have just as easily let me get me and my family in my car and moved it without extorting us for $60...yep 100%.

My car’s alternator completely died on me and I was worried it had also taken my year old battery with it. I called around to a couple of places to get quotes and I was cringing. Called Frank, he quoted me significantly less than anyone else, and he fixed my car quickly! I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Frank’s Automotive. I will definitely be bringing my car here for any future work!

If I could give a zero star I would, but I needed to get to this page. You are so rude, and so unprofessional, that i will never recommend your company again.

Awful experience. They camped out in a parking lot waiting to tow cars. We were out of the car for ten minutes to pick up kids nearby who weren’t feeling well. They towed the car immediately, refused to give one of us a ride to the shop so asthmatic child wouldn’t have to walk twenty minutes, they said “no my boss is watching me and he will fire me if I do.” Boss was in fact watching him, drove over and circled around myself and kids before and after talking to his employee about what we were talking to his driver about. Didn’t ask if we were okay or kids were okay sitting there in a dark lot while my husband walked to the shop. He just wanted his $156 money grab.

I was in CVS today and when I returned to my car THEY TOWED IT. Not cool. The guy I spoke to was not nice about it.

I took my 2020 Corolla here due to it making a weird noise while driving. They told me it just needs new tires and even pointed out a nail in one of the tires. Very honest and polite. Will go here again and recommend to everyone!

Called at 2pm to see when they could get me in for an oil change and tire rotation. My car was ready to pick up by 3:10 the same day. The price was reasonable and the service was great

We have been bringing our cars for various repairs to Frank for almost a decade now and we are ALWAYS impressed with his kindness, professionalism, expertise, competency, patience, and honesty (this goes for the rest of the staff at the garage as well). Frank gives us options that allow us to make repair decisions that can fit our budget. Also, he is a straight shooter in terms of explaining what needs to be done and triaging the most essential repairs in relation to staying safe on the road and fitting our budget. We highly recommend Frank and his garage!!!

Great customer service! Had muffler problems on our way to the hosp for an appointment. Called him up and they got us in right away. He came out and even showed us the part he replaced.

I would give more stars if I could! Frank is honestly one of the kindest people I’ve had the pleasure of working with. I have only just met this man in the past 6 months but every question or concern I have is met with patience and knowledge. He goes above and beyond what I can expect from a mechanic. The vibe he gives is “dad who knows about cars.” 10/10 recommend working with Frank!

Frank's Automotive came through for us when my daughter's car check engine light came on & started flashing on her way back to BGSU. They took a scan of the vehicle & determined there was a cylinder miss firing & advised me that while they had it apart to replace some other cylinders, spark plugs, & ignition coils to prevent future expense of labor. The next day the vehicle was fixed & all scanned errors/alarms are gone and car is running good according to my daughter. Highly recommend Frank's Automotive for their honest & fast service!!

This is a long appreciation post, but I feel it’s necessary after what I went through with my car recently. I took my car to a local (near BG) dealership for a diagnostic, and they told me my camshaft sensor needed replacing. I paid $3,500 and left, thinking everything was fixed. Not even 24 hours later, my check engine light came back on. I returned to the dealership, and they said I now needed a new catalytic converter, quoting me $3,800. Instead of agreeing, I went to Muffler Bros for a second opinion since their price was a third of what the dealership wanted. When they scanned my car, they noticed camshaft sensor codes still showing. The mechanic suggested I return to the dealership because those codes could be causing the catalytic converter warning. The dealership then told me the codes were likely “old” but agreed to look again. After another diagnosis, they decided it was my phasers, saying those might have failed when the new camshaft sensors were installed. That cost me another $500. When I left, the check engine light was still on, and they said I’d now need new O2 sensors. At this point, I’d already spent $4,000, so I took my car to Frank’s Automotive Shop to see if they could fix it for less. Frank noticed that my O2 sensor was actually pinched between some bolts. He believed this might have happened when the dealership put the valve cover back on. Frank advised me to take it back to the dealership, as this could be their mistake. When I called back, the dealership made me feel guilty for seeking help elsewhere, saying the other shops probably didn’t have the correct Mopar codes But to bring it in to be diagnosed. After hearing this, I was frustrated and told Frank just to fix it. Instead of charging me to fix the O2 sensor, Frank went above and beyond. He took the time to call the dealership, explaining his findings. He even sent me a picture and a short video of the pinched O2 sensor to show the dealership. When I brought my car back to the dealership on 10/31, they kept it until 11/12, only occasionally updating me. When I asked for a rental, they said they were letting their “top mechanic” work on it between other jobs. Thankfully, I finally got my car back on 11/12, with no additional charges, and it’s running smoothly again. My reason for this long post is to give huge appreciation to Muffler Bros and an even bigger thank you to Frank’s Automotive Shop. Frank saved me from spending $3,800 on a catalytic converter I didn’t need and guided me through this frustrating experience. He went out of his way to help me avoid unnecessary costs and to ensure the dealership fixed their own mistake. Thank you, Frank, for your honesty, integrity, and incredible support.

We are so impressed with Frank's! Our vehicle broke down on Halloween evening. We called and it was picked up within an hour AND it was fixed by 9AM the next morning. Great service!!

Frank is a cool guy, he doesn't try to sell you on services you don't need, which is hard to find in a mechanic these days. My experience here was was painless and quick, speaking to the staffs ability to be effective and efficient in what they do. As a college student who doesn't know much about cars, he took the time to explain to me the issues at hand and helped me understand what was going on. Would definitely recommend!

I stopped by Frank's Automotive in Bowling Green with a simple question about tightening my battery connector cables. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with exceptional kindness and service. An older gentleman immediately helped me, taking the time to show me exactly what I was missing. I couldn’t figure out how one of the screws fit to keep the cables secure, but he patiently explained the process and then fixed the issue himself, tightening my other cable as well for good measure. To my surprise, he gave me a firm handshake, wished me a blessed day, and didn't charge me a single cent. It’s rare to come across such genuine, caring service these days. I’m truly grateful for their help and will be back in a heartbeat whenever I need automotive assistance. Frank’s Automotive is a place that reminds you there are still good people running honest businesses. Highly recommend!

Long story short my road service company left my car at the curb for over 24 hours because they said they couldn’t find me a tow. Franks took care of me and got my car moved and repaired. Great service, caring people. What more can you ask for. Thanks Frank

If you’re a college kid or just someone looking for a great auto repair shop, look no further. I recently had some strange noises coming from the car. I called ahead to Frank’s and although Frank said that they might be busy and can’t do walk in appointments (which is completely understandable), he told me to come over anyways so he could at least take a look at my car. When I arrived, he walked out and greeted me instead of me going in and greeting him. He introduced himself and we made light banter as he took a look at my car. After taking my car on a test drive with me in the passenger’s seat, which he offered to do so he could walk me through what he heard as well as get feedback from my experiences, he told me that if one of his guys weren’t busy, they’ll take a more in depth look at it for me. One of his guys turned out to not be busy, and they were able to take a look at the bottom of my car. Frank invited me to go to the garage of the auto shop to explain to me in depth what he sees to be going on, and wasn’t afraid to let me ask clarification questions, in fact he encouraged it. After fixing up my issue (there was a large chunk of plastic hanging from under the car from when I hit something oops), he suggested a more in depth check up later down the line when I could schedule an appointment. After giving my car one final test drive, his guy that fixed my car gave me back the car keys. When I asked how much I should pay, he told me to not “worry about it” and wished me to have a great day. TL;DR: Frank’s a cool guy with a great personality, his guys are just as chill. He explains the issues of your car like a good doctor explains symptoms to a patient, and he doesn’t try to swindle you for money. Also gave me some great advice. All in all, amazing auto repair shop. Definitely would come back again and great recommendation for college kids and all other customers alike!

I called here with major concerns about my transmission, thinking the worst. The dealership wouldn't give me anything other than a quote of $140 to diagnose. Mind you, I know nothing about my car other than how to drive it. When I called Frank's, they told me about checking my transmission fluid, and it turned out, that was all I needed. $13 dollars to get me through until I can afford a transmission service, if i even need one. It sounds stupid, but for someone who was genuinely just ignorant, it means everything. They could have charged me a lot of money to tell me the fluid was low, but they just offered advice for free. So thankful for them, and if I ever need anything in the future, they will have my business 100%

So i recently upgraded my car and took it to the dealership for some diagnosis and was told about the things that needed to be done on the car. Dealership gave me a very high quote and on my way home, i stopped by at franks and explained everything the dealership told me. He advised me to get the parts myself to save cost and also fixed all the issues that was diagnosed by the dealership for less than half the quote i was given. He changed my air filter and rear light bulb free at no cost. I recommed anytime anyday because i feel safe talking to him about my car knowing he cares and wont try to rip me off because i know nothing about cars.

My family and I are newer to the area and didn't know where to take my car for repairs. I went to a big retail place and they said they couldn't help me. I called around and found Frank's, he told me to bring it right in and he would take a look. He explained everything to me, found the problem and fixed it! Very reasonably priced too. They were all so friendly inside. A great, honest, family business. I will definitely be bringing my 4 cars to him when I need to!
