Every time I’ve come into this auto zone, each person has been more than helpful and very kind. Tonight two workers(I know one’s name was Aiden, I didn’t catch the gentleman’s name, maybe Sam?) came out to put new headlights in for me, in single digit weather! The help was greatly appreciated.
Nice, clean store and friendly staff. I pick up an oil change special for my car for less than $35 buck. It includes air filter, 5 quarts of full synthetic oil and an oil filter. Pretty good deal. Also recommend to get their Duralast Gold brake components. The warranty is great.
Update, got another oil change special and they performed an OBD-II scan on my truck. Very friendly staff.
This morning needed help understanding a battery. Billy and I discussed the problem and advised me what I needed to do.

First time we came here, my girlfriend was given two different sized rear drum brakes. We came back and got the correct one. One month later today, we just returned the wrong headlight. Guy at the counter the first time around gave her an attitude, sold her the high beam instead of the main headlight, and some bulb grease. Joseph at the front desk was very kind, allowing us to return the wrong bulb and the bulb grease, earning this review an EXTRA STAR. I was not here for the first encounter, nor could I give a name. Would highly recommend Joseph to anyone, if you see him. Would NOT recommend ladies going in without bringing a car detailer boyfriend along 😎.
Friendly atmosphere. Very helpful. Very quick and register. Got what I needed and and went right to work on my vehicle. Now I'm up and running again. Ready for work Monday. Thanks again!
I just called this Autozone about needing to replace my battery and they were unable to provide any info on whether they could install a battery in my vehicle, even by knowing the make and model. For all my questions, I basically just got short, dead end answers to my questions about if they could do it and how long it might take etc. I had to drive the entire conversation and finally cut it short in frustration. Conversely, when I called O’Reilly’s, they were extremely helpful! They immediately asked year, make, and model and not only were able to tell me that they could perform the installation, but also the various battery and warranty options available for my situation, as well as the optimum times for me to visit them to streamline the installation process. With Autozone, the impression was “we may or may not be able to help you and no advice on timing; it’s a roll of the dice for you. We dont care either way” but with O’Reilly’s the impression was “Here’s how we can help and advise you and we respect your time and your business.” So not only will I not bring my business to this Autozone in the future, I will be advising others that ask to go to O’Reilly’s instead.

The Chardon Auto Zone staff has the absolute best customer service! They go beyond the extra mile to give their customers a hand with their vehicle. They are all a great group of people who make the store they work at so welcoming for the customers! In such a way that It makes me wanna work there too!
Spent half an hour waiting at the counter for the store to decide whether or not to sell me an alternator. Their reasoning is that another customer called before me and might come and get it. Now it’s one thing if it’s bought and paid for but customer just called and hadn’t purchased it yet. I was there, at the counter, with $1k in various other stuff. I think it’s unprofessional to turn away a paying customer. O Reilly had the same thing so it’s all good in the end
Scot, you are the best. Today you helped me out with a fuel pump that I had bought a short time ago that unfortunately failed. I was unable to find the receipt but you were still able to help me get my RC back on the road. I appreciate you so much! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Stop in the Chardon Autozone and see what true customer service looks like. Scot has been a part of this location as long as I can remember. He knows the industry and always wears a smile. I love this place and the people. They talk to me like I'm a human and will go to my car with me to help me figure things out or do it for me. Prices aren't bad and the staff is great!!
At one point in time I would always go to AutoZone, but not anymore. I would rate the service a 2.5 based on how variable your experience can be. Sometimes you get the good staff who are super helpful, polite and experienced. The other half (that I often stumble upon) are rude/ clueless and subtly make sure you know how much they want you to leave so they can go back to playing on their phones.
I was greeted with a smile and the gentleman who helped me was very knowledgeable, helpful and so pleasant. He really made my experience overall and enjoyable one. I want to give a big thanks to Joe!!!!
On the 9th of February I was having trouble removing a flat tire. I came into the store looking for new hand tools. An employee by the name of Taylor offered to help me remove the flat tire with his battery powered impact gun. It was raining at the time, but this young man came out and helped me get the tire off and the spare on. Durning the work Taylor was professional, confident and in good spirits for working in the rain. This young man showed excellent character (a trait that is missing these days) and I want his behavior to be recognized as a representation of what all good men should be.
Super disappointed by associate "Tessa." I was in making a warranty swap on my brake pads and the amazing young lady helping me had a question, and her coworker, "Tessa," gave a smart mouth degrading response to this poor gal. So incredibly unprofessional. NOBODY should talk to another worker the way she did. I do not think her verbal abuse should be tolerated.
The store however is clean, the rest of staff is incredible. Always friendly and knowledgable, such a shame to let one bad apple taint the bunch.
Bought a great used car with my daughter. Needed a windshield wiper on our way home, as thunderstorms were starting. Employees were fast and even came out in the rain to help install. Excellent customer service!!
I will continue to come to this store because of Scott! Not only trying to sell or push a product but cares to find out what you really need. Then came out to my car to triple check and fox my issue. Thanks for the great experience
I've purchased several car batteries from this AutoZone with relatively good luck. I returned today to swap a Duralast battery that just didn't last. It was painless and quick and he had the new one installed in under 15 minutes. For anyone who hasn't tried replacing an auto battery, it's not the most pleasant activities - nothing seems to fit or go back together correctly. But he managed to get everything in there and it's functioning perfectly.
I bought a battery for my friend and Terry assisted us. He checked and changed the battery on our friends car. He was very helpful and knowledgeable! He exceeded our expectations! It was the best customer service I have ever received! I will definitely shop there again!!!! A++++
The manager and his crew at this location are most helpful. They always seem to know exactly what I need even if my description is less than perfect.
Last winter, they worked during a blizzard to find and install the correct windshield wipers. The first set was for my (apparent) 2007 Toyota. Wouldn't fit. They discovered that I actually have 2006 engine and parts. They exchanged the one set for a better model wiper for 2006. It was not an easy job to do in the wind. But they successfully installed them.
