I will NEVER set food in a Kroger again. There are six grocers within a 2.0 radius of my home (e.g., Fresh Thyme, Trader Joe, Whole Foods, Giant) and I often jump into Kroger bc it is right next to my gym. Today I'm officially DONE. Kroger has whittled down "real" cashiers to rely almost exclusively on self check-out, and they staff about six self check-out stations with one individual who either can't or won't do their job. Today was no exception. Self check-out was a mess: everyone needed help (it's five days before Xmas after all), buying booze, getting discounts, etc and the person staffing the self check-out area was incompetent, slow, and plan mean/angry. I needed a discount applied (I bought 'buy three get one free' jars of spices, but the discount wasn't showing) and calmly signaled to the helper in the area (Ma'am, would you mind helping me?) at which point she bared her teeth, scowled at me, and hurled nasty words at me while going off to help someone else, and then someone else, and then someone else.... I flagged a young man to help me (he did and it took perhaps 5 seconds). If I was at my day job and spoke to someone this way, which I would never do, I would be hauled into my bosses' office and probably put on a performance improvement plan. But at this Kroger and every other one I've frequented, this has become ordinary. The only other instance when I've been talked to this way is the TSA staff at PHL airport, and I've just come to expect it. But at a grocer when I'm trying to pay? It's beyond the pale. I've been to Trader Joe, Whole Foods, and Fresh Thyme routinely and I simply cant imagine a scenario where someone talks like that. It just doesn't happen. There is something fundamentally wrong with Kroger; their service desk is nearly always vacant, and they rely on these check-out assistants who seem to be the lowest-common denominator of customer-service expertise: they chill at their stands with their phones, ignoring everyone who needs help, or they yell at them like I experienced today. We are in a world where we desperately need common decency. If I can't get it at the Kroger nearby, there are at least five other places I can go and be treated with dignity. So, I'M DONE AND I ENCOURAGE YOU TO LOOK ELSEWHERE TOO.

My only complaint with Kroger is you mail out physical coupons for us to use. Then after you scan one or two you need an attendant to come, which can back up the line and slow the process. Make coupons easier to use please

Very unorganized Very poor customer service department where no one knows where anything is and they had people personal information in a binder just sitting in the open for anybody to steal! Not at all like my normal experiences at Krogers!

Disgusting store. Smells like urine and mildew / mold. No customer service or checkouts, it’s all self scan with some half baked employees just watching. The produce is the grossest stuff I’ve ever seen. Prices do not reflect sales they advertise on most items I noticed when scanning (falsely informs customers, doubt that’s even legal). There’s a Giant Eagle and another Kroger in the immediate area, avoid this one like the plague (that you may catch while you’re there). Can’t believe Kroger allows this heart of Dublin location to be so awful on all aspects including cleanliness, customer service / employees and quality.

I hate leaving bad reviews and more often than not, go out of my way to leave good ones. That said, the lack of professionalism at this store is stunning! I spent 40 yrs of my life growing up and living here in Dublin, moved to Florida 8 yrs ago, was flying in today for two days to celebrate my son's bday. I ordered a bday cake for him yesterday morning for tomorrow afternoon so more than 48 hrs notice, only to receive a cancelation text TODAY when I landed. When I called, the bakery girl was absolutely RUDE and unprofessional. I was calm, but firm in my disappointment. She didn't even offer to make something else, all she did was chastise me for being a little "upset." I asked to speak to a manager and was on hold and never got one. The excuse I got when I did get a hold of someone later was, "we just don't have the staff!" Really!?! Then STOP offering a service if you can't provide said service. ? Super disappointed in your store's lack of customer service in every way.

Kroger is a good place to shop for groceries and other staples, however, their prices can be a bit high, compared to a few other discount-grocers.

I hope somebody reads these reviews that can make meaningful improvements. Items ringing up at the correct price seems to continue to be an issue. Today I was met at the service desk by a sign that read “service desk is closed at 6 due to no help.”

Edit: Lying about sale prices regularly; pay close attention to your receipt. Somehow this location keeps getting worse. In Dublin? Entirely self checkout, barely functional self checkout, staffed by 3 people today. 17 self checkouts and 3 people. Customer service closed. Never happened at a Kroger before. No customer service. Most of the produce rotten. Multiple shelves unstocked. They've given up on this location. Do not visit. This is a disgrace.

Terrible experience visiting this location for what should have been a simple transaction! I walk in to go to customer service to pull cash off my card and crickets..... I proceed to walk through the store to see if I could find an employee and I find a older guy which was very sweet and helpful, but then he walks me back upfront and calls for a young guy named Tanner I figured he's the manager and will be able to help. He states his employee is running two hours behind and won't be in until closer to 10am. Kroger's needs to do better he or someone else should have been able to assist me, I shouldn't have to waste more time and gas going to another location TERRIBLE customer service from Tanner! I asked for a corporate number and they were even worse from another country couldn't understand what I was saying had to speak to three different reps Janet, Kimeni, and Cherry which is TERRIBLE Kroger may have lost my business after this experience!!!

5 Stars for A.J. at Kroger Pickup... and -3 stars for the App Development Team! So there I was, bright-eyed and ready for my groceries... at the wrong Kroger. Why? Because the app decided I needed a scenic 12-mile adventure instead of just letting me pick up my bananas and frozen pizza like a normal human. Why, app team why?! Anyway, I roll up to my usual Kroger in Hilliard (less than 1 mile away from me) only to be told, “Miss, your groceries are... not here.” I’m confused, slightly hangry, and now on a mission. I journey to this location...this mystery Kroger, park in pickup, and there stands a beacon of hope: A.J. He was worried that I was lost and would miss out on my $80 grocery order. This young man... had been trying to call me like a responsible adult, but my number was wrong. Not because I typed it wrong, but because the app apparently had one job and said “nah.” (Do better, app devs. This is why people elope with Target.) Despite the chaos, A.J. was friendly, curious, and super helpful. He deserves a raise and a team member of the month award! Honestly, he’s the reason I’m still shopping at Kroger and not spiraling into the arms of Target. So yes...A.J. is the MVP. The app, on the other hand...needs to be fired.

Terrible service from a management level. I was amazed to walk up to the Cashiers to check out to find out that this store is solely set up for self checkout. 20 plus people standing in lines trying to learn how to be a cashier while I watch my life drain away. I left my cart and almost a hundred dollars of groceries and walked out. I won't wait for 30 minutes while 5 self Cashiers wait for the one employee working to come over and fix their register. This is inefficient, ineffective, and poor customer service. I won't shop any store that requires self checkout and designed the store to make customers their employees. Beyond the poor design to check out, the employees are also rude and in bad moods. Tons of competition in the grocery store sector to waste my time on over priced products that I also have to work for. Unbelievable that the Dublin Community hasn't pushed back harder and walked away from this store. I won't be back unless they hire (kind, hardworking) people to do the job.

I typically shop on Sunday afternoon. Checkout is beginning to be annoying due to redundant security built into conveyor system. Almost always have to have an associate come and clear issue. The bigger problem is getting someone's attention. Today I asked someone to get off their cell phone and help me. Weekends are typically a group of teen boys in a huddle on their phones not paying any attention while customers bag their own groceries, Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any management to talk to. I share my sentiment with others writing reviews. Produce is absolutely poor quality.

This place has fallen apart since one of the managers left. Often times I find food that has been open and put back on the shelf. I have a feeling its the employees that are doing that. The Vegetables are most often rotten or bad. The Deli section is a joke. Twice I have gotten smelly or bad meat that was sliced for me. This location needs to do better. If you can shop at another Kroger, that would be my recommendation.

I do pick up and Judith has always been so nice and helpful (other members have been extremely helpful and polite as well!). I used to dread picking up groceries at a different Kroger, however it’s nice knowing the pick up team here has such warm energy. Most items are typically in stock as well, and when they aren’t substitutions have always been great!

Love the store I love the people in the store so for a couple of Pharmacy workers they're not so very nice. But most of them are. But so aggravated I went in this morning to buy a few groceries for work and all their lights in their Frozen freezer sections are off I couldn't see anything I wanted to buy a little disappointed but again I drive a far away just to come up to this one because most of the staff are fabulous

Items are often mispriced and employees are rude when you ask to check price at register. There is not a single cashier — all self check out, even for large orders. Grocery pick up is no better— I waited 45 minutes for my small order today that was supposedly ready and employees were defensive. Very disappointing and will not return. Only star is for pharmacists who are friendly and helpful.

This store should be a 5-star store being that it's in Downtown Dublin. But there is no Dublin pride here nor respect for anyone's time. Update deli has been closed the last 3 times I've been to this location.

2 stars because this one actually had everything I wanted. But it's pulled down by the fact that this Kroger, like many others, have gone to self checkout ONLY. The general public is not trained for this. Not only is it frustrating as hell, it's a slow, painful process when you get behind someone who has no clue what to do. If you have anything that needs assistance from the "attendant", hopefully they're not deeply involved in gossip time. Thanks Kroger for making quick trips to the grocery store a thing of the past!

Kroger has gone downhill for years. This store is a prime example. I won't get into the rampant price gouging, but the 'bag-it-yourself' model is a disaster. Totally forgetting there are no clerks or would have gone somewhere else, I found a line to scan myself out and after finishing, i find the bags scattered all over the floor and off the rack. So now i have to pull those bags apart one at a time and find a way to get my groceries bagged in less than 15 minutes. Of course understandably, other customers are getting annoyed, and worst of all, the few kids they employ are on their cell phones watching the whole disaster unfold. This probably isn't the worst trip i've had to Kroger, the other locations are hardly any better

First this location moves to ALL self checkout, no more cashiers, then they move to tall shelves, and now they've shuffled around the products. How many more ways can Kroger tell its customers to shop elsewhere? I'll tell you: have fewer staff on the floor, none of which seem to have any actual store knowledge, or at all interested in helping. Blank stares. Responses such as "I don't know, over that way I think?" while they walk away. Customer service is dead. And so is any loyalty I had to Kroger.

I used to love this Kroger. Things were easy to find and customer service was helpful. I wish I knew how much the store was being renovated before coming in. The store should have closed to finish this process. I was not able to find several items and there was no staff available for me to ask where they were. I did not find them. The self checkout was frustrating because I had to call an attendant 4 times and each time I had to wait 5-8 minutes. There is not enough staff. I also worry about people with special needs or older adults that need help. I would think having at least one normal check out with a staff member is needed. Unless I am getting a few items I will not be coming back to this Kroger. I was very disappointed with my experience. I plan to go to Giant Eagle. It’s just as close to my house and the staff members are welcoming and helpful.

I come here out of convenience on my lunch breaks or sometimes after work. The store overall is fine. The staff are always really great. There’s a young lady who runs carts and she’s one of my favorite people. She’s absolutely delightful and I’m always happy to hear about her latest adventures or accomplishments. The shopping experience though, is pretty dismal. The aisles are almost always full of carts, pallets or stacks of product. It’s hard enough to navigate around all the stuff on the floor when the store is slow. If it’s busy, forget about it. I’ve felt this way for a couple of years but always assume it’ll get better. No such luck just yet.

So I'm going to be critical. This location is totally fine as a grocery store. They usually have what you're looking for and fair prices galore. However, they just decided to have only self checkout meaning that all the older people or even myself who sometimes pick up a lot of things now have to become good at checking out. This is hard for people with families when they have kids and it feels unnecessary when people who work at a grocery store scan two to three times faster, probably than your average consumer. Super disappointed by this choice. I hope this isn't a company-wide decision

Awesome place to go for grocery shopping. Really friendly staff and great and fresh products. Not a too large store so can find anything you want in a very short time. Really happy to have this store in the neighborhood. All of the staff from the fresh meat section to the checkout are super friendly and you feel so go to shop therex

This afternoon I was a bit disappointed with my grocery pick-up experience. I had placed an order with a total of about $50. When I arrived to pick-up I was notified that there was an item on my list that was out of stock at the store and not come in on my list of substitutions through the app. My order total was brought down under the $35 dollar minimum and then I was told that was going to be charged a $4.95 service fee for the pick up. This is unfair. It is not my fault that the store did not have an item in stock, and I should not be charged a service fee because the items that were available for order but were not at the store or on my substitution list. The manager was able to remove the service charge for us today, but informed us that they would not be able to do so again. However, I wonder why Kroger would charge for something that is not the customer’s doing? I feel that policy needs to be looked over again in regards to orders where items are out of stock.

Please reconsider your shopping. Or at least don’t bother customer service. They get very annoyed if you want to buy lottery tickets. Also watch the prices when you are checking out. I find at least one item that rang up more than it should. Even the cashier yesterday said the Halloween candy wasn’t ringing up on sale. I have been a Kroger’s customer for years. So out of habit I would stop at this location. I will be changing my habits after today.

Your ability to have checkout lanes open the last few months has been getting worse and worse. It starting to feel like Walmart. Fix it, please. Feb 1. This place still hasn't fixed the problem. Worse than Walmart

I really don’t like this kroger store. Every time I go there there are some items missing, also their staff don’t have a clue where to find certain products and they are very slow by the checkout. The one on hospital drive is much better.
