Northridge is my go-to local auto service center in Lake County, Ohio! I’m a retired engineer, and when I look around their shop I see a highly organized workplace. Their front end of the shop is just the same - polite, but no nonsense. Everyone here is skilled at what they do and they do it well.
I had them mount four new tires and align. Routine for sure, but they discovered a bent control arm and replaced it at a reasonable price. I hit a curb a few weeks before that. I inspected under the car and didn’t see anything notable. Occasionally, while driving, I felt a little bit of pull to one side. Northridge technicians found a control alarm that was Unserviceable!

I took my car in because I thought it needed rear brakes. They checked it all over, and I was pleased to find out it didn't need brakes after all! I got my oil changed like I always do. I have been going to Northridge Automotive for at least 25 years. They have always been very professional, honest, and very friendly. I wouldn't trust anyone else to work on my car!
Everything was fantastic as usual. Been a customer there since they opened and have always had great service. Everyone is helpful and polite and pride themselves on honesty.
I'm just visiting the area around North Madison for training and school and noticed that my car is losing air pressure in the right-front tire. I already noticed a small piece of metal in the tire that causes the leak. My colleague recommended this shop. I showed up without an appointment, and they immediately took care of the problem. It only took them less than an hour to fix my car, and it's pretty awesome!!! Thank you guys, especially Mike Capretta! I highly recommend this shop.
I have been to Northridge Auto for a variety of services on multiple vehicles recently, and all of the work has been top quality and everyone there is super knowledgeable and helpful and friendly.

These guys are always too notch. I take all my cars to them and I get excellent service every time. The pricing cannot be beat and they always make sure I understand what I’m paying for. Never have I been charged for things that were not needed as I have at other places near by. This most recent service was done quickly and affordably. I will continue to have my vehicles serviced here.
My wife and I have had a few different services at north ridge automotive on a few different vehicles I've owned. I can't say enough good things about this place. Prices are fair quality of work is very good and the crew at the front desk are great. I continue to recommend these guys to friends and family.

I recommend Northridge all the time. These guys are excellent at their work, and year everyone like family. A couple times I took my vehicle in to get something fixed, just to find out there was nothing wrong and I want charged. Great company!

I can't say enough good things about this establishment. They ANSWER their phones (no being directed to voicemail on the 2nd ring), Bill was extremely friendly, took his time explaining things to me and treated me like a human, not like I have been treated as a woman in the past. This establishment is well worth a drive if you're looking for great mechanics and very reasonable prices. I have a new car care place for sure. Thank you to the entire crew...
The tech that installed my new tires had a couple screw ups. He put one of new tire on my spare rim. But that was quickly resolved. When I got home I see he didn't replace the valve stems, but no biggie. Then I seen he lost two of my metal valve stem caps. Nothin I'm gonna complain about. North ridge is a very good place.
Appreciate Northridge getting me in to repair a flat tire during a very busy holiday week. The road hazard policy I received with the tire purchase covered the costs. A-1 services.
Due to my busy schedule, and needing my tires replaced, I contacted Northridge Automotive and explained my situation and they squeezed me in and took great care of my needs. Price was the same as the other places I called, but the customer service was top notch.
Came in to get my starter looked at because my car was starting inconsistently. They replaced the negative cable and called it a day. Still isn’t starting right. They also quoted me one price over the phone and another price in person
Edit 12/3/25: Called and talked to Mike. They’re taking another look later today.
Edit 12/5/25: Got my car back and it seems to be running great! They ended up replacing the battery and my windshield wiper free of charge! Changed from 1 star to 5.
The staff is so friendly and they always do their best to accommodate my schedule. If I need tires repaired, oil changes, winter tires put on, tires pressure light comes on, I call them and they find time to service my vehicle. Sometimes, not offended I need to schedule an appointment for an oil change. Scott and Mike are really very accommodating and helpful. I’ve never been told I needed things I didn’t need, unlike Classic Mazda. I would recommend them for all your automotive needs.
Called Mike, told him what I needed, he ordered the tires and called to tell me they were in. He set an appointment, I dropped the truck off and it was done on time and as quoted. No non sense or trying to upsell. Just did the job quickly, efficiently, and as quoted.
Every time my car comes back from here it’s running worse. First time it came back with scratches, I had just bought it and would have noticed if it had scratches. Every time I’ve gotten an oil change they overfill it and charge me for more oil. Took car in for valve stem replacement, which I didn’t know why it was ignored 2 weeks earlier when I had tire plugged and a flat taken care of , and now it wobbles , But was still told my tires are still good. I went to another tire place and every tire had busted belts.
I recently purchased a truck from a family friend. We're at had almost $3000 worth of work. Done by Northridge, automotive, he never ended up driving the vehicle after servicing it there. So I was under the impression, everything in the front end was fine. Soon to find out, though. The vehicle had a bad wheel hub assembly and movement and 2 of the 4 ball joints When I went there today and confronted them, about being dishonest about the condition of the components on the truck. He told me that ball joint movement up-and-down. It's completely normal anybody who can use Google. Will be able to tell you that that is not normal nor safe. I couldn't use enough words to describe how much I do not recommend using this shop.
This place i cannot recommend enough, they are honest, prompt, and more than fair on pricing. Recently i thought i had an exhaust leak, turns out i did, but it was just a bolt and a gasket which they were very honest about. Again, I highly recommend this place, it is actually out of my way to go here, but because of the honesty and fair pricing, I will continue to bring my vehicles here for maintenance.
Northridge is great. Asked pretty last minute for an alignment on my truck, they had a spot open the next morning so I dropped it off the day before. Got a call 3 hours later, they had “some down time” and my truck was as ready!! Quality work, and $75 below the dealership cost
Good quick service and were able to work with me and my custom car and odd needs. Ordered the exact tires I wanted & got them mounted and balanced the way I was comfortable with.
