My son’s truck was disabled and required a Tow. AAA was called and they were worthless. I called J&L directly and Troy immediately made arrangements to tow the truck to the dealership. We dumped AAA, and I would recommend J&L to anyone. I’ve chosen to use J&L for my U-Haul needs merely because of the high quality service.
We were stranded in Jamestown due to a serpentine belt break issue in -40 below windchill weather. We called around to several mechanics and garages listed in an internet search and nobody was willing or able to help until we came in contact with J & L Service. They came with a wrecker, got us settled in their warm vehicle and towed us to their shop. My husband was coaching a chorus in Bismarck on Friday evening and all day Saturday, and we would be coming back through on Sunday. J&L assessed the problem and said they would have it fixed and ready for us on Sunday when we came back through, and they did! They went above and beyond to take care of us and get us back on the road in the frigid cold weather. We are sooooo thankful for their willingness to help and their skill in getting it fixed so quickly. Thank you J & L Service!!
The guys there Friday night of 8-22-2025 were the absolute best!! They apologized to me when they by no means had to when the U-Haul truck I reserved hadn’t yet been returned just before they were about to close for the day. I had driven 100 miles from Bismarck to get it since it was the closest one available and they sympathized with my situation even though it wasn’t their fault. It showed up just as I was heading back to Bismarck and they immediately got it transferred to me and let me leave my vehicle in their lot until the next day. I couldn’t be happier with the service this two gentleman provided!!
Troy always bends over backwards to help his customers! He really cares and it shows! He recently changed the shocks in my prized old truck and the ride has never been better! Also, coincidentally, while my truck was at the shop, my father had his truck break down on the highway and he needed to have it towed back to town. He headed out to rescue him almost immediately! He saved the day! Give this small local business your support!
I gave 5 stars because I couldn’t give 10 I was passing through on the highway when my trailer broke down I had it taken to another shop that estimated it to be a week before they could fix it being from Ohio I couldn’t afford to wait a week with hotel costs and work so I took it to J and L and he fixed in two days and was able to get me back on the road he was professional and courtesy and did everything in his power to get me home sooner.
Extremely rude to his staff and customers. Still waiting for him to get back to me with warranty money been over a year and been waiting 7 months for him to call me back after saying he’d pull it up and call me when he does
Extremely rude owner calls cops on people for looking to see if their vehicle is parked in an open lot without private property or no trespassing signs. Would recommend somewhere else
