There is an old man that works there that gives me a hard time everytime I go. I arrived the first time with my NY plated car and he gave me a hard time telling me that the location is for wake county residents. I explained I moved into the area and he still was difficult. I arrived a second time with lots of cardboard boxes. He spotted two boxes from coca-cola and started giving me a hard time again. I arrived a third time with a broken wooden pallet and he wouldn’t let me throw it out in the trash stating it needed to go to a different center to be recycled. There was a truck next to me throwing out an entire truck of old wooden furniture. Today I arrived again with the moving truck and three bags of trash. He ran over to me as I was throwing out the bags telling me I need a permit to throw out trash in a box truck. I kindly stated to him that I was en route to return the moving truck and it was the last of our trash and he wouldn’t let me discard of my trash. A lot of rules regarding trash and the facility looks as if is from a third world country. This old man that wants to descriminate against northerners instead of sweeping and organizing the center is the problem.
The workers here are always nice, courteous, and helpful. The entire driveway and parking area has been repaved and is perfectly smooth. I have never had a legitimate issue with any of the convenience drop-off locations, this one included. Certain things must be dropped off at certain locations. It states this plainly and details what can go where on the website. Sometimes the dumpsters get full, and it's necessary to come back later or go elsewhere. Such is life. I'm not going to cry or complain about circumstances that don't adhere to my whims.
If I find myself often at odds with or complaining about people or circumstances, maybe I am the problem.
Turned away from being able to dump my residential two trash bags. And you wonder why people throw trash on the side of the road it might be because you get turned away when trying to dump trash at the legal way at a dumpsite. So now I wonder why do I even pay taxes to be able to dump trash the legal way if you get turned away from the location closest to your residence? Bad customer service/operational
I cant begin to express my gratitude to the kindness shown to me this weekend at this facility. I was tasked with assisting my elderly parents with their garage downsize and reorganization and had so much to despose of. Also many very heavy items on all 7 trips over the weekend. Each time I arrived with a load I was was greeted with not only a smile from EVERY worker but also assistance with the bulky and heavy items without even a request. Jerry especially was such a JEWEL with his assistance, sweet and kind demeanor and positive and happy attitude. Such kind folks here. Service like this these days is so rare and so appreciated. Thank you!
This place and it’s employees are amazing very helpful courteous and always smiling they will take a second to talk to you it’s usually a fast in and out I go at least 3 times a week it’s nice to go to a place and see a familiar face all the time with smiles not to mention there’s no trash what so ever any where on the ground
Great location for recycling. It is small but oriented in a way to get you in and out fast. You can just back into a spot right next to the recycling or household waste and toss everything right from your vehicle.
This helped tremendously when we moved here as we had a full pickup of cardboard to recycle. Employees were nice as well.
If you have rented a box truck to get rid of large items, you must apply for a permit several days in advance to dispose of *anything* in the truck. Even cardboard.
I wish that I had thought to look beforehand.
Very convenient (punn intended) they accept regular trash, recycling, cardboard, and metal...no building materials from home projects though...for that you need to go to Durant
The attendant was extremely rude. Told me that I had to turn my truck off on a 90° day while I had a newborn in the vehicle. I tried to explain to him and he told me he didn't care and I needed to roll the window down. Very rude and unhelpful.
This is usually a quick park and unload experience, but today I arrived during a transition time...switching out dumpsters for household trash. After I waited for a while, an attendant recognized I only had one bag and took it from me so I could leave without waiting for the transfer to conclude.
