I am the owner of the business I try to give great service but when you have people that are towed due to the HOA they will hurt your business I only tow when called and not like the company Brandon Mclawhorn works for. He has been job to job let go from different companies. To the wanna be lawyer I cannot say the name due to a legal matter. AB2210 is a California law. In NC illegally parked in an HOA is different. You sign a contract to keep tags up. In NC if I am hooked on any part I have a possession lien and I offer a reasonable drop fee nothing like Brandon Mclawhorn Says. Maybe keep a job. Jennifer Kennedy, you weren’t towed a gentleman was parked were you worked and the owner of the building had it towed so you need to get your story straight. Me and William have talked and after he realized my father was murdered in 2010 he apologized and we speak. China ya Redmond I don’t stalk you had time to get your car moved. Your dad paid for it and I cut you a break. Next time I won’t. Tasha like others read your HOA agreement. People you think jumping in a car will save it. It cost more it’s better to pay the drop fee depending on how much it ranges from 40 to 75 bucks depending on the time also. The most was 125 I had it hooked on dollies at 3 am. I try to do the right thing. The HOA states you have to display up to date tags. You r warned and signs are up. Those who try to demean me I pray for them. Thank you and God Bless.
Of course no one is happy when their car is getting towed. Mine was in a location that it should not have gotten towed and Mr. Clay ended up getting a call to have it towed. Thankfully I was there and could prove the car should not get towed and everything worked out. I spoke to him respectfully and he did the same with me, a couple calls were made and there were no issues. If your car wasn't supposed to get towed its the person/entity's fault who called it in and getting in arguments with the tow company wont do anything to help you keep/pickup your vehicle. Any time I get in a tight spot I always call Clay's now.
My vehicle was parked in my townhome. Mr. Clay did Tow it. At first I was cursing and acting ugly, I was loud and he did hang up the phone. I went there and I realized I had not followed my HOA contract. Even though I was so rude, Mr. Clay treated me like a lady. I have high respect for him because he didn’t have to help me, he even towed my car to down at a reduced rate. I learned to treat him with respect and I would receive respect.
So u and ur friends are protected from the illegal towing of ur vehicles....
Under AB 2210, if you spot a tow truck driver taking your car, and the tow truck is still on private property, the driver must release your car to you unconditionally. A tow truck operator who violates this law is subject to a civil misdemeanor, a fine of $2,500, and/or three months in jail.Dec 17, 2017.... Private property is any property not owned by the City, State and US gov.
Clay and this entire "business" is a sad mess. Ways to improve?
They could start by following the law and not towing a car that has a completely different license plate than the one they've been asked to tow!
Also, they could be respectful and polite when someone brings this to their attention and asks them to return said car before calling the police.
Perhaps, not offering to have your Mother in Law scoop me up and drive out there to get the car you STOLE may have improved my opinion, but, I doubt it.
Finally, you could do the world a favor and stop posting ANYTHING publicly because the manner in which you speak and blather on without so much as a period is absolutely painful to read.
Do not call these guys unless you want to work with crooks with no sense about how to speak with the Public and follow the law.
Not only are they crooks but, they do business for other crooks. Stay away!
Clay was supposed to pick up merchandise purchased with a stolen credit card from my shop. I had told the potential customer that I couldn’t release the equipment without further verification since the deal seemed odd. Clay showed up anyway and said HE DOES BUSINESS WITH THIS GUY ALL THE TIME, reassured me that all was well. He then got upset that I wouldn’t release the equipment because I had my doubts on the validity of the purchase. Very unprofessional, fussing in my parking lot at me and a Greenville police officer. Today I was contacted by the account holder in regards to a charge that wasn’t authorized for that equipment purchase. Thankfully their money will be returned and I didn’t lose any equipment to this scam. Clay has since told me I would be getting sued which I find weird since he said he got paid by the criminal for his time yesterday and as far as me and clay go, we didn’t actually have any business together. Real fun fella to be around.
Shadiest wrecker service in Pitt County. Tried towing a friend of mine Saturday night from his own residence. Told him it would be 250 if he took the car or he’d settle for $75. When my friend was giving the receipt it showed a whole different location than where they really were. Con artists at its finest. Needs to be 0 stars.
