First, I called on the phone and spoke to Travis. He was very professional and helpful. When I brought my Class A RV to his shop, he could have just sold me a new battery. However, he took the time to test my battery and he even explained how the other three batteries worked. He made a recommendation of an additive that could help with my issue. I think he could tell I was a little nervous because of all the questions I asked but he stayed professional and patient with me the whole time. I will definitely come back for any auto needs. The other people working there were also very kind and professional.

The store states they are open till 9 on Mondays. The doors are locked and the old woman inside is vacuuming at 8. Whatever. Not like there isn't 2 other auto parts stores within a mile away.

The experience at this location were absolutely the best Auto Advance I ever been in! Especially the staff everyone was so kind, pleasant and very knowledgeable. The staff will go above and beyond to assist your situation. Thanks to the staff! For been a bright light in the darkness.

The guy at the counter helped this helpless "I don't know a thing about buses" chick when our bus had a check engine light on. Friendly, knowledge and incredibly helpful!

The workers there are all kind and look out for their customers. They helped fix up my old truck and with finding the parts I needed, after coming back multiple times in a day.

Chuck gave me excellent customer service.He helped me with an issue that I have been having for 3 months with my license plate.Chuck found a sound solution that fixed the issue in no time after assesing the issue and even using his own tool..Thanks Chuck,You're Awesome.?

Great customer service! They welcomed me as soon as I walked through the door. One of the guys helped me get a better deal on the tire shine.

Favorite Casino in town. They did an amazing job putting together car parts and gambling. Just about everytime you go in you put the money on the counter order the part and they spin the roulette wheel. Chances arent very high of getting the right part but man is car part roulette fun. They have a few associates thats are amazing comedians. Some real rockstar personalities. Spin the wheel get the wrong part and then you enter an awesome debate of there is no way they could possibly be wrong. I learned that all manufacturers are bolt on compatible parts. Got a chevy dont matter heres a ford part. Got a 5.0l dont matter heres a part for a 2.0l. Oh and lets not get started on the time it takes to gamble again. Elizabeth citys finest entertainment.

They got the right spark plugs for me the next day which was cool. Unfortunately their customer service is not so good. We had driven from Portsmouth and my brother needed a restroom and was denied access saying the restroom is not for the public. We were customers but won't be again.

My visit today was exceptionally good. I walked in and got a young man to assist me right away. I told him what I needed. He checked his computer for my make and model car. We talked price for a minute and he walked over and got my items and brought them back and rang them up. I paid, he bagged them. I walked out happy and quickly. In today's world with lots of companies short handed or new people that haven't had a chance to learn their job, I was thrilled with my positive experience and since I was in a hurry, getting and making my purchase fast was amazing.

I said hello to everyone in the store when I walked in as I was stared at by them behind the counter.... my hello was ignored. When I bought the item I needed and asked where I could find another just like it, they sent me to a store five minutes down the road. When I got there, they were closed.... why send me to a store that's closed, and why the weird treatment? No thanks.

Josh and Doug quickly diagnosed my charging problem and insured it was repaired quickly and properly. As a disabled vet, senior citizen, I am grateful for their assistance.

Have been a long time customer of Advance and have gone many times for OBD-II scanner test on my vehicles. I understand times are different right now with Covid so I called ahead to be sure they were still offering this service. The associate answered the phone and was friendly at first. I asked about the code scanning and she told me they are not doing it currently. I thanked her and asked her if that was all the Advance locations ( I can easily visit another if it was available) and she sort of laughed and was like well yeah thats true for all the Advances but I cant speak for my competitors (I did not ask about the competition I specifically said Advance) I replied Ok no worries thank you so much for your time and have a great day! Not sure how much she heard of that as she hung up on me before I finished. No bye no kiss my behind nothing! This one interaction has really caused me to no longer want to do business with Advance and I spend a lot there as I do most of my own work and have 3 vehicles. Please see my review of Autozone in Elizabeth City NC as they handled the same situation in a completely different way and hence earned my loyalty going forward. Customer service is huge and it means everything to me on where I choose to spend my money.

I woke up this morning to my car not starting. Once jumped it was fine. I took it to Advanced Auto to have my battery tested. The worker did not seem like he wanted to be there but he did come out to test it. He could not get the battery to test and stated that it is probably an electrical problem. Considering that it started when it was jumped, I did not think that sounded right. Then, since my car was off, it would not start. He walked away without saying anything. I just stood there for a little while and when he came back, he asked if someone could come out to jump me. I ask if he could, since he was there. He said that he wasn't supposed to do that. But he did jump me and I was able to leave. I went to the competing store, Auto Zone, and they tested my battery with no problems. I did have a bad cell. I would not recommend going to Advanced Auto in Elizabeth City.

Went great. Tested battery, needed a new one. Got the one that comes with 3 yr warranty. Nice customer service.

My experience was well worth the visit, purchased a new battery, it was installed in 5 minutes or less, plus new windshield wipers aslo attached for me, very, very nice ppl there

I almost always purchase parts from here after they bought out Car Quest. Car Quest parts are of great quality. My only issue with this store is the knowledge of the help at the counter. I often ask questions and they literally just tell me they don't know. I would rather they tell me that instead of lying to me, but my point is that they lack knowledge. Even basic car stuff. Some of the veterans there are definitely knowledgeable, but they can't help every single customer. It also bothers me when I'm asking for help and they are on their phones. Please put your phone down and pretend that you want to help me.

The folks here were super friendly. I needed a windshield wiper on this trip. The computer to help you pick the correct wiper(s) is helpful & the cashier always asks to see if you'd like them to double check at the register. A gentleman took my old wiper off and replaced it with my new one in less than 30 seconds.

Best if you know EXACTLY what you need. Bought coolant canister and clerk asked if I had a hose assembly..which I did. Only to find out the specific brand I bought has a proprietary attachment...which the clerk informed me of after I made a return trip to the store.

The best service auto parts store in Elizabeth City. The young man that assisted me was very knowledgeable and friendly. Recommended a product and sold me the same. Will definitely return to do Bussiness.

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff here. I had a dead battery and I am physically unable to swap the battery myself. Very graciously swamped the battery for me. I really appreciate service like this. I will be back!

Recently bought a $73 part from here and was told that if it didn't solve my issue that I could return it. Turns out that I didn't even need the part and never installed it but for some reason they're telling me I can't return it. And the woman who said I could return it is denying that she ever said I could return it. Never shopping there again.

Sometime I walk in and wonder where everybody is. I have walked around, found what I needed, waited at the register, and finally left because nobody was around. Autozone across the street can be the same way. O'Reilly's has always helped me quickly. But sometimes you have to go to other places like Advance to get what you need.
