I had the unfortunate wrench thrown in my day to need a tow due to my car breaking down. I called AAA and they connected me with ProTow. I was quoted a 3+ hour wait from AAA and the driver was there within the first hour of placing my request! I am kicking myself for forgetting my drivers name but he had to bring myself and my car 60 miles home. We chatted the whole way and he truly loves what he does. I would highly recommend this company for anyone in need. He was incredibly professional and kind.
From the initial call to the young lady (Holley) and gentleman that came and got my truck in 20 minutes tops, excellent service. Everyone I spoke to were nice and professional. Great company.
So impressed by how quick and easy it was. The person who answered the phone could not have been nicer. Hope I never need a tow truck again but I know who to call if I do!
Ok, I’m typically a very patient and understanding person, but when you straight up lie to me that a problem. My AAA uses this guys to toe my cat from Moyock to Newport News this evening. I was texted messaged that the driver would be there at 7:30 pm nope, checked back at 9 and was told the driver had difficulty getting my car on the bed. The car runs it just goes into limp mode after a while so the driver is either incompetent or there was another lie. Then I called back at 10:27ish and was told that they were in Newport News dropping off. Yeah that is definitely a no. It’s my shop they dropping off to and it has cameras all around that I checked as I am on the phone and guess what no car still. Yeah definitely never using this company again.
Mahlon was a true professional and an absolute gentleman. He responded rapidly to my request for support and kept me informed of his progress to my location. We enjoyed a pleasant conversation while he changed my flat tire. He also diligently walked me through the process of accessing the spare for future reference. I would recommend him to anyone and trust Pro Tow sees him as a valued employee.
I am extremely disappointed with the service I received at Protow. Without any consultation or notification, they completely removed my intact fender and took out my headlight. I only found out when I went to the repair shop. When I asked why they did this, their staff acted indifferent and as if they had the authority to make decisions about my car without my consent. The manager was equally dismissive, showing no concern and couldn’t provide any proof or valid reason for removing these parts. This kind of careless, unprofessional behavior is unacceptable. I will not be returning and caution others to be careful with their vehicles there. Even though Ms. Erin was extremely helpful and kind when speaking with her this was extremely unacceptable.
Marcus was quick to respond, very friendly and helpful when he showed up. His truck was spotless and smelled great. Highly recommend Marcus if you can get him.
Had a flat tire in Salvo so I put a request in with AAA, and Pro Tow & Recovery came to the rescue! Brian was extremely professional, helpful, and put my spare tire on for me so I could get the bad one fixed.
The next day I stopped at a spot in Manteo on my way out to get the bad tire fixed…which they did, but wouldn’t put it back on my car. So I used AAA again, and lo and behold Brian came to the rescue again!
Great, professional help that was there extremely fast. Would definitely recommend them if you are ever in a bind.
Outstanding service beginning with my initial call great communication and the quick response from the driver. The tow truck operator Mahlon was very courteous, professional and careful hooking my truck up on the flatbed. I appreciate the exceptional customer service I received today, thank you ProTow.
George came out today in the 35 degree weather to help me with a battery that would not start. I was stuck, without heat, in a parking lot. George was friendly, quick and very professional. He was able to test the battery and replace it for me probably in under 15 minutes. I really appreciate George’s willingness to help me out and come quickly on such a cold day. I really appreciate George and ProTow for being there when I needed help.
Mahlon just picked up my 4Runner to take to Leary's Garage for repair. He was very nice, and did an excellent job. He let me know what he was doing, and said he would be careful to not scratch up my driveway. Excellent! Thanks!
The tech/driver that assisted us was great! He was able to find a solution to the issue and fix it without having to tow our rental vehicle. He was also very nice and happy to help. I wish i had gotten his name to add to this review.

I'm a single mom and my timing chain decided to stretch on me and my car would not start. We had a lot of rain, so my car was in an awkward spot. She was wedged in between my 2 neighbors properties and my own; to try to keep her from also being stuck in the mud. I had her sideways. Jason came out in the pouring rain, called to let me know where he was, when he'd be here, was prompt, and got my car out of the Mudd. He even made sure I was okay and to go get my umbrella. Very considerate to also look after my welfare. You can tell he knows his cars and cares about his clients. A few of my neighbors tried coming out of their houses to help push, but stopped when they saw he had it. Jason definitely knew what he was doing. It was such a relief to see he knew exactly how to handle us being in a tough and tiny spot. It was such a relief. I had been having issues with my car for so long and finally found someone who was willing to fix it. Jason made it possible today. He had to avoid a lot of sewer lines, mailboxes, magnolia bushes, two hitches, electrical boxes, campers, etc. out where it floods from the canal on the properties and he did it like a Geometry genius. With the best attitude!! He had to get down deep in the mud to hook my car and he did it with a smile on his face. I said this man needs a raise. Very great guy and my son and I owe him a huge debt of gratitude. I'm thankful for having a card now to keep in my wallet for ProTow & Recovery, LLC. Will definitely be using them again. Best part of all - Jason ended the service with a handshake and a "Merry Christmas." Very likeable man and I'm sure he is an asset to the team. Couldn't have done it without him.
Jason provided excellent service. I did not have to wait long at all. My tire blew out. He came and assessed the situation. He was very friendly and made me feel as if this could’ve happened to anyone. He was very personable. It was a little breezy outside and he asked me if I had a jacket. I did. I thought that was wonderful because he showed concern for my physical wellbeing. He was professional and knew what to do to get my vehicle on the lift to be towed to my destination. On the ride home, he was a good conversationalist and a cautious driver. Jason is outstanding and I would want him to arrive to provide service for me anytime. Thank you, Jason, and please continue to provide excellent service to your customers.

The employee that came to change the tire on my car was very professional, courteous and proficient while changing my car. My wife and I enjoyed talking to him while he changed the tire. He helped.me by moving the flat tire back into the car. He cautioned me about not going over the marking on the spare tire. He responded quickly to our site and went right to work. Thank you very much for sending such a good and thoughtful employee. I am sorry that I did not get his name, due to the fact that I had a Welsh Terrier dog with me barking. I have had to use AAA before but in 60 yrs. That I have been a member this is the first time that I had anyone respond so quickly. Thank you and you employees for their fast service. Howard and Jennifer Wyatt. The service was around 1500 and1600 hrs.
Joe was extremely courteous, capable, and just overall a great person! I needed a tow on my truck to the dealership. He was very prompt, quickly (and safely) loaded my truck onto the tow, and we were on the way! He kept a great conversation going the entire drive and I felt very comfortable as he was polite and drove safely. He was fantastic! Great experience! I hope to never need their services again, but if I need a tow I will definitely be requesting Pro Tow & Recovery if this is the caliber of human they are employing.

Scott was AMAZING! He called me when AAA dispatched him to tow me. He needed to know I was safe. I was a true damsel in distress on the side of the road. He readjusted the current tow he was on so I wouldn't suffer any longer. He was gracious enough to make sure the mechanic at the garage could take care of me before he left. A truly chivalrous gentleman doing an honorable trade. I highly recommend.
I had a minor vehicle issue and used Pro Tow via AAA to move my vehicle to a local mechanic. Dean was EXTREMELY cautious loading my vehicle, insured both of our safety, was professional and courteous through the whole experience and made sure I was 100% happy with the service. Could not be more pleased as a customer.
We were on the way home from OBX and we noticed our truck shaking, we pulled over and realized our bearings went bad on front driver side. We called AAA and they sent them out. At first we were nervous because it said only 1 passenger and it was 2 of us. But after talking to Anthony he said give me 5 min I will see what I can do. Anthony called back and was able to call in Mike S on his day off to be able to get us both home safely ? we had to wait 2.5 hours but it was well worth it. Mike S was efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. He drove us 111 miles safely and got us home. We definitely recommend this company I give them an A+!
My Experience was a wonderful one with AAA and Pro Tow!! These Guys saved the day....The Tow Truck Driver Thomas was so kind, respectful and patient. My Tire exploded and was almost off the Rim. My Spare under my truck was difficult to remove because the safety latch was rusted...But Thomas did not give up and found a way to drop tire. Thanks Pro Tow and Thomas for your hard work! I will recommend everyone to these Guys?????
On vacation, our battery died while at dinner. Pro Tow came out to try to jump us, I think his name was Nick? Super helpful and tried everything he could to get it running but still no dice. And then they didn’t charge us because they were not successful in getting it started. I recommend them because they were quick to arrive and were very nice, and tried to help. Very happy with my experience even though it didn’t work.
