I have had a lot of work done on cars over the years, and I have NEVER been to a more crooked and incompetent repair shop. I came in with a specific issue already diagnosed and also asked them to check to see if any other repairs needed to be done. They said it would be $100 to check the whole car out. I agreed. They replaced a coil for $150 and charged me the $100 diagnostic but didn’t look at anything else on the car except the issue I told them AutoZone had already found. Scott told me that the $100 was just to diagnose the one issue. I argued that’s not what I was told, especially since I told them what needed to be done. He finally said he’d look at the car and came back with some small things like a faulty trunk seal and a bad tire pressure sensor. Said all was good. Next day, my car wouldn’t start and I was stranded - all bc Scott didn’t want to check my car out. I called him that morning to ask why he had missed such an obvious issue, and he said the prob was bc I was driving it rough and wires came loose. Whatttt?!!!! I know that he never examined the car. Either that or they are too incompetent there to know a problem when they see it. Scott literally said to me “I have to make money somehow” when I asked how he could charge so much for nothing. Unbelievable. I got RIPPED OFF!! Do not use this shop. I went to Christian Bros the next day and they checked my car out for free and found many major things that Smith’s missed all the while charging a bogus $100 fee. Avoid this terrible place.
15 years ago they would get 5 stars. Not now. Car towed on Friday at 11:15am. Called Monday at 3pm and still not worked on and maybe Tuesday it could be assessed. The excuse was "my guy has 2 other cars in front of mine." He seemed shocked that I asked him why he didn't call to tell us the status. Smith's towing seems to be awesome, so make sure you tow it to another garage.
I wish I could leave a better review, but I would be very wary of having my vehicle serviced here. This shop is currently very understaffed and the existing staff have a lot of health issues. This leads to 3-6 month lead times on work and they may drop projects.
Always excellent work and genuinely friendly. I have taken several different makes and models to them and they always do great work. Been going to them for all auto repairs for over 15 years, perhaps 20.
Please do NOT go to this shop. They will give you an estimate that’s not absolutely necessary. They charge way too much on labor and also add bogus charges and fees. They charged me a fee for bringing in my own parts and failed to mention that there ever was a fee before. So do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I’d rather go to a dealership than go here and I hate going to dealerships for any kind of issue. I hope this helps. Have a nice day.
Always a great business although they couldn’t help me to get home but could tow my vehicle. If done it again I would have thought about getting an Uber ? but never did. Thanks again Smith family for your service and I’ll will definitely get that Uber next time and get you to haul my vehicle home ?
I received excellent towing service. It was easy to reach someone via phone, the price was reasonable, the wrecker truck driver was very prompt, and safely towed my dump truck. When the need arises again, I'll surely call on Smith's again. I strongly recommend their towing services.
The starter on my truck went out in Indian Trail. I called Smith, they arrived very quickly and towed me to Concord. They driver was professional and a joy to ride with. Price was very fair.
Easy to work with and reliable. Smith Towing has done multiple Tows for my company and always is easy to reach, on scene very fast and affordable. I couldn’t ask for anything better in a Towing company. They will always be my first call whenever I need a Tow!!

The truck works, took them 3 days for brakes. And the quote was for less with more work. The actual price was more with less work. They will fix your car but you will pay for it. And the place close gave me a cheaper quote it was not easy to drive it there.
Excellent and quick service! Mike was very helpful, friendly and adaptive. I had a wheel torn out and he was very careful loading it in. Definitely a great place if you need to tow.

I do not recommend anyone taking their vehicle there. They are the most crooked shop around. I was quoted $49 in change for an oil change. after an hour the mechanic came to me and told me that the plastic threading for my oil filter was broken and it need to be replaced he was having a hard time removing it. it would take some additional time because they ordered the part and they're waiting for it to be delivered. At the end of 3 hours they handed me a bill for $160. The woman who was attempting to ring me up and charge me $160 got loud with me she was rude and unprofessional she called me lady and then she said if you ever problem you can talk to the shop manager. The shop manager approach me with a very smug attitude mind you for 2 hours no one said anything no one talked about in additional $60 which I had already made it clear that 100 was excessive and really out of my price range. The justification for those charges was I was charged hourly for labor I was charged for the oil change which was $14 in change I was been charged for the oil the filter $50 for the plastic part that the filter threaded into and apparently they broke a tool and they wanted me to pay for that as well. I told him not only did I not have $160 no one asked for my consent to do the work and then charge me which was very underhanded downright corrupt. He said you think so with a smile on his face. I said actually no I don't I know it's corrupt And you're making a huge mistake because I mean a lot of people on a daily basis and I intend to tell everyone I meet not to do business with you. He didn't seem to care. I said you also never asked me if I had $160 which I do not. He said how much do you have I said the most I can give you was 100 and believe me I was not happy about it because I know that I had been had and this is something they do with everyone unfortunately I didn't know that until after my horrible experience. my recommendation is to never ever do business with them I don't care if it's telling or mechanical these people are dishonest and they seem to have absolutely no integrity whatsoever.
Called extremely late on a Saturday night, broke down on 485. Called 5 companies prior to and all either didn't answer or charged $200 over the quote I received here. Friendly and professional on the phone. Called me when my vehicle was dropped off as a courtesy.... Hands down the best service i experienced. When your stranded, call these guys!!!
