I called this business to let them know I needed a new battery. I had purchased one from them about a year ago, and it had already died. The person on the phone told me to bring it in so they could test it and replace it if needed.
However, when I arrived, the person who helped me was rude and dismissive. He told me they don’t remove batteries from vehicles, so I had to figure out how to get it out myself and leave it with them for testing. Even though both Honda and Firestone had already confirmed the battery was bad, they insisted on running their own tests.
I ended up taking it down the street to the installer they work with, and the technician there confirmed the battery was completely dead. He told me to return and ask for a new one. When I went back, I was still told they needed to test it for an hour or possibly a full day and that I could get a loaner battery in the meantime.
The whole process felt like a runaround. It shouldn’t be this difficult to get a replacement for a faulty battery, especially under warranty. The customer service was poor, and the experience was frustrating. This place isn’t what it used to be—I won’t be buying another battery from them. Save your time and money and go elsewhere.
I’ve purchased like new refurbished car and truck batteries at a fraction of the cost here. I recommend Interstate Batteries to everyone. Their refurbished batteries have lasted just as long as new batteries in my experience.
He was willing to carry to car for me. When dead, he checked to make sure it was battery and not alternator. Unfortunately, if in a bind (cya) they can't help u change.
Do not allow your mechanic to install Interstate Batteries model# MR-S1R. It is known to be defective and you'll spend hundreds of dollars for the shop to figure it out.
In July 2022 I took my car in for an early minor tune up as we were moving and finding a honest, reliable mechanic isn't an easy task, especially for a woman. The only issue found was the car needed a new battery. The shop installed Interstate Batteries model# MR-S1R. We moved in Aug 2022. In Dec 2022 my car started having issues of intermittent starting with no interior lights. Upon checking battery connections, the car would start. After several instances, I contacted Interstate Batteries to locate a mechanic to replace the battery.
I contacted a local mechanic, told them of my issues and informed them all I wanted was for them to change my battery as it was under warrantee. They went through their list of possible issues and I explained why none of them were the issue. I informed them of the minor tune up in Jul 2022 and how the only work done was changing the battery. The shop told me to bring my car and they would test the battery and change it per the warranty. After sitting at the shop for 2 hour, they informed me they don't know what's wrong with my car. They said they would change the battery and test my car to ensure if was running properly. If there were still issues, then they would need to diagnostic testing on my car.
The shop had my car for 48 hours and I thought something was majorly wrong. Turns out they ran the diagnostics on my car before installing a new battery. When they finally changed the battery and all the issues stopped. When I picked up my car I was informed the battery was known to have issues. I was livid because they told me on the phone it wasn't the battery and needed to do diagnostic testing. The shop charged me almost the same amount of money I spent back in July 2022 when the battery was installed. The shop told me they were required by Interstate Batteries to prove the battery was defective. Even though it ended up being the battery, which was replaced under warranty, I ended up paying the mechanic for a known defective product.
Upon contacting Interstate Batteries to complain about the warranty process knowing their product was defective. They said they would investigate and reimburse if they thought their product was proven to be defective. Though they did reimburse paying for another battery, it didn't cover the forced cost of their required diagnostic testing. Some scam they have going on to rid hard-working people out of their money. Then I found out the shop could have installed any battery brand. Stay away from Interstate Batteries as they knowingly sell defective products.
Always really Good there I just had to have a battery exchange out under warranty just made it by a couple days never had a problem with these guys or I was real nice and very direct thank you for the good customer service
I was able to get great help with a battery here and would highly recommend going here to get your next battery. I got a great battery and a great price much better than the auto parts stores!
Cheap prices for rebuilt batteries. Denali battery was $60.00 including trade in instead of $135.00 plus what I normally pay. 6 month warranty. Greeted with smile and helped immediately.
all thier batteries are just used junk batteries.
every time you bring thier dead bateries back they just tell you it needs a charge when everyone else tells you it bad.
they need to go out of business for good.

Great prices on batteries! Less than half the cost of AutoZone and Pep boys batteries and just as reliable. Sometimes they don't have what you need in stock though so you may want to check availability before you just show up...also you have to change your own battery so be prepared.
I was given the wrong battery this past Friday afternoon. Upon realizing this I immediately called Interstate batteries around 4:30pm. Between that time and 5pm no one answered the phone. I was left without a car the entire weekend. Completely inexcusable and piss poor management. Do you guys do this everyday stop helping your customers and switch the phones over at 4:30pm to start your weekend early ?? I also left a message on Friday and my call has yet to be returned I won’t be doing business here again

they seem to be the best battery that money can buy. have one of them batteries installed in my TOYOTA , the specs for battery is far better than the competition. not a good network of dealers. U have to be real committed in order to find a place that selling that battery.
I bought another interstate battery for my ford ranger truck ( from 538 dynamic dr Garner nc ) back in Sep2018 ( refurbished one) the battery kept draining on its own and every time I had to jump start the truck in order to keep it going.
month later went back to the store and exchanged my battery for a brand new battery for a 2008 ford ranger 3.0 liter.no issues until 3 months later that my truck was not starting and had to tow it to mechanic shop and thinking it has some other problem causing it not to start. it turn out that the guy in 538 DYNAMIC DR GARNER NC sold me the wrong battery that not suited for my truck and does not have enough juice to keep the truck starting .
DO NOT BUY YOUR BATTERY FROM THAT LOCATION. THE DUMBASS WHO WORKS THERE DOESN'T KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THE BATTERY.
I've sold batteries here before and they pay good. However they refuse to return or honor their own warranty when one of their new batteries is obviously defective. They're used or refurbished batteries are just dead batteries they threw on a quick charger and they won't return them when you find out they're bad. Walmart sells brand new batteries for 50 new and there's is never difference between them at all. There is only one manufacturer of car batteries Johnson controls and they supply all the AutoZone advance auto Napa pep boys and interstate.
Go to Walmart.

Interstate has the best prices around as well. You can get a reconditioned warrantied battery from $30-$40 with a core trade in. Fast service, will continue to buy! I would recommend to at least try them out, you won't be disappointed!!
