These people are very unprofessional they towed my car for no reason the employee was very loud and hostile and accused me of messing with their trucks when I just wanted to get my car back and threatened to charge me over $800 to get my car back the Owner is a scammer don’t trust these people with anything!!!

Place is a scam . They are not true to their word I canceled service a week ago they still took my money and have yet to return it. They keep giving the run around. They are not professional. They are extreme thieves and a scam please please stay away. THIS COMPANY IS NO GOOD!!!!!
This company illegally booted my car in a paid parking garage and left a sticky note on my car that said “booted”. When I called the number provided a man pulled up within one minute in his personal vehicle, unmarked, with expired tags and without the proper documentation and demanded my license and that I pay him $250 in cash or $300 by card to get it off. Otherwise, he would go get a tow truck and then the price would be $350+. Luckily I was able to get in touch with the police on the nearby corner and have them come check it out. They explained to this man with “Xpress Towing” that he was committing an act of fraudulence and vandalism by illegally placing this boot on my vehicle in a paid parking garage. He refused several times and after being ordered to do so several times he finally took it off and threw them in the back of his trunk with about 10 other boots. This company just be reported immediately!! If I could give 0 stars I would but I needed to report this online as well for the safety of others in the Charlotte area!
I showed up for work at a site ! Called supervisor ! He told me to meet him at steak and shake on south blvd ! I asked him about my car ! He said it will be good here ! At lunch I came down car gone ! 350 later I have my car back ! My boss is trying to get me reimbursed but I doubt it !

Just want to give everybody a heads up make sure you park in between the lines when you go to this parking garage because if not they're going to boot your car and charge you $250 to $300 just to release your car for blocking another spot. So they hold your vehicle hostage until you pay them the required amount that they're asking for. They have a bunch of other parking spots that say if you park here you will be towed all the other parking spaces that are supposedly legal for you to park in when you pay does not have anything posted saying if you happen to take up two parking spaces that they're going to boot your car and charge you an absurd amount of money to release your car for blocking another parking spot instead of just charging you for the additional parking spot. It's ridiculous that they are even allowed to extort people like this, cuz I was legally parked in the required parking space just so happen to take up another legal parking spot which is not illegal. Where they could have just charged me for the two parking spaces which is more than fair because the argument is they cannot sell that parking spot so then charge me for that parking spot. Every parking spot that belongs to a resident right below is a sign that says you will be towed but nowhere in the parking spots that you are allowed to park does it say you will be booted and charged for parking over the line. SO PARKERS BEWARE!!!
Wow just where do I even start, from Kansas my tire blown out called everyone it was 8 pm called these people, first they said yeah we can do the tire and that they had a good used tire and they made me pay before, they would send someone. So I payied they said they would call 30 mins to say where the driver was. 45 mins go by we call them,they became rude they said another 10 to 15 mins and they will call back, waited 19 mins then we called them again and they go we take pleasure in not lying to customers but then lied to me no driver was coming because the tire was defected so then we tried to cancel because of there mistake but they wanted to keep 50 dollars I said no. They got extremely angry and started to threaten us about telling there sister company's not to help us. When this was all over it was 11 and we was still stranded
They don't deserve 1 star and I wish I could put a negative 5. This is the worst towing company I have ever called. If you are a manager and need parking lot enforcement for your property, then please do NOT use this people. First call and the guy that answered asked if I would call back to get someone else because he needs to pick up his child from daycare. Okay, no problem. The next 6 calls were made between 5pm and midnight for an illegal parked vehicle. No one ever showed up. This guy kept giving lie after lie. For 7 hrs you didn't have one truck available. Unbelievable. Needless to say, if you want to be left hanging then Xpress Towing is the perfect for that.
My handicap sticker was literally visible on my front seat but they still towed. Nothing but scammers. I understand you have to make money but don’t scam the average person to do so.
IF I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS that’s what i would have put. This place is a scam, they up the price while speaking to you. They damaged the vehicle on the front bumper and the rims, wouldn’t show their pictures or provide their insurance… had to get the police involved. Also, They try and make you pay in cash! or if you do card it’s a $50 PROCESSING fee! I would highly suggest if you need towing to go somewhere else! This place takes advantage of people and it needs to be shut down! Take the time and read all of the reviews.
If you want to beat towing and not pay !! Go above the property manager!! Most times property managers are In cahoots with the tow companies and are getting kickbacks from every car towed… get your corporate number and speak to them ….let them know this will be a financial hardship and you won’t be able to pay your rent ….they want their money ….they will instruct your property manger to instruct the company to give your car back or kill the contract….most companies will comply rather then kill the contract…. Also retain a copy of their insurance information…. Tow insurance is super expensive most companies can’t afford it or they don’t have the coverage that it takes to have your car on the back…. In order to tow certain vehicles they have to have million dollar coverage!! Also make complaints with the DMV ….Also take pictures and make sure they have proper tags !! If they did anything illegal report it ….Yall are complaining to the wrong people
We used this company to tow vehicles from 3 of the properties we manage, we were blocked from calling. No warning, nothing! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!

Towed my car even though I live in the neighborhood they towed me from. I got here 2 minutes after they closed (3:02) and I spoke to the lady prior to driving there and she still wouldn't let me get my car back. Even though she didn't leave until 3:10. She tells me to show up first thing tomorrow 7am, I show up and there is nobody there. I call and I get told the the person that is supposed to be there is "running 15 mins late". So even though I didn't do anything wrong, my car got towed and they didn't even have the decency to be open when they say so I can get to work on time. The front person was over 30 minutes late so I couldn't get my car. Great start to my week!
Terrible business
UNLAWFUL TOWING, they tow outside of their business hours and say that people have to wait till 7am and have a really bad attitude about it. they towed my friends car between 130-3 and when I called to ask to pick it up they said they have to wait till 7am. when we call to try to get it they trying to control everything making it hard to find a time to “make a appointment” to get it. we get there the dude says we coulda paid extra to get it out last night for a extra fee but that wasn’t told to us we was told “yall GONA wait till 7” so I’m not sure what kinda business they running. I understand the tow they don’t mind paying if they was parked in wrong spot or didn’t have the right pass. But trying to have an attitude, not releasing the car, making it hard for us to make an appointment to get the car is just low life energy.
Money ain’t an issue but the principals and morals as humans are disgusting. Inhumane and just not Honorable on any scale. 0 stars across the board
Unlawful Tow and price gouging. I live in an apartment complex called the Vinoy at Innovation Park. This morning I was awoken by a noise outside my window. I looked to see a tow truck towing my friends car that had a visitors pass on the dashboard from in front of my garage.
My friend and I went out to immediately speak to the drive to tell him that the tow was unlawful, he said to take up the matter with the apartment complex. I asked would there be a drop fee and was told there was none and that Xpress Towing opened at 7am.
We went to the Towing office and paid $300.00 cash for the car to be returned. If we did not have cash they would charge the tow fee plus twenty percent for using any other form of pymt other than cash. The fee was paid. I took up the matter with the leasing office and discovered that if a visitor was visiting someone who had a garage that parking was allowed. The Vinoy called a Mr. Robert at Xpress Towing and Recovery who was uncoopertative and would not admit to fault or refund the money that they charged for the unlawful tow.
I wish the business would do right by those that they have wronged when the party that they are contracted through alerts them immediately of the error....regretfully this business does not appear to function on doing what is right when a wrong is pointed out to them.
I wish I could rate lower. TERRIBLE company. They towed my car at MY OWN APARTMENT complex which had proper registration and a parking permit, they refused to apologize because THEIR employee "couldn't locate the parking permit sticker" that was clearly on my vehicle. I was this close to suing. If anyone knows the man with the giant fake steve harvey teeth and bad attitude, tell him to do better at running a business. It was a bad attempt of trying to get an easy $200 which I did not pay. Thank you!
The fees are ridiculous. $250 to pick up my car, which was towed. I called in the morning to make sure they had my car, which they did. When I Ubered there, they guy tried to tell me that I would need two forms of identification. Which he didn’t tell me over the phone, when I called that morning. He really asked “do you have a passport with you”? Who in the world brings that around with them.
Second, he tells me that it’s a $60 convenience fee to pay with card!!! $60!!! Then he tells me there is a 7/11 down the road and they have an ATM there. So I had to Uber to the 7/11, then Uber back to the towing place. I gave him $260 in cash (most ATMs only give out $20’s), he proceeds to tell me that he DOESN’T have any change and that I couldn’t give him $240. So I ask what’s going to happen to my $10? He goes “that’s between you and the owner”. I said “how can you send me to an ATM knowing that they only have bills of $20?” He literally goes “I don’t know, this hasn’t happened to me before, people always pay the exact amount.”
This place should not be in business. Super slimy and shady. I understand that towing is your business. However $60 fee’s and not giving people change. Super irritating and irresponsible. Places like this should not be in business.
They just towed my car 3 weeks ago and charged me 250 I only had 20’s the man told me they didn’t have change so he kept my $10. then they towed my car again last night and told me 385 then when I told them I wasn’t paying that much they lowered it down to 330. Then the man told me to write my name number and apartment number on a sticky note, then folded it up and put it in his pocket!!! They are the most weirdest nastiest towing company I’ve ever encountered!!! They need to be shut down IMMEDIATELY!!!
My car was towed from my new apt complex but technically they wasn't suppose to begin towing until residents were notified.. had to pay 250 granted I was parked in a unmarked location but they wouldn't know that if they wasn't out there. "BOB" said he understood and I ask for ar least half of my money bavk.. I understood it has I was getting g just that... This man gave me a food gift card for 30 damn dollars saying g ge had yo pay out his pocket. He'll I had to borrow the money at 3 in the morning. .. be aware
Xpress towing and recovery is hands down the best towing company in the business! I was left stranded by another company because they said they couldn’t tow my vehicle. Xpress got my vehicle towed and I could not thank them enough. Next time I need a tow or any of my friends or family need a tow I will only call on them because I can rely on them to get the job done and at a reasonable price
Damaged my brand new Hellcat by improperly towing my vehicle. Showed the owner pictures of my car I had taken the same day prior to them towing with no damage and was able to point out the point of contact from the tow truck boom that damaged my car to which the owner responded disrespectfully whenever I pointed the damage out. I didn’t mind paying the ridiculous towing fee because I can own up and take responsibility for my mistakes. But when it comes to these cowards and con artist don’t expect them to do the same. Please avoid this business and their shady practices at all cost!!!
Unprofessional, disrespectful, and yes they will try to extort you for $250-$300 dollars. They will tell you that they only accept cash when they have a sign where legally they have to accept all forms of payment. DO NOT pay them on CASH if you see this. Call the police and pay however you want to. Their contracts with others are not clear and they will lie to cover their mess and manipulate the situation. They are not understanding at all. Definitely shady and powered by greed. If you use a card for payment they charge $50-100 dollar processing fees as a tactic to get you to use cash. They hand write agreements for you to sign (DO NOT) sign them. Pay how you want and afterwards take care of the issue legally and with your banks.
This company is a scam and only wants money. Please DO NOT use their services and call the police if they attempt to take your vehicle unless you give them $250. They charged my account and I am disputing the amount charged. "Bob" the black man, hit my 73 year old mother with the metal bar because he wasn't paying attention when he was attempting to tow my car. We are speaking with an Attorney now. This company should be SHUT DOWN! They are money hungry and will do anything to get money! I am going to contact Action 9 and have them to investigate this company! Any business that doesn’t take credit cards should not be apart of the BBB. They are LIARS and PREY on people innocent people for money! I called this company numerous times and I received three different stories!
There is nothing professional about this company and all they do is ride around and find cars that they can tow and make up lies to justify their actions! As they have in my case! They haven’t heard the last of me! Upon looking at the reviews I see that this company has done alot of unethical things. Right is Right and Wrong is Wrong but, VICK your company was very WRONG in this case. You were very rude and I will not stop until this company is investigated thoroughly. They did not have any receipts and the only options to pay was using cash, which I feel is very shady and probably don't pay taxes either. Everybody that wrote a review need to report this company, so that they can't be in BUSINESS anymore for making unauthorized towing pick ups.
I really appreciate all the reviews that were posted about this company, because this is definitely going to help me build my case against this company. My ultimate goal is to make sure that they do not take any advantages of anyone else!!!
This company is not apart of BBB and if you had an issue with this company please report to BBB. This should be done so that they can review the complaints and start the investigation process.

Out of ALL the cars on my side in the apartment complex I live in, my car is the ONLY one that gets towed AGAIN while additional cars with expired tags are here parked right by mine. It's at least 5 to 10 vehicles with expired tags on my side. It's one RIGHT in front of the building with expired tags and they skipped right over that one and they still managed to take only mine once again. We are still in the middle of a pandemic and y'all towing cars to get ya rocks off. Not to mention the fee to get ya car out is RIDICULOUS!
Had a warning sticker on my car from this towing company while parked in a resident space at an apartment complex I live in. The car had a current tag and resident parking sticker in a visible place. The warning had “other” as the reason. The company said it was because the car hadn’t been moved “in a while.” In this case that was 5 days. I’m working from home in the middle of a pandemic and I’m at risk. I could see if it had been weeks, but 5 days? The apartment manager will be talking with this company. This is a predatory towing company and should be avoided at all costs.
THIS TOWING COMPANY SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS!!! I RECORDED THEM IN MY COMPLEX TOWING A VAN AND PULLED IT TO THE SIDE AND WENT INSIDE OF THEIR CAR!!!! I CALLED THEM AFTER THE INCIDENT AND ASKED DO THEY GO INSIDE OF CARS WHEN THEY TOW AND THEY CLEARLY TOLD ME NO. WELL I HAVE VIDEO PROOF OF THEM DOING JUST THAT. THEY TOWED MY CAR AND TRIED TO SAY MY TAG WAS NOT IN THE CAR AND IT WAS AND THEY STILL WANTED ME TO PAY TO GET MY CAR OUT!.. It seems like we always find ourselves being towed but it is what it is when you’re in the wrong.
Call and ask for their address, they answer pretty quick and they’ll text you so be on the lookout for that. They take cash only so be prepared (in my experience it’s always best to have exact change regardless of which towing company you’re working with).
Also be aware that the owner of the vehicle has to be there with ID to pick up the car. I know, it’s pretty inconvenient but that’s how it goes.
They stay open pretty late (till 6pm) which is nice considering work hours but I was advised to call beforehand to make sure someone is there.
Besides losing money again, it was a pretty painless process. They’re friendly people, we were in and out.
Wish I could give NO stars. 1) Towed my car from in front of my own apartment because I forgot to put my sticker on it. Ok, I'll own that part, BUT 2) Phone number was disconnected so I could not make arrangements to get information about where and how and how much it would be to get my car. 3) Refused credit card - CASH only, very sketchy.... 4) Damaged my car when they pulled it out backward and at an angle - I could tell it was off when driving it so I immediately took it to my mechanic and had to have the alignment redone which was just done 2 weeks ago. I would recommend any apartment complex that contracts with them to cancel and go with a decent professional towing company but THIS AIN"T IT
