After getting the OK frome Duke, CBC came quickly to start and complete the dredging we needed for our new dock. Their work was fantastic and completed in a short amount of time. We highly recommend them.

Shoreline Retainer Wall and Rip Raff Stabilization: Blake of CBC Stone and his dad arrived on site and acknowledged the challenges of our retainer wall request, but still took on the job. Their rates were very affordable and reasonable for such a challenging lakeshore incline mission. Both crews arrived on time daily and kept us abreast of their every move. Crews were very professional and very knowledgeable of their assigned task. The completed job is well beyond what we expected. We highly recommend CBC Stone due to their attention to detail, pride in their work, professionalism, integrity, and most of all their willingness to work around your budget. Excellent Job! I’m wasn’t entirely impressed with the 2 hot rod dump trucks racing up highway 16 this evening. Being a large car operator myself, I wouldn’t normally complain. However, the tandem dump came over on me way too early and peppered the front end of my four wheeler with rocks. I will give it to you, that little Peterbilt looked like it ran pretty good. P.S. thanks for the fresh rock chips.

CBC Stone & Recycling was contracted to install Boulder rip rap to transform 105’ of shoreline - absolutely beautiful. This was done via barge and completed in 2 days time. We are extremely satisfied with the results and the experience / professionalism of the crew. We have used CBC in the past for granite work and this was the main reason I selected them for the rip rap work.

CBC was very good at keeping me posted with the permits process. Tina us very good to work with. The talent and experience of the equipment operators where very impressive. I highly recommend CBC.

Called them on Monday or Tuesday and met with their representatives on Thursday. They were very flexible about my needs and made the adjustments to their proposal quickly. Told me they would do the paving on Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon. They arrived and started the job on Tuesday just after noon and completed the work a few hours later. Best part was they beat a competing company by 24% on their price.

Our shoreline renovation project was just completed by CBC. Every step of the way through the process from beginning to end was the kind of textbook perfection that you rarely see today. Starting with Tina, who has considerable knowledge of the business, and was able to answer every question with confidence. Bobbie and Janice, who were both highly responsive to our administrative questions in an timely fashion. It is obvious that Cody enjoys what he does immensely, and presented a very professional demeanor in our conversations with him that we enjoyed. We recently contracted CBC to install Rip Rap on our shoreline. We are extremely satisfied with the job. They did exactly what we agreed upon. They assisted us with the permitting process, were very professional from our first encounter with Tina, and Dakota was an excellent lead on the job. No fault of theirs, we had a 2.5 inch rainfall with their equipment in our yard - they repaired their tracks when the job was complete. Highly recommend.

Our experience with CBC Stone & Recycling, LLC was absolutely topnotch! They provided us with stone to landscape around a pool we just put in. We live out in the country and are about 2 tenths of a mile off the road. They brought in their own heavy duty equipment and were absolute masters at using that equipment so as to get the job done without tearing up any of the landscape around where they were working. Communication with them was totally positive, professional and always responsive. They got the job done beautifully in record time. We would definitely highly recommend them and would use them again!

CBC replaced my entire seawall using a barge. The result is beautiful--the Virginia stone that will hold up forever along with the cap, plus rip rap matching the stone. Yes, the stone cap made a difference. They cleaned up well. Worked continuously until it was done. Salvaged all trees. Tina is a top notch supervisor and very knowledgeable. It took months to get me in but the lake was too low to do the work until November.

I love my new seawall! CBC gave me their best recommendation for my house and I took them up on it. They did a great job with the installation. I am amazed at the transformation, and so are my neighbors! We have had so many positive comments about the wall. They also added some steps for us and they look fantastic. It is so beautiful and they did a great job. I couldn't be happier and plan to have them come back and do some additional work in the future.

CBC repaired/reshaped/stabilized almost 500 feet of our shoreline that had existing rip rap that was continually failing. The job they did looks fantastic and will last forever...even against wakeboard boaters. Their office staff guided us through the permitting process. The installation crew was extremely capable...they knew what they were doing. This crew was careful of our property, keep us updated during the project, and left our property every day in very clean shape. I would highly recommend them!

As owner of Stutts Marina and having a bad experience with our first dredge company, CTC Dredge, owned by Chris Handy; the professionalism, communication and experience of CBC Stone coming in and taking over our major expansion surpassed our expectations. They kept us compliance with local agencies meaning Duke Energy, Water Quality and Iredell County Erosion Control. With Chip, Tina and Bobbie on our side, our only obstacle was this massive amount of rain we all have experienced. Their experience with permitting is exceptional. I recommend them as the number one dredge and shoreline stabilization company on Lake Norman.

Janice, Bobbie and Tina were wonderful from the beginning. They were very prompt with everything we asked from them. They demolished a mobile home and outbuilding first. Then we needed our storm drain relocated as soon as possible and they came out following day and completed the job. They also installed sandstone on our shoreline after the storm drain work. Their workers Cody and Alex did an awesome job for us. Everyone went above and beyond to exceed our expectations. We would recommend this company to anyone!

Great group of people to work with. They are very professional and do excellent work. I would strongly recommend these folks to anyone needing stone work. The crews are friendly, hard working, considerate of the customer's needs and feelings. Clean up on occurred daily. All conditions needing attention we're immediately reported and addressed.

I would not recommend this company. The work is fine and the guys on the job were excellent. The office staff are rude and lack communication between themselves and customers. We waited almost 8 months to get our job completed! They did not submit our permits when they told me. I constantly called and followed up and 3 months later, they realized nothing was submitted. Poor customer service!

Before giving these people any money or contract read this: I gave them a $1,000.00 deposit and a contract on June 11. Since then I have asked on many (many!) occasions for them to communicate with me via email and voicemails. They ignored every single one (I’ve kept them all should they find this review offensive!) Finally I called on September 16th and spoke with Tina on the phone, who was plane rude and unapologetic for my treatment - three months of ignoring direct requests for information on the status and communication. I called the owner Chip Bridges on his personal cell immediately following and he made justifications for ignoring every email I sent and a voicemails. Then Tina, the one responsible for the horrible customer treatment, called an apologized. However, since that call I’ve had 3 more emails ignored. Today I sent an email expressing my frustrations and asking for either a) a definite date of completion or b) a refund of my deposit. I also requested a personal call from Chip Bridges, the owner, so I could be sure he knew what was going on (you know how people like to cover their tracks) Chip totally avoids the concern and actually has Tina call me, Sept 30, and she says “dredging season ends in mid-February and I don’t expect it will take that long. I cannot guarantee when we will get to your job. You are number 8 on the list.” Really? It could take 8 months to get me in? I get the permitting process takes some time, but 8 months! She then follows up with “Have you looked around to see what other dredging companies schedule looks like” – a veiled threat that if I change companies now that I may be stuck! Yes, that’s probably true, I would be, but I’d rather give someone else more money for less hassle and aggravation. I asked her if she ignores all her clients, she says “no, you’re the only one”. When asked “Well, based on that can’t you at least give me preferred treatment and give me a date”. She plainly says “no.”. This company, from the owner to the scheduler to the receptionist are unprofessional, and oblivious to their internal problems. Finally, I asked her how she’d feel if she had this much problem with a small business and the owner ignored a request for communication and instead sent the person who was the problem in the first place… she said “I’d probably ask for my check back”. So, that’s what I’ve done. I would like a full refund of my money, plus the deposits and application fees. I am now stuck with waiting until next year to get my dredging completed and do not feel I should be responsible for this. As a matter of note: I have two people in the building process of my home state this is their reputation. One of these was a client through his family.
