Came in on the 19th of this month to drop off a load of scrap. I'd never been there before and I was Super Happy with the Staff and Overall Service and Convenience. My 1 experience with M.M. has made it my Go To Place. Plan on stopping in a few times Tomorrow. And every time after that I need recycling Services. Top Notch. M. Boone.

I have always had good experiences there with a couple of my friends who recycle there. Was going to go with one the other day as a quick in and out and they said they don't accept any type of customer after 4:15. If so change your hours. Edit: The response makes it clear they didn't read, if you close at 4:15 change your hours to 4:15 not 4:30

I've come here several times to drop off metal to recycle. Their employees are always so friendly.

1st time going there and good experience! Friendly people average prices for scrap metal. They also ha r alot of items for sale some are good treasures and others are in need of lots of work to repair them but from what I seem and inquired about they did have more than reasonable prices on their items for sale. As with any scrap yard you have to have the different types of metals separated to get the exact price of aluminum, steel and copper.

I've been taking recyclables to Metal Monkeys for years. They are always so nice and helpful. Julian, in particular, is a good guy.

The gentleman where very nice. Even helped to unload my truck.

I always seem to find something cool here. Last week I came with an old furnace, and left with a huge gun safe! Lol. The staff here are just about the friendliest around and it's always a pleasure. This is more than just a scrap yard people! 5 out 5 stars all day.

I took some copper,, brass, aluminum today after several years of not having gone up there and I have to say customer service was outstanding and the prices were very fair! They might pay a tiny bit less but being a woman and having to go by myself this is the ONLY scrapyard I feel comfortable going to alone. Which is well worth the couple bucks I may have issued out on!! I'm glad I didn't pay attention to the negative reviews, maybe it's a new owner since people's bad experiences but I certainly did not see what they were talking about. Will definitely go there next time!

I had a bunch of aluminum cans to get rid of. On Mondays and Thursdays they pay more. I checked around and they were the highest. Easy, friendly service. You have to show Identification to process the transaction. Quick and efficient and I was in and out in a flash.

Great place to recycle all types of metals. They pay a fair price, are more than willing to help u unload and i will be doing business there again soon. They also have a large selection of things for sale at a terrific price such as appliances, generators, lawn tools, etc. 5 star business in my book!!!

Funny how Friday I left review how telling howcheat customers along with reading many with same complaint. Their rating was 3.4, over the weekend it jumped to 4.0. Shows how they deceive people. I took over 200 lbs with lots of non steel They paid me $9.00. Watch like a hawk. I'm reporting them to better business bureau and the people who consumer undercover investigations. They make more money because sale and go through stufthey buy like scavengers, look like Walmart or a flea market.

Worst paying for copper national average for number 1 is 3.36 now I understand 10 20 maybe 25 cent less but they told me 1.16 for number one tubing that place will rob u I had to get the lady the last time I went also to fix my ticket by about 20 pounds and to the owner ,if you don’t think your business deserves a one star your blind then and I didn’t have steel screws in my copper why would anyone have screw in copper pipe you sound like you deserve a one star also omisource and DH griffin blow you out the water and then you make the screws thing up to make you feel better well you shouldn’t because it’s a lie and your business is Terrible if you ask me your only looking out for yourself ????????

By far the best scrap yard I have been to everyone there is so nice, and they won't rip you off.

Went by there today (5/20/20). Looks like scrap welder heaven! I can't believe I've missed that place the other times I've been thru there. All kinds of goodies to check out. The folks I talked to were very nice and accommodating. Ya gotta keep an eye on that goat, tho'! d;^) ..It was a bit cold and wet ta spend too much time rummaging but the one item I picked up the lady priced it fairly. ..Just act like ya have some common sense. It's a "working" kindof place and I'm sure the "selling" part of it is prolly more of a sidebar. I really appreciate it since moving here from the ILM area I've sorely missed Southern Metals (similar operation, just MUCH bigger). Thanks much for y'all's efforts and I'll be back often (with stick in hand for that onery old goat Hehehe)! d;^)

So I have a ton of metal of all sorts to recycle and I am so grateful for all the people that left reviews stating they felt they were getting ripped off. I went here about a year ago and thought they paid me really low for all the metal I dropped off and only wished I had read the reviews sooner.

Polite people, but called and was quoted 5 cents a pound for spent brass cartridge cases, when other sources were quoting $1.40 per pound.

I called to inquire about scrap copper. I have never scrapped metal before so I had no idea what to expect. I was told over the phone that my copper is probably only worth .30 cents a pound because it was LTE. I said that seemed low and he returns with 1.00 a pound. With such a big difference I knew that 1. They were trying to take advantage or 2. They had no idea what they were talking about. So I naturally went some place (DH Griffen) and with no questions asked they gave me 1.60. So they took my business.

Very nice and helpful people. Took washer to recycle and they unloaded and gave fair price. Also, only place we found opened on Saturdays and they have items up front for sale to browse through. Will go back when I have anything else that needs recycling and I want to make a few bucks.

If you don’t pay attention on the scale where they weight the metals they rip u off. It happens to me.

Nice people but prices not so much 2000 lbs of scrap 2 only paid out $63 ? I called around other places paying double that. Will not be going back .

I'm sure this is a great place to sell scrap metal, and have it recycled. I'm a welder/artist and I build stuff out of scrap metal. Not the best place to buy material for this purpose. Although they told me they sell scrap metal, I was going to have to climb into dumpsters at the same time loaders were throwing scrap in there. For me, being unsafe isn't worth, getting a couple pipes for. It's not really a scrap "yard" as I thought. It's more of a metal disposal facility. That ended up not being super helpful for my needs, but once again, I'm sure they are a great place to sell your scrap.

Check DH Griffin prices before coming here. The sign of best prices is false advertising. 20 cent more else where for BB copper. Friendly service and cute woman cutting checks. Not sure if that's enough for me.

We've taken several loads of scrap to Metal Monkeys over the past few years, from pick-up bed loads to proper tonnage. They've got some great people there, and of course they're right down the road, which doesn't hurt.

First time I had ever been was today. Had a good experience. Used to go to the omnisource in kernersville. Definitely will be only taking my business here.
