Warning drivers, I normally don't post my opinion but if you have to deliver to this place and if you value your equipment do not ! The crane opetater is absolutely careless, they make you sign a waver for damage to your equipment before offloading you. I honestly don't think they care about the damage they cause and they don't handle the offloading with care
Guys don't follow the big metal recycling trucks(in picture) they are going somewhere else!! Look at the blue line on my map and that's where you go and scale(Retail scale)!! Soon as you pull into the gate make a immediate right onto the scale! This comment is for Dry Van 53 ft trucks 🚒 I gave 5 stars not because of the place but the kind lady who came up to me in the long line and pointed me in the right direction ⬆️
I had stopped using Kernersville location 15 years ago but cant even remember why, I might try them again. I dont scrap regularly I just save for a year or two and make a trip so not a professional opinion.
If I could give zero stars I would. This place has no concern for drivers. Sometimes taking 3 hours or more to get unloaded. Yard train clogs up the scale causing long line to scale in or out. On average, expect to spend an hour or 2 getting in and out.
Unbelievable how long it takes just to dump a load hear have spent as long as 3 hours to dump a load that doesn't take less than 5 minutes to dump cross the scale and they say good to go you got another hour and a half wait very unorganized hear if they can't keep up with the truck demand run 3 shifts we ain't rolling we ain't getting paid
If you are delivering dey van u must scale in(to the right of the entrance) opens @ 7:30. Then you will make a uturn and unload on the other side of the building. Once empty return to scale for empty weight and paperwork. In out about an hour.
Don't waste your time if you have aluminum cans to recycle. You have to bring them all the way out to the Winston-Salem location which is absurd especially if you're a Kernersville resident. Not even worth saving the aluminum cans anymore because you're not gaining anything from it by time you add the unnecessary fuel expense to drive them elsewhere.
