After trying many Burke county car repair shops (including various dealers), I have found that no one can compare to Autowork's professionalism. And, I have noticed that other county shops bring their problem cars to Autoworks. .

Mr Johnny and the team at Autoworks in Valdese NC are an integral part of helping me to keep my vehicle running well and getting the most from it. They are very upfront about what needs to be done and what it will cost and allow me to be in the “driver seat“ about which services I will do now and what I will do later. These gentlemen are respectful, they listen and are attentive to detail and I truly appreciate them so very much.

I try to do my own maintenance but when a difficult problem arises I trust all my vehicles to the crew at Autoworks. They are pros through and through. ASE certified. I don't worry about taking anything back because it was done incorrectly. They text me from time to time to see if there is anything I need done and if my cars are well. Who does that? Valdese is fortunate to have this repair shop!

I don’t trust many people working on my vehicle as I went to school for it. I hate working on vehicles tho. And the guys over at Autoworks did an amazing job on my 97 ford brakes were locking up. They even checked my check engine light and didn’t even have to ask. These guys do a super job quick a professional. No shade tree mechanics here. Thanks autoworks even came with a 12,000 mile warranty whole does that!! Thanks Jon!!!

Autoworks Of Valdese is my preferred car repair place. They get it right. They don’t try to bamboozle me. I bypass many places to get to them because their service is great. They do exactly what I think they should do and that is surprisingly hard to find.

I love the guy’s at Autowork. They have been taking care of all my vehicles since 2019. From a ‘24 Honda to a 1967 Mustang. I trust Doug, Johnny, Ritchie and the crew to make sure my vehicles running smoothly and safely. They’re wonderful.

When i dropped off my vehicle , they were full of customers . And told me it would be the following week before they could get to my truck , just later that evening if there was a empty sopt just pull it in and . They would get to it as soon as possible . Theses guys was amazingly a good place . I couldn't got any better place to work on my truck . Two days after dropping it off they called me and gave me a price befor working on it I agree on the price very next day they called to pick it up . Excellent work, timely, fashion. Great service. And friendly as can be. Would totally recommend this service to anyone? And everyone in need, thanks, you guys

First time letting Johnny work on my car. I had a great experience with AutoWorks. Got my car fixed quicker and cheaper than originally quoted. Most definitely will use these great guys again.

Autoworks of Valdese has taken care of all of my vehicles since 2014. I found them at the recommendation of another auto service shop that stated that Autoworks does all the repairs on their personal vehicles. I can't say enough good about Autoworks of Valdese. They have helped me get my 2004 Suburban to 440,000 miles, my 2002 Trailblazer to 340,000, and my 1994 Ranger still runs like new. Various other vehicles for my 3 young adults have been taken care of by these fine folks. Our recent purchase of a Traverse will get the Autoworks treatment through its lifespan as well. The men at this shop are down to earth, honest, transparent and extremely knowledgeable. They expect that out of all of their mechanics as well and you see it as they interact with one another and others. The methodical way in which they diagnose problems and then propose a solution is always spot on. If me or my relatives were to ever need an artificial heart, I would see if Autoworks would do the work. If they couldn't, I would at least get them to source the parts. The men at Autoworks have become a part of my family and my adult children now feel the same way. I can't speak more highly of their integrity of always doing the right thing. If they say it, you can count on it.

This review is a long time coming and an aggregate of THREE things in the past year on my 2019 Ford Expedition that brought me to Autoworks. I know several folks that are happy customers, including two fleet managers that highly recommended them. The local saying with everyone about Doug/Autoworks is "they are a little more expensive than some other mechanics, but it's done right and guaranteed." The first time was last summer with a hard to find leak in a OEM heater hose that another (good and trusted) mechanic couldn't locate, so I contacted Autoworks. From the first contact when I initially spoke to Johnny, I had complete peace of mind. I know (now) that Johnny is primarily the front desk and phone man, and is very easy to talk to, polite, and PATIENT, even though other lines are ringing and folks are walking in. He answered all my questions that he could answer, but obviously he wasn't able to commit to causes or diagnoses over the phone. This led to an appointment and a determination of the culprit (the OEM heater hose). Once fixed, I have had no further issues with that. I then used them to repair the Cam Phasers on my vehicle (a known issue Ford will not warranty) and while the cost was very high, I know from online research that Autoworks charged less than other garages and dealerships on this exact repair. Then after a "service" in another town my transmission started going out. The first place made a noble attempt to repair it but three weeks later it malfunctioned again. I knew Autoworks would fix it so I took it there. I did get a second estimate and it was $2200 MORE than Autoworks(!) so it went back to Autoworks. I hate spending that much money but it is doing well-and they even checked it for me for free a couple weeks later before we took a long trip on it when I was smelling burning fluid (which turned out to be a loose OIL FILTER and not the transmission-this was the fault of my oil change service a week earlier.) I can't recommend Autoworks highly enough-and that is from someone who spent almost $11,000 there in the past year.

The people here are very friendly and very good at what they do. They are always efficient, have reasonable prices, they communicate well and do a fabulous job. I own a " vintage" Volvo and I wouldn't take it anywhere else. I love these guys! Thanks for the great job you always do!

They do thorough work and go above and beyond to get to the bottom of the issue. Then check with you after to make sure you are satisfied with their service. 5 stars because they've never tried to sell me an air filter. But they really are the best. You can feel safe taking your vehicles here, knowing you'll get fair pricing and excellent repairs or maintenance. I won't take my vehicles anywhere else.

We were referred to Autoworks due to their expertise in servicing Volvos. Within an hour of my appointment time, I received a call informing me what the problem was, what the estimate was, when they expected the part to arrive and when the job would be completed. After the shipping cost for the part increased the estimate, they called me immediately with the new information. The car was done on time, and I again received a call notifying me that it was ready. I was extremely happy with the quality of the work, the promptness in getting it done, and especially the communication. I will be returning to Autoworks and highly recommend them!

I've gone to Autoworks for several years now. They always go above and beyond. They do great work and are very honest. When service takes longer than expected, they do their best to make up for that, even when the delay is not their fault. Very friendly, very professional, absolutely the best place to go.
