What clients say about WNC Tire in Swannanoa (NC)

My first experience with this business, and I was very satisfied with them. Ordered the specific tires I requested, called me the next day when they arrived, as promised. Tires and TPMS sensors replaced in about 30 minutes. No unexpected charges on the invoice. Friendly staff as well. I highly recommend base on my experience there.

I was passing through town and my low pressure light came on. I went to WNC Tire and they showed me that my two rear tires were showing wire and my fronts were not far behind. They put 4 new tires on for me with no appointment in 25 minutes and they were more affordable than I expected. Amazing service!

This is my 3rd set of tires from WNC Tire. The service and price is unmatched in my experience. I highly recommend them. I love that you don’t need an appointment! They always take me right in within minutes of arriving.

I went to another shop with a severely bent rim and they couldn’t help me. They recommended WNC Tire so I went there to see if they could help. They straightened my rim and replaced my damaged tire in under 30 minutes. Great customer service and nice guys too.

I truly appreciate the honesty and integrity shown. The service provided was exceptional, and it made a real difference. It's rare to encounter such genuine professionalism, and I want to acknowledge it fully. Thank you for going above and beyond—your efforts are truly recognized and valued

This place for tires is the best, Customer service is A+, And in their prices they are very considerable, I highly recommend it to everyone out here that want to buy and have there tires checked or replaced.

Brody was extremely patient while I asked 100 questions about way to many tires :)! I got Cooper tires for less than any other shop in Asheville had them priced at. There is also a rebate for buying Cooper tires that started today. With no appointment I was in and out in less than 20 minutes! Thank you Brody, and a big thank you to the gentlemen that installed my tires!

We were camping and needed a new tire before we could move on. They got us in right away and were very helpful and accommodating. Would definitely recommend them!

I have been running a company here in WNC for 25 years. It's getting harder to find companies that provide a top shelf service with a quality product. These guys have outfitted my company trucks for many years and all my personal vehicles come here too. I love the no fuss let's get it done attitude and service here at WNC Tire. I'm usually in and out in under 30 min. How can you complain about that? Thanks for getting us down the road guys.

They got all 4 tires done in 30 min!! Newer workers with great attitude and ton of experience. And the prices were great, would come here again

I go here all the time and I love it because there’s never a wait, whereas every other tire place in Asheville you have to wait hours for service because they have more customers. I think it’s because of all the weird signs telling you to be nice and the owners weird immature responses to negative online reviews which gives them a poor reputation around town. Anyway I’m thankful for the owners lack of maturity and whining in public because I never have to wait! If you can ignore the signs it’s a great spot with fast service!

Excellent service! I took my son's car in with a tire that had been leaking. He took it to another place the day before and they put a new valve stem in it...This morning the tire was flat...Bought it in here to WNC tire and they found the screw in the sidewall..We got 4 new tires mounted for at least $150 cheaper, and a better quality tire which is also all weather...Very satisfied and I have now found my new tire store...

The team here was incredibly helpful! My tire pressure light came on for the right rear tire, and I assumed I’d need a whole new set. I walked in ready to buy, but the gentleman at the desk offered to check the tires first just to be sure. Turns out it was only a nail I hadn’t noticed. Instead of spending $200, I walked out with a simple $20 repair. I really appreciate the honesty especially these days. I’ll definitely be back when I actually need a new set!

Great service with flexibility to mount tires I could afford to buy online. They have good options but I had to go low and their fees to professionally balance and mount were very fair. Good helpful attitude and policies. Worth the short drive from East Asheville. I highly recommend this place, as did my mechanic shop Curtis HiTech.

After reading the mixed reviews, I decided to give WNC Tire the benefit of the doubt. Over the phone, Brody was very kind and helpful and ultimately I went with his Tire recommendation after the many questions I had for him. The tires arrived to the store quickly, and the next day I was already having them installed. Upon picking up my truck, Brody mentioned noticing a bend in the rim, but that if I hadn’t noticed anything before I wouldn’t notice anything after. The next day I noticed severe shaking at speeds approaching 65mph. I called Brody, and he said no problem, they’d be happy to take a look at it. When calling me to come pick up the truck again, he reiterated the bend. I mentioned the severe shaking at 65mph was completely new, and he replied “The placebo effect is powerful drug”. I thought that insulting and very surprising given our friendly exchanges to this point, but brushed it off and went to pick up my truck. He showed me a iPhone video showing the bend in the rim, which was thoughtful and appreciated, but again I mentioned the simple fact that there wasn’t severe shaking before the tires were put on and now there is. He replied they did all they could to diagnose the problem and made a few tweaks that might help. “Cash or charge” he replied. I respectfully questioned the fact that I should be responsible for paying to fix a problem they created. At which point Brody, became angry, and ultimately says, “Well you look like the kind of person who drives a Prius, what would you know about these kind of tires” and then slams the office glass door in my face and turns around to chat with his coworker. The irony of being treated this way surrounded by “No Karens allowed” signs is laughable now, but at the time the scene was pretty despicable and disappointing. Thankfully, rebalancing the tire/s had solved the shaking, so there’s that, but being treated this way doesn’t make for repeat business.

A couple of years ago, I happened to stop by WNC Tire with an issue. The owner helped me for free, when most others places would've charged a fee. They earned my business that day, and now it's the only place I go for tires and inspections. Friendly, fast and fair. I always recommend WNC Tire.

10/10. I found the workers at WNC to be friendly, informative and helpful. I brought my boyfriend’s car in because the TPMS sensors were out, despite the fact that we’d had them replaced less than two years ago at a different shop. The guy working the front desk validated my frustrations and indicated that unfortunately the manufacturing of this part has seriously declined over the last few years, and that they are seeing this problem pop up more and more frequently. That said, he was also transparent that the sensors being out wouldn’t actually impact the performance of my car. That had always been my understanding, but mechanics at other locations have tried to tell me all sorts of nonsense about how the sensors are required to pass the NC safety inspection and even that they would cause the car to get a lower gas mileage if I didn’t replace them. I opted to get the sensors replaced for ease of mind, but I appreciated that these folks did not make me feel rushed in the slightest and that they were honest about the extent of the problem in the first place. I also love the signage in the store. “Be Nice or Leave” is an excellent code of conduct in my opinion. It’s hard to be working class in this day and age, so I appreciate any business that puts the wellbeing of their workers before profits. WNC tire has a loyal customer in both me and my partner specifically because of this. Keep it up y’all.

I called to get a price quote and the fella I spoke to was super friendly and knowledgeable. He told me the tires I wanted are on site and no appointment was needed. I told em I'd check around a bit and call em back. Thought about it and Swannaoah businesses need our support more then ever, so I called back and they held the tires for me. Came in the next day to get em changed with no wait. Come support them!

Highly Impressed with WNC Tire! I couldn’t be happier with the service we received at WNC Tire! We recently purchased two sets of tires for our vehicles and were impressed by the range of quality options they offered. The team took the time to walk us through our choices and helped us pick out exactly what we needed, all while staying within our budget. But the excellent service didn’t stop there. They also performed multiple inspections on both cars, including checking the alignment, brakes, and fluid levels. They were thorough and detailed, and we left feeling confident that everything was in top shape. Not only did we get great tires at a competitive price, but the customer service was outstanding, with friendly staff who were eager to help. We will definitely be back for any future tire or maintenance needs. Highly recommend WNC Tire for anyone looking for reliable, top-notch service!

I visited WNC Tire yesterday, 1/22. I picked up a screw in one of my tires and had a slow leak. When I arrived, I was greeted and asked how I could be helped. I explained my tire and asked to have it plugged. The gentleman who helped me explained they do not plug tires but will patch it if possible. He was nice and respectful. Within 30 minutes, my car was brought out the and tire had been fixed. I settled the bill and went on my way with no problems. My husband and I have purchased 2 sets of tires previously here and had zero issues and they have been helpful with follow up inspections. We will definitely continue to support this business.

Got new tires from WNC right before the storm. They had to order them for me, super fast service. Great price in comparison to what I was seeing ant other places. And the owner and employees were all super nice! Sometimes reviews aren’t completely accurate, try them for yourself before assuming what you read online is true. I even met the owner personally at Ingles after the storm where him and his wife were providing meals for their employees! WOULD recommend to friends and family. And actually have. They have also had great experiences with this company.

Businesses thrive on professionalism, respect, and effective communication. Unfortunately, your response reflects a lack of these qualities. Instead of addressing concerns with respect, your message is hostile, dismissive, and unprofessional. Laughing at a customer’s financial difficulty and making personal attacks is unacceptable behavior, especially from someone in a service role. It is the responsibility of business owners and staff to handle situations with dignity, even when faced with challenging individuals. Your response shows more about your attitude than theirs. If you cannot maintain a professional standard, perhaps you should reevaluate your approach to customer service. Attitudes like yours may feel justified in the moment, but they erode trust and drive customers away. Word of mouth and online reviews carry significant weight, and if you consistently treat customers this way, it’s only a matter of time before your reputation suffers and your business fails. Successful businesses are built on respect and empathy—not on belittling and alienating the very people you serve. Hard working doesn't equal a good person!

Listen up, it's important you get a grip on the situation at your establishment. I run a local business in the vicinity and I'm an active member of the hospitality sector for the past nine months. Over the course of this period, I've referred a minimum of three of my guests to your place for their tire troubles. The first instance was a blatant display of unprofessionalism by an employee called Brody. Albeit grudgingly, I assumed he may have been having a rough day and didn't jump to conclusions. Today however, the behavior repeated itself. Yet another guest of mine was met with nothing but rudeness. When I confronted the bloke about his name, all he had to say was that he was the manager and threatened that if I were to march into his office with a sense of entitlement, it'd be better if we took our business elsewhere. No explanation or apology offered. Can you believe that? I am leaving it up to you to untangle the mess that your establishment is quickly becoming. The disappointment I am feeling is off the scale.

They bent both rims to my bike when popping the bead. When brought to their attention I was cussed, insulted, and threatened with police intervention. The place is a joke. Guy said he has been in business for 35 years but has the customer service skills of an infant. The original gentleman I was helped by when I arrived was great. The guy playing with his big white jeep can suck eggs.

Worst experience ever. I had a tire replaced on my truck, drove about 30 miles and luckily noticed in my mirror that my wheel was coming off of the truck while going down the interstate. I called to explain the situation to the owner of WNC tire, he was short with me refused to listen and hung up on me. I went by the shop to show him the pictures and videos of the damage to my vehicle. He was belligerent and refused to look at the pictures he also accused me of cussing at him. My intentions were for him to see that they did not tighten the Lugnuts sufficiently so that this would not happen to someone else. I understand people make mistakes but his unwillingness to even listen to me or look at the pictures was absolutely ridiculous. He threatened to call the the police to have me removed from the business absolutely ridiculous not once did I cuss him, not once did I say anything out of line to him.the owner of WNC tire is A hothead and needs to learn customer service skills. de-escalation tactics may be a good plan for his future. The following is my response to WNC tire owners response. You blaming this on rusty Lugnuts is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard in my life. You can clearly see from the photographs there’s nothing wrong with the Lugnuts or the studs. You did not use a torque stick on my truck I watched every step of the process. The cause of the situation is simple your employee did not torque my Lugnuts properly which caused them to loosen as I drove down the road. i’ve read many of your reviews it seems like you have an issue excepting any responsibility for anything, I even read one of your responses where are you called a customer a Karen and challenged his manhood. I believe your comments and actions are a poor example of customer service. We live in a very small town and I know you supply tires to all the other tire dealers in the area. This is why I bought tires from a dump trailer last week from Walmart at this point I refuse to buy tires from anyone who You supply. As I said we live in a very small community your reputation will get around. I would recommend to start treating people with respect and take responsibility when you’re wrong.

Had my first blow out on our camper on our way to Mama Gerties campground, it was a scary experience. Luckily WNC Tires was only a couple of miles away. I was so impressed with this establishment, the moment you pull up to their parking lot, you can almost smell the professionalism. Everything is so well organized and clean; the Lady at the front desk was very nice, the tire tech took care of me in just a few minutes, he too was very polite and friendly. Too bad I live in Raleigh and will need a new set of tires for my truck soon, but if I lived near this area, I would definitely have them service my truck. Keep up the good work Gentlemen. BTW, that blue RAM TRX I saw in the parking lot is Gorgeous!

Outstanding everything! From price, to customer service.. Brody and everyone here changed and replaced my travel trailer tires in record time and for an amazing price! I cannot begin to tell you how many places we’ve tried to get tires replaced at and nobody would help us, Goodyear, camping world, NO ONE. WNC carries cooper as well and they are my new fav truck tires (side note.) Thank you again, you guys RULE. We will be back.
